UnHinge Me (Savage Beast MC #6)(10)
Author: Hayley Faiman

“Oh my God,” she whispers. “It looks exactly like I’ve pictured every teenage boy’s room looks,” she breathes.

Turning my head, I look back at her from over my shoulder. “That’s because it was mine.” I grin.

“Ever had a girl in here?” she asks.

I let out a low laugh as I walk farther into the room. “Not back then, not here,” I say.

It’s the truth. I fucked girls behind the school, fucked them later in the clubhouse, didn’t ever bring them home. But seeing her standing here, her blonde hair, her expensive as shit clothes. It does something to me. She does something to me. She doesn’t belong and yet, she doesn’t look completely out of place either.

“Now you have one here, what are you going to do with her?” she asks.

I shake my head. “Babe, you couldn’t handle what I want to do to you,” I murmur.

She takes a step toward me, then another until she’s pressed against me. “I think that I could handle you just fine, Mountain,” she breathes. “But I think you’re scared of me.”

“Scared?” I snort.

She hums. “Terrified.”

There’s a moment of silence as we watch one another. We don’t say anything. There are a million questions on the tip of my tongue. I don’t ask them, possibly afraid that I won’t like the answers. Lifting my hand, I cup her cheek as I look into her blue eyes.

“Babe, no.”

Leighton smiles but doesn’t argue with me anymore. Instead, she leans into my touch. “You have a million questions swimming in those sexy black eyes of yours, Mountain. Why don’t you just ask them?”

“That obvious?”

She hums, nodding her head.

“Not ready yet,” I say.

“Can I ask one?”

I grunt, jerking my chin, wondering what she could possibly ask me. “Go for it, babe.”

“Why did you kill my father?”

I blink, wondering if I should tell her the truth. What would be the point in lying though? Leaning down, I touch my forehead to hers.

“He bought young girls to sexually abuse and throw away, to hurt and discard like trash. I couldn’t just let that shit slide, we couldn’t let it slide. It ain’t right.”

I wait for her outrage, for her to call me a liar. I wait, but it doesn’t come. Instead, I feel her hands on the side of my neck and she applies pressure. I lift my head just enough to look down into her blue eyes. They aren’t angry, instead, she’s looking at me with wonderment.

“Thank you, Mountain.”

“Thank you?”

She smiles softly. “Thank you for doing that. I couldn’t quite tell if your group was good or bad.”

“Mostly bad,” I say, interrupting.

“It doesn’t matter. You did something good, and you saved me from what was about to become a nightmare.”

“Who says you won’t live in one of those here?”

She shakes her head, lifting to her toes and touches her lips to mine. “You already killed my nightmare, Mountain.”

Chapter Four

MOUNTAIN

As much as I want to throw her down on my childhood double-size bed and fuck her until all of our nightmares disappear, I know that I can’t, not yet. Soon though. I want to find out just how much she knows about her father, just how in the dark or not she is. I don’t know why it’s so important to me, but it is.

I stand and turn from her, knowing that if I stay in this room, our clothes will probably just melt away, or I’ll rip them to shreds. Either way, they’ll be gone and I’ll find my way inside of her curvy little body.

“Doubt there’s any food here. You hungry?” I ask.

There’s a moment of silence, she doesn’t speak, so I turn around to look over at her. She’s got her back to me and is staring at my dresser. There’s a picture taped to the mirror. I don’t even have to look at it to recall what it’s of.

It’s a picture of my brother and me. I really don’t know why I ever kept it, he was a fucking piece of shit. Maybe I’d hoped that one day he’d change. Maybe I was just too fucking naïve for my own good.

“He looks like you,” she murmurs.

“You got any siblings?”

She looks back at me from over her shoulder. “No, thank God,” she whispers.

“Why thank God?”

She rolls her lips together, then turns to face me fully. She leans her ass against the dresser and it takes all of my control not to look at the mirror to see what the reflection looks like, if any of her skin is showing.

“Do you think that my father needed more children to fuck up?” she asks, arching a brow.

I watch her for a moment, wondering if I should push her for more information. Wondering if she would even tell me anything else. I decide against being too pushy, but do want to find out a little more.

“How did he fuck you up, Leighton?”

Her lips twitch into a small smile, her blue eyes sparkle and it almost looks disturbing. Too bad, little girls don’t scare me. I wait for her to say something, to answer me. She inhales a deep breath, then tilts her head to the side.

“How didn’t he?”

“You’re avoiding my question.”

She hums, pushing off the dresser. Her hips sway as she makes her way toward me. I don’t move, my eyes taking in every square inch of her as she closes the distance between us. She tips her head back, her eyes finding mine as her lips curve up into a smile.

“I am, Mountain. There’s a reason, good reason for it too. How about, when I’ve known you longer than five minutes, then maybe I’ll tell you all about my traumas? But until then, all you need to know is that my father and the life that I had with him was a nightmare.”

Her voice is soft, sweet sounding, her words have a bite to them and I know that she’s felt the deep wounds of whatever her father did to her.

I decide not to push her, though I will find out exactly what her past entails. I have to, for the sake of my club. At least that’s what I tell myself. It’s for the club, only for the club, nothing else.

It’s not because I want to get to know her, want to know everything about her. It’s not because I want a taste of her rich bitch cunt. No, it’s only for the club. Just the club.

Before I realize what’s happening, I feel her lips graze my jaw. I lift my hand, twisting my fingers in the back of her hair and tug her head back, forcing her neck to arch at an unnatural angle.

“No,” I growl.

“Mountain?”

I shake my head once. “You are not in control. You will not take control. You are at my mercy, Leighton, and that’s where you’ll stay,” I grind out.

She sucks in a breath, her eyes wide and I watch as the fear slowly seeps into her gaze. It’s beautiful. Grinning, I dip my chin and bare my teeth. Without a word, I lean forward and nip her bottom lip, biting it harder than I need to.

Leighton gasps, but she doesn’t pull away as I expect her to. Instead, she leans in closer. Lifting my other hand, I wrap it around the small of her back, holding her right in front of me. Looking into her eyes, I arch a brow as I watch her blue eyes darken with desire.
