Author: Seven Rue

As much as I love being back with Mama for a while, I surely didn’t miss the cars driving past our house, and the neighbor’s dogs barking early in the morning.

I rubbed my eyes as I remembered the dream I had.

I was alone, walking through the forest and watching a fox play in the snow, then it disappeared, leaving me on my own but not feeling lost or lonely.

It’s where I belonged, and I knew that in my dreams as well.

Maybe it was the fact that Fennec and I were sleeping in separate rooms again that he didn’t appear in my dreams, but after last night, before Mama and Papa came back home, we had enough time together to enjoy each other’s company.

The movie was the only thing he shouldn’t have put me through, but I was good at pushing certain thoughts out of my mind.

Those scenes would soon be forgotten.

I looked around my bedroom to take in everything I hung up on the walls.

It all reminded me of the forest, minus the cold.

But as safe as I felt in here, it’s not where I wanted to be.

A knock made me get up from the bed, and when I reached the door and opened it, Mama was standing outside my room.

“You’re awake. I’m making breakfast. Would you like eggs?”

“Sunny-side up?” I requested, and she nodded.

“Of course. How was your night? You and Fen ate quite a lot of snacks, huh?”

I smiled at her. “Yes, we did. How was your night with Papa?”

“It was wonderful. I missed him a lot, but I want to spend time with you and Fennec too. We’ll play board games later, and we can also bake Christmas cookies. How does that sound?”

“Fun! I’ll go take a shower and then help you in the kitchen, okay?”

She smiled back and nodded, and before leaving to head back into the kitchen, she placed a hand on my cheek gently.

“I’m happy all three of you are here for the holiday.”

I knew she was, but there was no doubt she enjoyed time on her own as well.

Mama was a wild child, but that part of her only showed when we were gone.

When I stepped into the bathroom, I already felt my panties weren’t as dry as they usually were, and when I pulled them down, there was a red spot on them.

“How has one month passed already?” I asked myself quietly, then got undressed to get into the shower.

I heard voices coming from the kitchen on the other side of the wall, so I hurried to not miss out on any conversations.

Once I was dressed, I walked out and headed straight to the kitchen to find Fennec standing in his boxers next to Mama, cutting up some cheese and fruit.

Papa was sitting at the table already, and he was the first one to see me.

“Morning, sweetheart. Sleep well?” he asked.

“I did. You? Did you miss the bed?” I teased.

“A little bit. I’m happy with my cabin though.”

I laughed softly and moved my gaze to Fennec who was watching me closely.

“Good morning,” I said, smiling at him and feeling my cheeks heat up.

“Morning, sweet girl. Mama asked if we’d go to the grocery store after breakfast to get some things. Coming with me?”

“What do we need?”

“I made a list. It’s right over there. You can take the wagon to put the groceries in,” Mama suggested.

I grabbed the list she had placed on the microwave and looked over it to see if there was anything I wanted to add.

There were things I’d probably see at the store which I wanted to taste again after almost half a year in the forest.

“Beef jerky? Did Papa put that on the list?” I grinned at him.

“Need it to survive,” he replied with a shrug.

“Couldn’t agree more,” Fennec added.

“You three are soon gonna get sick from eating so much meat all the time. I’ll let you take pasta and cans of tomatoes to camp. At least you’ll have some kind of change for a while.”

Neither of us said anything to stop Mama from giving us food, because she wouldn’t let us.

“Papa is happier,” I pointed out as we walked down the street to get to the grocery store.

Fennec was pulling the empty wagon while I tried not to slip and fall on the icy pavement.

“Of course he is. He’s back with his high school sweetheart. Who wouldn’t be happy about that?”

He had a point.

“You didn’t have one. Why? I mean…why did you never have a girlfriend? Or dated anyone?”

“I told you this before. None of them were enough for me.”

I smiled. “None of them would’ve come to live with you in the wilderness.”

“None of them were you.” His eyes met mine for a second, and his words made my chest warm more than my coat did.

For some reason, it was colder here in Fairbanks than up in the mountains.

“I wish you’d have slept in my bed last night. I missed you next to me,” he confessed, making my smile grow wider than it already was.

“I missed you too. But maybe it’s best if we stay in separate rooms until we get back.”

“Why? We sleep in the treehouse together. It’s nothing new. Besides…I can’t touch your sweet pussy and let you suck my dick when we’re in separate rooms.”

I pressed my lips into a tight line and looked around to ensure no one was listening, but even if they were, I didn’t think Fennec would’ve cared.

He didn’t even seem worried about others seeing us holding hands like we did last night when we walked home from the diner.

“I’m on my period again,” I confessed, finding it appropriate to let him know and wishing he’d give my pussy the same attention as in that dream I had.

“Remember how I told you about you making me come while I was on my period?” I asked.

We were already crossing the store’s parking lot, and when we got closer to the entrance, he stopped and pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his coat.

“I remember,” he said, and I watched as he lit one cigarette while keeping his eyes on mine.

“Where did you get those from?”

“My room. Had them hidden and thought I’d smoke them since I paid for them,” he said with a shrug. “Continue. You were telling me something.”

“Yes, well…while you were making me come with your tongue, you had blood all over your mouth and cheeks. You smeared my blood on your cheeks on purpose. You looked like a football player.”

He laughed. “Sounds like something I’d do. Maybe I’ll make your dream become reality,” he offered, and I nodded enthusiastically.

We were standing a few feet away from the entrance, Fennec leaned against the wall with the wagon next to him and me standing in front of him.

I had pushed my hands into my pockets, but they wouldn’t stay in there for long.

“Come here,” he ordered, blowing out the smoke.

I stepped closer.

“Put your hands into my pockets. They have fur in them. Keeps your hands warmer,” he told me.

I didn’t doubt that, but I could’ve also just put on my gloves.

Pulling my hands out of my pockets, I slipped them into his and smiled up at him as he took another drag.

“Put your hand on my dick,” he instructed, making me frown.
