Ethan (Confessions #7)(17)
Author: Ella Frank

He could hear the clicking of her heels as she followed after him. They rounded the final corner and her eyes locked on to Ethan, who was waiting by the elevator, and those heels came to an abrupt stop.

That’s right, Red. We’re just getting started…

Zayne walked over to Ethan and handed him the papers, and then looked back to see that Chloé hadn’t moved.

He understood how she felt. It was one thing to fantasize about a night like this, but to finally come face to face with the reality of it? That was a whole different thing.

“Welcome back, petite fille.” Ethan’s voice was like a trigger for Zayne’s dick, giving it permission to finally get hard. “It’s good to see you again.”

ETHAN STUDIED CHLOÉ closely as he allowed her a moment to process what was about to happen. She’d clearly agreed to the terms of the contract, otherwise Zayne wouldn’t have allowed her back. But as she looked between the two of them now, Ethan got the feeling she was second-guessing herself.

“You look beautiful tonight,” he said, walking over to her, and he could tell by the soft inhale that passed her lips that the compliment surprised her.

She quickly regrouped, though, and offered up her sassiest smile, clearly trying to project a picture of confidence.

“I’m glad you think so.”

“Are you? Did you dress tonight to please Zayne and myself?”

She opened her mouth, and if Ethan had to guess, an automatic no was on her lips. But before she said the word, she stopped and seemed to think it through.

“Chloé?”

“I did, yes.”

Well, well, well. Would you look at that.

“And how do you feel knowing that we approve?”

She swallowed, and Ethan didn’t miss the way she fidgeted with the purse in her hand. “I like it.”

He nodded and glanced over his shoulder to Zayne, who chuckled.

“What?” she said looking, between the two of them. “Is there something wrong with liking that?”

“Of course not.” Zayne winked at her. “Nothing makes us happier than when someone wants to please us, and you definitely did that.”

“He’s right,” Ethan said. “You should feel proud. I’m particularly hard to please.”

Chloé frowned as he looked back to the papers in his hand. He circled behind her and began flipping through them.

“Tell me, Chloé. What do you do when you’re not out frequenting sex clubs on the weekend? Do you work?” He stored away each and every one of the preferences she’d marked down, and his cock was really fucking happy to see that she had nothing against the idea of putting her glossy lips around it.

“Um, yes, I do. At the restaurant JULIEN.”

He knew that name. It was one of the top restaurants in Chicago. “They serve French cuisine, don’t they?”

Chloé looked over her shoulder at him, surprise flashing in her eyes. “Oui, they do.”

Ah, things were starting to make sense now.

He continued on around her until they were again face to face. “Did you learn the language because of that?”

“Uh…” She hesitated for a moment, obviously confused by his random questions, but there was a method in his madness. She would just have to be patient. “Yes. The owner speaks English but also fluent French. So I, uh, decided to learn.”

“That’s impressive. Not many people would bother learning a whole new language when English was available to them.”

A small grin tugged at Chloé’s lips, and Ethan wondered at it.

“I like pushing myself, trying new things—clearly.”

“Clearly.” Ethan turned to the last page, where her safe word, Paris—again with the French—and hard limits were listed, and wondered just how far that exploration extended.

No fire play, needles, knives, or cutting.

No acts that will leave permanent marks on the skin.

No acts involving breath play, and no anal penetration.

That last one was interesting, as it wasn’t all that taboo these days, but her note at the bottom gave further insight: I’m not into pain for pleasure. I’m open to the idea of being told what to do and how to do it, and being used to give maximum enjoyment to both of you.

He wasn’t shocked by her choices at all. As she was a first-timer, he would’ve been more surprised had she allowed any of those. She was being honest about what she wanted, and he and Zayne could definitely work with this.

“What about school?” he asked. “Do you go?”

Chloé studied him closely, clearly still at a loss as to why he wasn’t asking about what he’d just read. He folded the papers and tucked them inside the pocket of his jacket.

“Uh, not right now, no. I’m sorry, but I didn’t realize you needed to know all of this for what we’re about to do.”

“We don’t. I just figured some small talk would ease your nerves before I tell you to take your clothes off.”

Her mouth parted, and she looked at Zayne. She was out of luck, though—he wasn’t going to help her.

“You want me to strip, here?”

“Yes.” Ethan clasped his hands behind his back and lowered his eyes over her. “While we appreciate the effort you went to, and you look absolutely stunning, you’re not going to need your clothes upstairs, and this is where your night begins.”

Chloé worried her lower lip, and the pulse at the base of her neck fluttered like the wings of a butterfly.

“If this isn’t what you want—”

“It is,” she said in a rush, like if she didn’t get the words out, she might change her mind. “It’s just… I…” She swallowed and let out a breath. “What should I do with this?” She held up her purse.

Zayne stepped forward, taking it for her. “I’ll put it in our cabinet over here until you’re ready to leave.”

“Thank you.”

“You got it.” Zayne entered the combination to the locker-sized cabinet, and when he opened it, Chloé gasped.

“Don’t worry too much.” Ethan looked at the whips, crops, and other paraphernalia they used with their thirds at the club. “There’s only one thing he’ll be getting out of there tonight. Something you’re familiar with, I believe.”

Zayne took out a coil of black rope, moved behind her, and slowly unzipped her dress.

“You read and signed the contract,” Ethan said, all business now. “So I assume you know the rules going forward. But if you have any questions, you should ask them now, because after this, you will not talk unless you are given permission to do so.”

Chloé’s eyes flashed, and she clearly had an immediate urge to tell him to fuck off—and damn if his dick didn’t like that.

“Well, any questions?” he said.

“Only one.”

“And that is?”

“What do I call you?”

Ethan’s lip curled. He’d noticed she’d left that blank. “What would you like to call us?”

“Anything but Daddy.” Her response was quick. This was something she’d clearly thought about. “I don’t want or need one of those here.”
