Reining in the Bad Boy : An MM Holiday Romance(27)
Author: Jacki James

“Love you too,” he replied, pulling my mouth back to his.

I kissed him and moved against him, my body and mind at war. One wanted to go slow, and the other wanted more, now. I pulled back and looked at him. “Landon, there’s something I need to say before we do this. I know you said you knew about my past before we started this, and that it doesn’t matter—”

“It doesn’t.” he insisted.

“But,” I continued, ignoring him. “I want you to know that while I’ve had sex with other men, I have never made love with anyone but you. What we share, what we do together, is not the same. It’s so much more.”

He reached up, lightly brushing his fingers over my cheek. “I know that, Miller. It’s the same for me. Now, why don’t you stop telling me how much you love me and show me.”

He didn’t have to tell me twice. I reached for the lube and a condom and got us both ready. He gasped before letting out a satisfied sigh, and I slid slowly into his ass. “Yes,” he hissed when I was fully seated inside him. It took more willpower than I thought I possessed to keep from pounding into him, but I was determined to make this time special instead of rushed and mindless.

“Miller,” he whined. “Please, move.”

I pulled out slowly and then pushed back in, taking my time. “Is that what you wanted?” I asked, repeating the long slow motion. He let out a whimper and thrust his hips up, impaling himself on my cock.

“More, I need more, don’t tease me. You know what I want.”

And he was right. I did. I let my body take over and take what it wanted. I began to pound into him, setting a satisfying rhythm. It was hard and fast, moving together as we both chased our orgasm.

He grasped his cock and jerked himself as I picked up speed, thrusting into him with wild abandon. His body stiffened under mine as cum shot up over his chest, coating it. I quickly pulled out and ripped off the condom, jerking myself until I came, my cum pooling on his body and mixing with his.

I rolled to the side, taking him with me, pulling him tight against me. We were both out of breath, and my body still hummed with the power of the orgasm. I wrapped my fingers in his hair and tugged his head tighter into the crook of my neck. “Fuck, I love you.”

“Yeah, I kinda got the message,” he said, laughing.

“Oh, hold on,” I said, rolling to the side. I picked up my phone and checked the time. Five after twelve. I showed him the screen, and he fell back laughing.

The smell of coffee and bacon woke me up the next morning. I stretched, relishing the slight soreness from the night before. Dishes clattered from the kitchen, and I decided to get up and see what Miller was up to. I appreciated him making breakfast, but I wouldn't have minded passing most of the morning in bed. I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, combed my hair, and headed to the kitchen.

I paused in the doorway to watch for a minute. He had some slow, sultry blues playing, and he was swaying to the music while he cooked. I wasn’t sure how I got lucky enough for bad boy Miller Monroe to decide I was worth settling down for, but I wasn't going to question it. I was just going to enjoy it. I stepped up behind him, wrapping my arms around him.

“Hmm, morning,” he said, leaning back into me.

“You didn't have to cook me breakfast.”

“I wanted to. Plus, there’s something I want to show you.”

“Yeah, well, let's eat and go back to bed. I have something I can show you, too.”

He laughed and turned in my arms. “Kind of like show me yours and I'll show you mine? I’m pretty sure I've already seen what you have, but trust me, mine is a surprise.”

“A surprise, huh?”

“Yep, so first breakfast, then we have to take a little drive.”

He seemed so excited I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd just as soon stay home in bed, but I had to admit by the time we finished eating and headed out, I was curious. He refused to give me any details at all, but it was easy to see that this was something that mattered to him. We set out down the road that led to the ranch, and I wondered if that was where we were going, but he drove past it and turned into a driveway about a mile farther down the road. I watched as we drove down a long tree-lined lane that ended in front of an older rock house. The house was adorable, but I had no idea who lived here.

Miller got out of the SUV and motioned for me to follow him. “Whose house is this?” I asked. It looked empty, so maybe it was a house he had listed for sale. He’d never taken me to one of his listings, but I was happy to look with him.

“It's mine,” he said. “I just bought it. For you.” He stopped and shook his head. “I'm saying this all wrong. For us. I bought the house for us.” I just stared at him in shock, so he continued. “I thought it would be perfect. It isn't far from the ranch for you to get to work, and there’s enough land for you to have a horse of your own.”

He took out a key and opened the door, motioning for me to go inside.

“You…you bought a house for us? When?” I looked around, and it was perfect. I didn't expect the open floor plan, or the large modern kitchen based on the outside, but this house was amazing.

“Shortly before Christmas. I even thought about giving it to you for Christmas, but then I decided a house was maybe over the top when we’d only been dating for a month.”

I couldn't help but laugh. “You think so, do you? And to think, I used to think those car commercials around the holidays were stupid because seriously, who buys someone a car for Christmas. But a house? You bought me a house for Christmas?”

“I did not give it to you for Christmas. And it’s for us, Landon. I want to share a life here with you.”

“Oh no, you bought this before Christmas, so I get to tell everyone my boyfriend bought me a house for Christmas.”

“Baby, as long as you live here with me, you can tell people anything you want. But I was thinking maybe instead of saying your boyfriend, you could tell people it was your fiancé.”

My mouth dropped open in shock. I had to have misheard. Did Miller Monroe just ask me to marry him? “Fiancé?” I asked.

He took my hand and led me through the living area out onto a sun porch. “Look out there,” he said, motioning to the backyard. “Can't you imagine a life here? Me and you, a dog, maybe even a couple of kids? Because I can. I was standing right here that day, looking out over the yard. And I knew. I just knew this was supposed to be our life. Our home. This is where I realized that I loved you more than I ever imagined loving anyone else and that I wanted to spend my life with you.”

I stood there looking out over the yard, and yes, I could see it. And it was more than I ever thought was possible. “It's perfect,” I whispered. He turned to look at me. “This house is perfect. You’re perfect. Let's do it. Let's get married and have a life here in this house. Let's have dogs and cats and horses and kids and all of it.”

“Really?” he asked.

“Yes, really, you silly man. Was there any part of you that thought I would say no? I mean, come on, you bought me a house for Christmas, that right there is a story to tell our grandchildren. Who could say no to that?”
