Falling for my Enemy(9)
Author: Loni Ree

She ignores me and sucks harder. Lights flash behind my eyes as the orgasm hits me. “Fuck.”

She gives my dick one final lick and looks over her shoulder at me. “All healed up?”

It takes a few seconds for my brain synapses to fire again. After I’m able to function, I realize my fingers are still stuffed in her tight hole. “Not yet.” I roll to my side and turn her before pulling her up against me. Pinching her clit causes her to squeak, and I soothe the little sting by running my tongue slowly around it.

After rolling onto my back, I pull Addie over on top of me and wrap an arm around her hips while I devour her pussy. “Oh, God.” She stiffens and cries. Her juices run down my face as she screams my name, her orgasm exploding through her.

“I’m dead.” She flops next to me on the bed, and I look over and smile.

“Does Dr. Banks need to resuscitate you?” I raise an eyebrow, and she shakes her head and groans.

“Any more of your tender loving care, and I’ll need a wheelchair.”

Chapter Ten

Addie

Today’s the grand opening of Main Street Landing. Roan has gone out of his way to make the new shopping center a success. The newly remodeled downtown area looks like a nineteen fifties movie set, but all the stores have modern equipment, and the mall has everything needed to draw crowds. Banks Properties has spent thousands of dollars on advertising for this weekend’s festivities, and the town is expecting record-breaking attendance.

“Baby,” I hear him walk in the garage door, “we need to leave in ten minutes.” Since we spend nearly every night together, I gave him a key to my house. I grab my purse and rush out of the bedroom. He watches me walk down the stairs and growls, “How do you get more beautiful every day?”

I wrap my arms around his waist and kiss his lips before stating, “You’re biased.”

“You’re gorgeous and mine.” He kisses me until I’m panting, then pulls back. “And I love you. Now, let’s go get today over with so we can come home and I can show you how much.”

He smacks my ass as I walk by, and I look over my shoulder and give him a fake glare. “That was uncalled for,” I complain.

“I couldn't resist. You’re determined to tempt me by wearing those ‘fuck me’ clothes.” He shrugs. We have this ongoing joke. He swears every outfit I own is too sexy. I tease him back by buying slinky little garments that are for his eyes only.

After he helps me into the front seat of his SUV, I lean forward and playfully bite his chin. “They’re called clothes. Regular clothes. I can’t find anything in my closet that doesn’t make you act like this.”

He kisses me until I’m a puddle of melted goo in the seat. “Because everything becomes a ‘fuck me outfit’ on your stunning body.” I glance down at the front of his dress pants and watch his erection grow. As wetness seeps into my panties, I squirm in the seat. This is going to be a long day.

Roan drops me off in front of Soap Addiction, and I turn to blow him a kiss. He winks before driving away, and I float inside to prepare for the day.

The day flashes by, and I barely have time to think. Sally and Dan brought me coffee earlier, and the caffeine perked me up, but now I’m starting to run out of steam. The doorbell jingles as Gloria, Rome, and Roan come waltzing into the shop. Roan steps behind the counter and kisses me in front of everyone in the store. “How’s the day been, baby?”

“Great. What about everywhere else?” I sigh as he takes my hand and holds it tightly.

Gloria and Rome come over and each gives me a little hug and says hello. Roan shoves his brother when Rome stands too close. “Go find your own girl,” he growls, and I laugh at his jealousy. Everyone knows I only have eyes for one Banks brother.

They discuss the success of the grand re-opening for a while before it’s time to start closing the store down. Roan looks over and smiles. “Mom and Rome want to go to dinner tonight.” He raises his eyebrow. “You feel like joining them?”

Exhaustion runs through me, but Roan will never leave me at home to have dinner with his family. Nodding, I agree to the night out. “Sure. It sounds like fun.” The imp in me can’t help but tease him. “What should I wear?”

Roan leans next to my ear and growls, “Your little ass will pay for that when I get you alone tonight.”

A couple of hours later, Hugh seats us at a table in the center of the Whistle Stop. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice all the other diners watching us. We’ll be the talk of the town by tomorrow morning.

Rome orders a bottle of champagne and looks over at Roan and blinks. He shrugs. “It’s a night to celebrate.”

After the waiter fills our glasses, Rome leans back in his chair and winks at me. I look over at Roan, but his seat is empty. He’s kneeling next to me, holding a ring case. Barely glancing at the ring, my mouth falls open and I stare at him. “I love you and can’t imagine living without you by my side. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” Sweat pours down his face as he pulls the huge diamond out of the light blue velvet and slips it on my finger. I look at the ring on my finger, and my heart beats like crazy in my chest. “I want everyone one in this town to know how much I love you. Please, tell me you feel the same way.”

Tears overflow from my eyes as I nod. “Of course, I’ll marry you.” I throw my arms around his neck, and applause breaks out throughout The Whistle Stop.

Rome and Gloria congratulate us before Roan whispers in my ear, “We don’t have to stay for dinner.”

He raises an eyebrow, and I bite my lip. “I have the perfect little outfit at home for this occasion.”

Roan looks over at his brother and growls, “Pay for the champagne and your dinner, and I’ll pay you back.”

When he tugs me to my feet and rushes me out the door, I hear Gloria tell Rome, “Dinner’s on him. Let’s splurge.”

Roan flies us to New York for the weekend. His penthouse and Banks Properties home office both overwhelm me. “I’m not sure I could manage living in New York.” As I stare out the massive wall of windows, my stomach drops. We’re on the thirty-fifth floor, and I miss having my feet on solid ground.

Roan walks up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. Relief courses through me when he leans down to whisper in my ear, “You don’t have to worry. We’ll only come back to visit every now and then. Chestnut Landing is my home now.”

I look over my shoulder at him and smile. “I can’t wait to marry you.”

He turns me in his arms and stares down into my eyes. “I’m happy you feel that way. We have a reservation at a chapel in Las Vegas tomorrow night.”

My mouth falls open, and he shrugs before gently lifting my chin. “Believe me, it’ll make everything much easier in the long run.” He looks up at the ceiling and sighs. “Do you really want a huge wedding? In New York, planned by my mother? Or in Chestnut Landing, planned by Sally and the gang?” Oh, hell no. He’s right.

“You know me so well.” I kiss his chin and smile. “Let’s head to Vegas.” Falling for my enemy ended up being the best thing ever. He’s my best friend, my other half, my soulmate.
