Purgatory In Pink(7)
Author: M.J Knight

“Ahhh, la princesa hermosa.” He turns his head slightly to acknowledge he knows it's me behind him. “How’s it going with you?”

So, the little asshole thinks he can act ignorant.

“I won’t ask again. You are here for my entertainment; I am not here for yours. What is the problem, and why are you here?”

Fletcher pipes up from the background, “He had his hands all over Winnie!”

“He’s my boyfriend, you dick!” Winnie yells back at him, elbowing him in the stomach to get him to let her go, and she steps a few paces away from him.

“The fuck he is!” Holder roars, looking ready to pop a blood vessel in his reddened neck.

“See princesa, we mean no harm. We were just admiring the… mmmm…. view.” He says, his eyes skimming up and down Winnie, completely ignoring Holder’s outburst and speaking directly to her. “Estas hecho una manguita.”

“You’ve got some big balls, staking claim on this particular girl, but that’s not going to fly with Holder here.” I jut my chin out, indicating my angry man. “Now, how about you finish your meal, tip your waitress, and we never see you again? Sound good? Good. Bye-bye now!”

I lower my knife as the three men stand up. Dante nods to one of his henchmen, who tosses a couple hundred bucks on the table. Dante walks by Winnie; you can almost see the heart emojis popping out of her eyes at him.

“Mi piro. I’m going to get going, Winifred.” Dante coos at her as he walks towards the door. As one of his thugs holds the door open for him, Dante turns back to me, giving me a once over as well before giving me a wicked smile.

His laughter still ringin’ in my ears long after the door closes behind him. I shudder.

Turning back to the guys, Winnie looks royally pissed with a scowl that matches Holder’s. Judy comes out of the kitchen with our food already in to-go containers and a couple large takeout bags, handing them to Clint and Fletcher. “I’m not saying you have to go home, but you can’t stay here.” She says, reaching out to squeeze Cole’s muscled arm, as I just bury my face in my hands and sigh.

“We are sorry Judy, but consider tonight Winnie’s notice.” Holder states, never letting his gaze leave Winnie’s. Judy just shrugs in response.

Great, so now on top of being a new and unwanted Head, I also have to worry about whatever Dick has going on behind the scenes, and figuring out how to work around potential Winnie and Holder drama. All this on top of whatever the hell that was with the Asesino gang, while juggling my four fine ass boyfriends and their crazy ass families. This is going to be an interesting summer for us all.

Sighing, I throw my arm over Winnie’s shoulder and pull her along with me towards the exit, “Looks like you will be coming to work with me this week, kid. Got any money laundering experience?”

Winnie looks at me with a devilish smirk on her face. Good Lord, what have I just signed myself up for.

Chapter Six: Ayida

"So, we need to talk." I interrupt the guys arguing over the football game. I thought about how I was going to approach the subject all day, and now sitting in Cole's living room, they have full stomachs and a few beers, it seems like the best time.

"Oh shit. What did Holder do? He'll apologize. We'll make him. Come here, Holder!" Fletcher yells as he jumps across the coffee table and tackles poor Holder. I can't help but let my mind wander with Fletcher straddling Holder and them wrestling. They are so unfairly fucking hot. There has got to be something said about watching corded muscle against corded muscle.

“Might want to wipe that drool off your chin there, Blue.” Cole says with a knowing grin.

Clearing my throat, and wiping ‘said’ imaginary drool off my face just in case, "No, he didn't do anything...yet. It's about something that happened after the meeting." I trail off. Taking a gulp of my now warm beer. Trying to work up my courage.

"Trust us. We got a fairly good idea about what happened after the meeting." Fletcher teases, waggling his eyebrows at me. Of course, they would know about that.

"No, you perv. Ugh stop wrestling this is serious.” I say, standing up and running my hands through my messy hair. “Holder, I know we haven't been close very long so before I say what needs to be said, just know I would never try and hurt you in any way." I say, stopping to look Holder in the eye hoping he can see my sincerity in them.

"You mean except in the way he likes." Fletcher adds while climbing off Holder and sitting beside him. I level my best 'shut the fuck up before I stab you' look at him. He makes a zipping motion over his mouth as I go sit back down on the sofa again letting my gaze catch each of the men’s eyes for a moment.

"So, when I was waiting on Cole, I overheard Richard on a phone call. It sounded like he was up to something bad." I say as quickly as possible and wait to see reactions. To my surprise no one looks shocked.

"Richard is always up to something. He is a snake in the grass. Everyone knows that, but no one has proof. He's a slippery bastard. That's why he is always looking for a way to keep Holder from moving into his seat. He doesn't want to let go of the power he has. I mean everyone just overlooks the extra drugs or guns that he sells on the side." Clint is the first to speak and the other guys just nod along.

"No guys. The word on the street is he is selling women and children. I just can't ignore that. If these claims are true...I'm going to stop him. If y'all don't want to get involved- I understand. Y'all are not in charge yet, and I know I am putting y’all in a difficult position by just bringing this up, but I have to help the people he is hurting." I reply while looking at my feet. I can't handle the anger or hurt I might see if I look up.

"Baby Blue. You should know we are always with you. In anything you do." Clint says surprising me yet again when he wraps me in a tight hug.

"Yeah, we're a family now. We have each other's backs, always." Cole says while coming up to my back to add to the hug.

"You know me, girl. Can't get rid of me that easily." Fletcher says, adding a third to our cuddle party. Leaving Holder sitting on the couch watching us. He looks conflicted.

"Blue, I believe you. I really do, but I don't know if I can get in the middle of this. I have to get in that seat so I can finally be in charge of my own life. That means I can’t go against my father so publicly." Holder says hanging his head.

"Holder, I understand. It's okay." I reply while squeezing my way out of the hug and sitting next to Holder. I sometimes forget he is damaged. Not the same way I am, but still, he has legitimate issues too.

"So, what's the plan, Blue? What did you hear, and what are we going to do about it?" Cole asks while taking a seat next to me and rubbing my leg. His big warm hands sending shivers up my back.

"Well, he was talking to someone about a trip. He said he'll be down there soon. Wherever ‘down there’ is… " I'm having a hard time keeping on track. Fletcher snuck around behind the couch and started rubbing my shoulders, and kissing my neck teasingly, while Clint sat on the floor and pulled my feet to his lap, massaging my aching soles. I feel so spoiled right now. Closing my eyes, I let their magical hands take me away.
