Different with You (Matchbox #1)(37)
Author: E.H. Lyon

“Oh yeah? It sounds risky. I mean, shouldn’t the patient be resting?” She nibbles her bottom lip as she slides my shirt up.

“No. The patient needs to be very active and test his cognitive ability and memory skills,” I continue as my mouth goes to her stomach to kiss a line up her smooth skin towards her bra.

She shudders under my lips brushing along the lace fabric. “Memory skills?”

My fingers come to play with the fabric and move it to the side. “Uh-huh… I remember what I need to do here, I think.” My mouth finds her soft plump skin.

“Hmm it seems you do remember.” She has a husky voice and her hands grab some of my hair as I find a nipple. “What else do you remember?” she purrs.

After a few sucks, I move my mouth to meet hers. She’s waiting for me, and our mouths fuse together for a firm kiss. Meanwhile, my two long fingers slide under the rim of her jeans and move lower to feel her warm and moist center. I sometimes wonder if she always feels this ready when I’m around.

“How to make you feel good. I remember that,” I whisper before I rub her bead and she gasps with a look of pleasure.

“Lucas, let me take care of you,” she pleads as her hand reaches down to try and find my crotch.

“You are not listening,” I protest, and it earns me a droll smile from her.

“Your memory must be a little rusty, because I like to make you ready,” she reminds me as she continues to reach down, and when she finds my straining dick that is trying to break free from my pants, I am done for.

She wins.

I go to lie on my back, and she moves to take off my jeans and boxers.

After she licks and sucks me into a near finish line, she moves to sit on top of me. Our eyes meet as she adjusts her hips and wiggles around my center until her opening is perfectly aligned with the tip of my cock. Her long moan renews a surge of energy to my cock as she picks up her rhythm as she moves up and down. A gorgeous image of only a light pink bra on as she rides me with determination and that sweet smile appearing between moans.

“You are so fucking gorgeous, Abby.”

Her smile widens. “Ah, you do remember,” she teases.

I have to let a chortle out as I move to sitting and pull her close so we can hit the final stretch together.

And we do, my arms wrapping around her as we both pant. Unravelling in a mess of I love you’s and I’m coming. Collapsing together, we both have a sated smile on our faces.

“We’re going to be okay,” I tell her before I kiss her head.

“I know. As long as we’re together then we can go whatever way we want to go,” she says before nuzzling into my chest. I pull her closer because she’s right.

Chapter Twenty-Two

Abby

The last six weeks have been a whirlwind. My clinic is getting overrun by an influx of animals that seem to get into a lot of trouble during the summer months. The pets of Sage Creek enjoy working on their sun tans, lounging on rafts in the river, and eating a lot of things that they should not eat at family BBQs. That’s just the craziness of the clinic.

Theo is with Lucas for the summer and the kid needs a lot of entertainment. We took him to the lake for a few days, which was great for all of us. Theo got worn out playing all day, Romeo swam for hours, and I was exhausted from what Dr. Kade did to me at night.

Lucas and I keep flowing forward like a smooth whiskey that slides down your throat with perfection. That is on my mind because Nate brought over a few bottles of Matchbox’s house blend. The brothers had a good night last night in the backyard. I didn’t mind as I needed sleep.

Heaps of sleep, because today I have so much to do.

I look at my creation in front of me and eye the cake from different angles. My knife finishes icing the green-colored cake. Jess comes to sit at the kitchen island with her bump on show.

“Look at you, stepmom of the year.” Jess beams at me.

Looking up from the cake, I throw her a questioned look. “It’s just a simple cake.”

“It’s not,” I hear Lucas say as he comes into the kitchen and wraps his arms around me from behind. “It’s a lizard-themed cake along with the green balloons and the lady bringing reptiles to show the kids. All thanks to Abby.” He tightens his arms around me as he pulls me tighter.

“Well, it’s not every day a kid turns five, right?” I shrug.

Jess and Lucas look at each other and laugh.

“Where is the birthday boy?” Jess asks.

I can feel Lucas tilt his head over his shoulder. “Outside at the pool with Max and Nate. This is going to be you one day.”

“I guess so. It is a little boy, right?” She beams as she rubs her growing bump that houses her baby right now.

Lucas and I look at each other, both with bulging eyes to indicate for the other to bring up the topic. My bulging eyes win, and Lucas clears his throat.

He lets his hand glide through his hair. “So… it’s nice to have the whole gang here and all. Guess we’re just missing Leo who is somewhere in the Amazon, I’m sure.”

Jess looks up from the water bottle that she’s playing with to Lucas and me. “Is he? I thought we haven’t heard where the messiah is lying down for a tan,” she snipes.

“No, we haven’t heard from him,” Lucas comments.

She looks between all of us then straightens her posture. “Well, think I’ll go see the birthday boy.” Jess gives us a weakened smile and then heads off through the kitchen doors to the backyard.

Lucas turns me around to pull me close.

“Something tells me that she’ll be feisty when it comes to the labor,” I tell him with a laugh.

The back of his hand caresses my cheek. “It is amazing that you’re being her birthing partner. You will love it. A birth of a baby is a special experience. I still sometimes replay Theo’s birth in my head,” Lucas admits with a special look only reserved for his son.

It touches me in corners of my heart that I think are yet to be discovered.

“Lucas… are you sure you’re okay with only having Theo?” I have to ask yet again. I don’t want to break his heart if I never change my mind.

He moves so his head is lower, and our eyes align. “Hey. I’m okay.” His look is confident. “I just want you, that’s all that matters. Everything else would be a bonus.”

Our moment is interrupted by the sounds of Sofia in the doorway.

“Bonjour, children, I’m here,” she chimes. Her appearance is like she is lounging in the Riviera.

Lucas and I give each other the look that we know the next hour is going to be entertaining.

And it is.

Lucas is busy at the BBQ, while Jake, Nate, Max, and I sit on lounge chairs and talk as we watch Jess play in the pool with Theo, and Romeo is swimming. A few other neighborhood kids are swimming in the pool too.

“This place turned out really good, Lucas,” Jake admires the backyard as he looks around.

“Thanks. But aren’t you going to design your new house?” Lucas replies.

Jake nods as he takes a sip of beer. “True. Jess and Max found me a nice piece of land and the architects are working on the designs. I guess it’ll be awhile before the house is ready, though.”
