Daddy in Cowboy Boots (Montana Daddies #9)(63)
Author: Laylah Roberts

Excitement flooded her. Maybe she should just peek at something else. She grabbed another package and opened it up. Ooh. It was her crafting stuff. This was so much fun. Look at all the glitter. She couldn’t wait to create something with this.

This was even better than Christmas.

Linc climbed out of his truck and stretched. Last night as his baby slept, he’d gotten all caught up on paperwork so he could spend the afternoon with her. After her nap, of course. He thought most of the stuff he’d ordered was here, so he’d unpack some while she was sleeping and set up her playroom.

He was looking forward to spending more time with her Little. He hadn’t pushed her on it, wanting her to open up on her own. But he figured this would help her relax more and put her in the right headspace.

Tonight, he might also convince her to let him bathe her. He’d ordered some special toys for the bath. For her big and her Little.

He had to adjust himself before he entered the house. His cock seemed to be constantly hard. He dreamed about her sweet pussy. Christ, he couldn’t think of her pussy right now or he’d have to go take a cold shower.

After taking off his jacket and boots, he walked into the living room. “Mari-girl? Where are you?”

He came to a complete stop.

Holy. Shit.

The living room was a mess of packaging, toys, clothes and flat-pack furniture. Marisol turned from where she was pouring glitter onto a piece of cardstock. But as she turned, the glitter continued to pour out.

Right onto the carpet.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

He closed his eyes for a moment. In. Out. In. Out.

“Daddy? Daddy, are you okay?”

In. Out. It was just a mess. It was easily tidied up. That glitter might be an issue but that was what vacuum cleaners were for.

“Daddy? Oh God, have I killed you?”

He opened his eyes and looked down into Marisol’s concerned eyes. She was biting at her lip worriedly, shifting her weight from foot to foot. She was wearing a pair of yoga pants and her cute cat hoodie.

“Are you okay, Daddy?”

“Marisol, what did Daddy tell you about all the packages?” he asked in a low voice.

She looked down at her feet. “That I wasn’t to open them until you got home.”

“And so why have all the packages been opened? Why are you playing with your crafting stuff?”

“I’m sorry, Daddy. I finished Caley’s story and then I got bored. And the packages were just sitting there, going, ‘Open me, Marisol. Open me.’ I swear, they spoke to me.”

“The packages spoke to you?”

“Uh-huh.”

“That’s the excuse you’re going with?”

“It’s not an excuse. It’s the honest truth.”

“Honest. Truth.” He placed his palm over her forehead. “You don’t have a temperature. But if you’re hearing voices, I think I best check properly.”

“Properly?” she asked.

“Uh-huh. The only proper way to take a Little’s temperature is to use a rectal thermometer. Take your pants off and bend over the couch, I’ll be back in a moment.”

“No! I don’t have a temperature, the packages didn’t talk to me. I made it up.”

He crossed his arms over his chest. “You’re in trouble, little girl.”

Uh-oh.

“I’m sorry, Daddy. Once I got started, I just couldn’t stop.”

“You shouldn’t have even started, should you?” he said sternly.

“No, Daddy. You’re not going to punish me, are you?” she asked in a small voice.

“Do you think you deserve to be punished?”

Damn him. She couldn’t lie. But answering honestly was going to land her in trouble.

What was a girl supposed to do?

She didn’t want to be punished.

Don’t you?

Crap. She was all messed up.

“You boxed me in neatly,” she muttered.

He gave a huff of laughter. “Why, teeny, whatever do you mean?”

She gave him a dirty look and his eyebrows rose. “Uh-uh, watch out or the wind might change and your face will end up like that.”

Marisol rolled her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest. “That’s not true, Daddy.”

“It is. Happened to a baby girl I knew. She was grouchy because her Daddy wouldn’t buy her an ice cream. The wind changed and that poor girl now has a permanent frown.”

“Daddyyy,” she complained at his silliness. “That’s not true.”

“Do you really want to take that chance?”

She thought about that and shook her head. “No, Daddy.”

“Now, you didn’t answer me. Do you need to be punished for disobeying Daddy?”

She thought about it. She had disobeyed him. And she did feel guilty for opening all the packages.

“Do you know why I wanted you to wait?”

She shook her head.

“It wasn’t so I could torture you. It was so I could see your face as you opened each package. I thought it would be like watching you on Christmas morning.”

Oh God.

“Oh, now I feel awful,” she wailed dramatically. “I’m the worst Little girl in the world.” Tears filled her eyes.

“I wouldn’t go that far,” he soothed her.

“I am! I’m so naughty. And I feel so terrible. I’m so sorry, Daddy.” As she sobbed, he drew her close, pressing her face against his chest.

“Shh, baby. Shh. It’s not the end of the world. You weren’t that naughty. Shh.”

“I was. I deserve a spankin’.”

“Yeah? And how many smacks should I give you?” he asked.

“Twenty!”

“A whole twenty, gosh. You are feeling guilty. Guilt isn’t a good emotion to feel, is it?”

“No.”

“A punishment can clear all of that away. Is that what you want? To be punished so you no longer feel guilty?”

“Yes, Daddy.”

“All right. Then Daddy will punish you for disobeying him.”

She sniffled. With a sigh, he moved her towards the couch. Sitting, he drew her onto his lap then reached over for some tissues, wiping her face gently.

“Easy, teeny. There’s no need for so many tears. At least not until you actually get your spanking.”

“Oh no, you’re going to spank me?” she cried.

“You just told me you thought you deserved to get twenty smacks on your bottom.”

“Yes, but . . . but . . . oh no.”

“Oh no, indeed. Hush, now.” He held the tissue to her nose and she blew. Gross. “Calm down.” He held her tight, running his hand up and down her back. “Good girl.”

“Are you gonna spank me now?”

“We’re going to have some lunch then you’re going to help me clean this up. Then you can go over my knee for a spanking before I put you to bed for an extra-long nap.”

She opened her mouth to protest then saw the stern look on his face.

Well. Darn it.

Marisol helped Linc tidy up all the packaging. He vacuumed up the glitter while she cleaned up her crafting stuff. She felt awful about the mess she’d made as well as disobeying him.
