Hollywood Double (Hollywood Name Game #4)(56)

He faced Keely and took her other hand in his, gazing into those hazel eyes he loved so well. “From the moment we met, my life changed in ways I never could have imagined. You’ve brought a richness to my every day. The sun is brighter. Food tastes better. I have meaning and purpose beyond the small world I used to inhabit. You’ve gifted me with a new circle of friends. A dog who’s a faithful companion. More importantly, you’ve brought love and light into my life.”

Mac paused, drinking in the woman in front of him, aware of every breath she took.

“I love you, Keely Kennedy. Not only now—but beyond forever—in this life and the next and all the ones to come.”

He swallowed, tears springing to his eyes. Nodding, Mac let her know that was all he would be able to get out.

Her hands tightened on his. “I would wait a lifetime for a single night with you, Mac Randall. Your kiss is the best thing in my life. You are the best thing in my life. We’ve been through so much together in such a short time and you’ve proven to be my rock. You allow me to be myself and yet I know I can depend upon you no matter what life throws our way. I only thought love with a soul mate existed in romance novels and Hollywood feel-good films. I never expected to find it for myself. Fate led me to you, Mac. I promise to love you each day and never let you go. I’ll share with you my hopes and dreams. My disappointments and disasters. And if we’re blessed with children, we’ll create a home for them filled with love and laughter. You’re my everything, Mac. My one and only true love.”

A tear ran down Keely’s face. Mac cradled her cheek and brushed it away with his thumb.

London nodded at Leroy, her lead guitarist who was seated on a stool to the side. He began strumming the strings. As Mac focused on Keely, he listened to the words of the song London sang, knowing she’d written it for them. By the time the last note died, Mac dropped Keely’s hands to pull out a handkerchief and mop away her tears—and his.

They turned back to Greg, who had them recite their vows to one another. Knox gave Greg their rings and Mac and Keely slipped the simple bands onto one another’s fingers as they pledged their love in front of those gathered.

“By the power invested in me, I hereby declare this lovely, loving couple to be husband and wife.” Greg beamed at them. “Mac, you may kiss your bride.”

He enveloped Keely in his arms. Their lips met in a timeless kiss, one full of promise and love and everything good in life. He broke the kiss and stared at her in wonder, knowing they were now married.

“I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie Randall!” Greg exclaimed.

A cheer went up and the flower girls began tossing the remainder of their rose petals into the air, squealing with joy as only girls can. Jax stood on his hind legs and loudly yodeled his approval and then ran across the back yard as Kyle and Drew chased him. Friends pressed close, congratulating them and wishing them the best of everything in life.

Suddenly, a wail went up. Mac saw London scoop Madison into her arms.

“The littlest Monroe says it’s time for everyone to eat,” London declared. “Knox, please get things started while I step away.”

Her husband pressed a kiss to her brow. “With pleasure, Mrs. Monroe.” He looked at Mac and Keely. “There’s a buffet filled with all kinds of treats. Why don’t you two be the first to go through it?”

Mac linked his arm through Keely’s and led her to the enormous spread of food. They filled their plates and sat at a large table, soon joined by their friends. Once London returned, they cut into the wedding cake and then danced as Leroy played an Ed Sheeran song and London sang quietly alongside him.

Carson joined them at the table once they’d danced a few numbers. The agent wore a huge grin.

“You two give me hope that there’s someone out there for me,” he said. “In the meantime, I know it’s a faux pas, but I’m going to talk a little business with you.”

Mac assumed the agent had landed him an audition for Breck’s movie. Mac had read the script and found himself laughing out loud at parts, eager to show the casting director what he could do with the role.

“If you want to do Breck’s movie, the role is yours,” Carson revealed.

“What? No audition?” Mac asked, confused.

“Breck pressed the producers and director and Sydney showed them a rough cut of Magic Hour. They loved you.” Carson turned to Keely. “And they always wanted you for the heroine. It’s a good move, career-wise, for you both.”

She looked to Mac. “Are you willing to go to work with your wife every day, Mr. Randall?”

He slipped an arm around her waist. “As long as you’re willing to come home with me every night, Mrs. Randall.”

Carson beamed. “Excellent. I’ll let the producers know. Filming starts in four months but they’ll need you in three for fittings and rehearsals. I’ll email you all of the details.” He excused himself.

Cassie leaned down and put a hand on each of their shoulders. “Rhett and I haven’t decided what to get you for a wedding present but I do have something for Mac.”

Keely sucked in a quick breath. “You finished it?”

Cassie smiled. “I did.” Squeezing his shoulder, she said, “I’ve written something special. It’s turned out better than anything I’ve ever done. I can’t believe how fast it came to me. RCDS wants you for the lead, Mac. It’s got action and comedy. You’d be the lead but it’s got strong supporting roles for Rhett, Dash, and Knox. With everyone’s schedules filling up, I’m hoping we could begin shooting a year from now. I know you haven’t read it—”

“Yes,” Mac said quickly. “I don’t have to read it to know it’s right for me.” He stood and kissed Cassie’s cheek. “No other present required.”

Mac danced with Keely a few more times and then he asked, “Do you think anyone will mind if we slip away?”

Keely smiled. “I thought you’d never ask.”

Holding hands, they made a quick round of goodbyes, thanking Knox and London for opening their home and hosting the wedding.

“We were happy to do it,” Knox said. “Call when you get back from your honeymoon road trip and we can have dinner.”

“You’re on,” Mac said.

Keely whistled and Jax came running. Mac walked hand in hand with her to his truck, now decorated with Just Married shoe polished in the window and cans attached to the back. He opened Keely’s door and Jax bounded onto the seat.

She wrapped her arms around his neck. “Did I ever tell you how crazy I am about you?”

“You just did.” Mac kissed her. “Let’s go home and make a baby.”
