Hollywood Double (Hollywood Name Game #4)(33)
Author: Alexa Aston

“Jealous?” she purred.

“Maybe.”

He pressed soft kisses along her jawline and then brought his lips to hers. Hungrily, he kissed her, his tongue sweeping into her mouth and luxuriating in her taste. Her arms went around his neck as she kissed him back. Shivers ran along his spine and he walked her a few steps until her back touched the wall. Mac held onto her waist, keeping her in place as he devoured her mouth, enjoying every squirm and sigh she made.

Knowing she would need to shower and remove the heavy set makeup, he said, “I don’t have time to do everything I want to do to you.”

“Then promise me you’ll do it when we get home,” she said breathlessly.

Grinning, he said, “Let me give you a little preview now.”

“Mmm, coming attractions are my favorite part of going to the movies.”

“Let’s see what you think of this sneak peek.”

Mac released her and reached for her hands behind his head. He unlocked them and lifted her arms high, pushing them back against the door above her head, trapping her wrists in his left hand. His right hand slid slowly down her body, brushing under her breast, following the curve of her hip until he reached the hem of her dress. He slipped it under, gliding up her toned thigh until he reached Keely’s panties, which were already damp. His finger slid beneath them, along the seam of her sex, and she quivered in need.

“Mac,” she said urgently.

“I’m here, baby.”

He inserted a finger and heard her gasp. His mouth covered hers and his tongue began mimicking the action of his finger. Keely groaned into his mouth as he pressed his body into her. He slipped a second finger in and she murmured something he didn’t understand. Her breathing quickened and he began stroking her more deeply. He tightened his grip on her wrists and found her sweet spot.

Keely exploded like a racehorse coming out of the gate. His mouth absorbed her hoarse cry as she tightened around his fingers, her body ensnared by his. She writhed, sexy little sounds coming from her throat. He let her ride out the orgasm and then she grew limp. Mac slipped his fingers from her, the dress falling back into place. He loosened his grasp on her wrists and her arms dropped to her sides. He kissed her once more for good measure and then broke the kiss.

Her hazel eyes glowed with passion. She moistened her lips, panting.

“Think you’ll come home for the full show?” he asked.

She kissed him, hard and quick. “I wish I had time to let you put on the full show here and now.”

Mac kissed the tip of her nose. “Go get ready. I’ll see you at home. I’ll even walk Jax before you get there.”

“Jax is with Marta today and won’t be home until Sunday night. She walks him sometimes and keeps him when I’m gone on location.” Her eyes sparkled. “I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to devote to you this weekend.”

He smiled broadly, his finger curling around a lock of her hair. “Here I was thinking I’d keep you in bed all tomorrow except for when the dog had to be fed or walked.”

“I’ve made it easy for you,” she said, her voice low and throaty. “Go. If you don’t, neither of us will make it where we’re headed.”

“See you later.”

Mac exited the trailer and went to his own. He tore off his clothes and hopped into the shower, turning it on full blast cold until his heated body cooled and then adjusting the temperature. He let the hot water sluice over his neck and back, all tension draining away. The caffeine had kicked in—as had his desire for Keely. Mac turned the faucet again and stayed under the cold spray until his thoughts cooled again and then turned it off and toweled himself dry. He dressed and headed for his truck, punching in directions for the restaurant Knox had made reservations at.

Fifteen minutes later, he pulled up and valeted. He entered the steakhouse and gave the hostess his name.

“Mr. Monroe is already seated. If you’ll follow me, Mr. Randall.”

The leggy blond sashayed ahead of him and led him to Knox, who sat at a table beyond the patio’s occupants in a separate, private area. As they shook hands, Breck arrived.

“I saw you and followed,” he said.

“Your server will be with you shortly.” The hostess walked away. Mac’s eyes never followed. Once upon a time, he would’ve already had her number and plans with the stunner for later tonight. Now, all he wanted was for dinner to be over so he could go home to Keely.

They ordered drinks and skipped appetizers, heading straight for steaks and baked potatoes with the works. The conversation flowed easily. Once again, Mac thought that not only was he lucky to have found Keely but he was also fortunate her friends had taken him in so readily.

Passing on dessert, Breck lit up a cigar. “It’s my once a month pleasure. I can’t smoke around Jo or Bruiser. I have mouthwash in the car and will have to rinse like crazy before I get home in case I want to get lucky.” He inhaled and slowly blew out smoke. “This is one hell of a cigar.”

Knox nodded to Breck and Mac realized something was up.

“So, this is more than friends getting together for dinner?” he asked.

“Dinner’s over,” Knox declared. “Time for a little business. Breck?”

Over the next few minutes, Breck outlined the bones of a screenplay he’d written that Knox had agreed to do and then decided to bow out so he could spend more time with London and the baby.

“We think you’d be a good fit for this role,” Breck concluded.

“A comedy?” Mac asked, incredulously. “A romantic comedy?”

“You’re funny,” Knox declared. “Keely thinks so, too. Plus, it would be a smart career move. Murder at Magic Hour is a fantastic story but you want to show your range and not get typecast.”

Mac shrugged. “I don’t even know if I’ll do another movie after this as an actor. Especially if it bombs. It may be straight back to stunt work for me.”

“Not from what Sydney’s told Dash and Cassie’s told Rhett,” Knox said. “They’re both impressed by your talent and those two powerhouses don’t dish out compliments freely.”

“I have some input on casting,” Breck added. “Knox only withdrew a week ago. It won’t begin shooting for several more months. If you’d like, I can have them send Carson the script.”

“And Keely,” Knox reminded. “I talked to her about it. She did a romantic comedy last year and was terrific in it. If you’re not interested, it would be good for her. Or even both of you.”

Mac nodded slowly. “Okay. You’ve ganged up on me enough. Send it to Carson and we’ll go from there.”

Breck blew out a perfect circle of smoke and grinned. “Good. Because I already did.”

Knox paid the bill and the three men walked out together. Knox reminded Mac that they were supposed to hit golf balls and they made plans to do so mid-week. Mac’s truck arrived first and he said goodnight.

As he pulled out from the parking lot, he realized he’d forgotten his script in his trailer. Despite wanting to keep Keely in bed all weekend, he had lines to learn. He’d made some notes inside it and wanted his copy so he drove back to the studio and parked in the spot bearing his name, still feeling a bit of pride. Mac got out, his nose wrinkling as he got a whiff of something burning. He supposed they were doing a night shoot somewhere on the lot that involved fire.
