Chapter 12
Shepard’s POV
I spent the rest of the day, either fucking Gianna or eating her pussy. I couldn't get enough of the woman. When she did end up passing out, I went down to the main area to find out how my brothers were doing.
I saw Rooster raising a glass to a man I didn't know, but he seemed very happy to be in the compound. I walked over to see what the celebration was.
"What's happening?" I looked at Rooster than over to Kat, who was sitting next to the man I didn't know.
"Kat brought us some new blood."
I couldn't believe my ears. I’d been here double the time that Kat had been here, and I still wasn't allowed to suggest recruits.
"What the fuck? How did that shit happen? We just letting anyone in now?" I turned to look at the man who was supposed to be our new prospect; he looked like a pussy.
"Watch who the fuck you are talking to Shep. You know, just like I know, we’re always looking for new brothers."
"Rooster, this is bullshit, and you know it. I have been here for years and have yet been given the go-ahead to bring prospects in. Why the fuck do you trust this bastard's opinion more than mine?" I turned to look at Kat, who stood up to get in my face.
"Maybe because I have more to offer this club than you ever would. People know a leader when they see one, you ain't it Shep."
I wanted to punch Kat in his face, but something sparkly caught my eye, "Nice earring, is that like a one and half karat?"
He raised his hand, trying to block my view. "Why are you clocking my gear? You jealous fuck."
I stopped talking, there was nothing else for me to say, I had no idea where he was getting all the money needed to buy these extravagant items, but I knew we didn't usually throw around what we have by buying jewelry and new bikes. Kat was doing something that he shouldn't be doing, and I was going to find out what.
“What now you going silent? I should’ve known." Kat turned to Rooster, who was waiting on me to answer back, but there was nothing more for me to say. I thought I smelled a rat before, and as much as I didn't want to believe it was one of my brothers, I wasn't going to deny this.
I looked back to Rooster, still pissed off that he would even allow Kat to bring someone in, but this was his world, I was just living in it.
"When is Tex going to start making more Bunny?" Rooster asked just as I was about to turn and go about my business.
"Rooster, he just got back on his meds, you know he’s going to need a few days to get his shit together. I’m sure as soon as he does, he’s going to be back to business."
"You’re right, let me know when he’s on his feet." He went back to talking to his recruit.
I had to get all my evidence together before I went to Rooster with this. I had to be sure.
Chapter 13
Gianna's POV
I didn't even know how I got in the position that I was in, one minute I was trying to figure out a way to save my brother the next minute I was shooting a junkie because I was tired of believing everyone's lies.
I opened the door to Shepard's room, now that I was out of the basement, I was pretty much at a loss for what I was supposed to be doing, but I knew that I didn't want to be stuck in a room for long periods of time anymore.
I walked down the long corridor, but I didn't see anyone, it seemed like everyone was in the main area. I could go over there, but the last thing that I wanted was to find Shepard doing something with one of the club whores again. I didn't think I was going to be able to handle that.
"No, stop it." A small voice carried in the air.
I walked closer to the back rooms and listened closely again for the voice.
"No!" It said a little louder.
I found the room that it was coming from, and I opened the door, it was the man who had slapped me in the face with his semen. At first, I wanted to turn around, but something about the way he was whimpering and flinging his body around made me feel sorry for him.
"Hey, are you ok?" I walked slowly over to where he was lying down. I didn't want to startle him. "Hey, Tex?"
"Hmm?" The large man sat up in his bed, his eyes scanning the entire room, when he settled on me, he let out a sigh of relief. "I know you, the sister. I know you." He reached his hand out to me.
I walked over to him and sat down on the bed next to him.
"I'm scared; they always come when I'm sleeping. They keep trying to take the formula."
"Who? Who keeps coming for you while you sleep? I wanted to hate this man, but for the life of me, I couldn't. He seemed like a big southern teddy bear. A little boy who needed his momma after a bad dream. I let him lay his head in my lap, and I ran my fingers through his hair.
"Lay down?"
Alarms started ringing in my head. I didn't want to have sex with him. I hoped he didn't get the wrong idea with me coming in here. "Tex, I don't think-"
"No, nothing bad, I want you to see the stars with me. They’re pretty." I looked up at the slate color ceiling. I guess his drugs had not kicked in all the way yet. I laid back next to him, and he nuzzled up close to me, while he pointed up and told me all the stars that he could see. I didn't see anything, but I was entranced with how he was explaining it to me.
"You know that we can't see millions of stars like they say, really its only a few thousand that we can see with the naked eye. You see that one over there? It's actually not blue! Don't you wish you could go up there and just touch it?" He seemed so excited about it.
"No, I didn't know that," I laughed lightly as he continued to point at things.
"What the fuck is this?"
Shepard's POV
I spent a little time with my brothers after my conversation with Rooster, but I couldn't stop my mind from racing. The more I thought about it, the more it seemed like Kat could be the one who’d been stealing product from Tex to sell under the table, I had no idea how long he’d been doing it. Kat was one of Rooster's closest friends, so proving he was cheating us wasn’t going to be easy. Just thinking about it was giving me a fucking headache.
I got up to check on Tex before I made my way back to my room, already I was anticipating falling back into Gianna's sweetness.
"You see that one over there?"
I leaned in close to the door and could hear a woman giggling. He must be in there with one of the whores. I backed away slightly, but I heard another giggle, this one had me seeing red.
That wasn't a whore, that was Gianna. My Gianna!
I kicked in the door, and just as I thought, Tex and Gianna were in bed together.
"What the fuck is this?"
I stormed over to the bed and grabbed Gianna by her hair, and pulled her out of bed.
"I keep you here, pay your brother's debt off, make sure none of the others mess with you, and you sneak out and fuck the first person you see! You dumb slut! That’s what you want? To run through by all my brothers?" The anger poured out of me.
"No! No, I didn't do it!"
"I'm not blind! You were in bed with him." I used my grip on her hair to slam her down to the ground.
