Devil's Ride : A Dark MC Boxset(129)
Author: E.C. Land

“It’s over,” Stoney says, calmly as I start to come back to myself. “Why don’t you go see Tinsley and Cody? We’ve got this.”

I nod at the suggestion. That’s exactly what I need right now. My woman and kid, but first I need a shower. Tinsley doesn’t need to see me covered in blood, and I sure as fuck don’t want to see the horror in her eyes at the sight.

Making my way to the clubhouse, I detour to the back of the clubhouse where the ring is along with an extra bathroom. Turning the shower on, I make quick work of cleaning myself. Not wanting to waste a moment.

Soon as the water runs clear again, I shut the water off and grab a towel wrapping it around me. I grab my cut and leave the rest for later.

Stalking through the clubhouse, I ignore the eyes of the women sitting around and make my way to my room. I’d asked Tinsley to stay in the room with Cody until I said otherwise for my peace of mind. I’d heard the stories of what happened to some of my other brothers. I didn’t want to have to worry about something happening to her.

Opening the door to my room, my mind clears at seeing my woman lying on the bed, Cody lying in the crook of her arm as she sang to him. Tinsley’s gaze lifts to mine when she notices me closing the door. One of her brows lifts in question and I shake my head. Dropping the towel, I grab a pair sweats and pull them up.

I climb onto the bed, placing a kiss to the top of Cody’s head, I lean over him to kiss Tinsley. “It’s over.” I murmur when I pull back. Her eyes widen at the knowledge before she nods and leans toward me again.

“I love you, Coyote,” she whispers against my lips. “Thank you for making me feel safe for the first time in a really long time.”

“Luce Mia, I love you too. You don’t have to thank me for doing something I’ll be sure to do for the rest of my life. You tame what’s inside me, baby, and I look forward to what’s to come,” I whisper, nipping at her lips.

“Hmm, taming Coyote. I like it, maybe we can put Cody in his playpen and you can show me more on how to tame the beast.”

Grinning, I get up off the bed and scoop my son into my arms and gently put him down where he sleeps when here. “Sorry, buddy, but Daddy and Mommy are going to play.” I whisper.

Turning back to Tinsley, I give her a devilish grin. “You ready for the beast, baby,” I ask.

“More than ready,” she giggles as she sits up and removes her shirt.

Seeing the bra that matched the underwear I’d seen earlier is all it takes, and I pounce on her like the prey of a predator. Only instead of making her a meal for one night, I intend to feast on her every night for the rest of my life.

She’s the other half of my soul and I’ll do anything to protect her. She may have tamed what’s within, but that doesn’t mean it won’t come out to take care of those who threaten.

I’ll forever be grateful to Milley for sending her to me. I hate that she had to die, but the beast made sure to seek its vengeance for her and I’ll do everything in my power to make sure our son knows who she was and the sacrifice she made for him. And for the woman Milley chose to take her place.

Tinsley

1 year later

Glancing around the room, my heart is filled with joy seeing Cody scooting across the floor playing with one of his toy motorcycles that one of Coyote’s brothers gave him. I never thought I’d have this kind of happiness in my life. And for that I have Milley to thank.

If not for her and her greatest sacrifice, I would not have met Coyote nor have the chance to be this little boy’s mom. I made myself a promise though, that I’d always tell Cody about who his mom was and between Rachel and I we’d make sure he knew what she was like.

Granted I didn’t know her well, I was there for her in the end when I saw the conflict in her. Milley hadn’t wanted to leave her son. I don’t blame her, but she’d done it out of the pure love in her heart.

“Luce Mia, what are you doing up?” Coyote demands from the mouth of the hallway.

Meeting his gaze, I smile at him. “I’m allowed to be up and moving around,” I say, lifting a hand to run my fingers through my short hair.

“I know that, but it doesn’t mean you should be. I mean hell, you’re close to popping,” he states as he moves across the room. Since the day we’d found out I was pregnant he’s been there every step of the way. It’s kinda of annoying yet sweet at the same time. But there’s a limit to what he can and cannot do for me. Such as holding my damn drink for me when I’m more than capable of doing it myself.

Staring at him as he walks my way, I can’t help but become aroused, but unfortunately for me he won’t do anything. ‘Not ‘til after the baby is born.’ His words when I’d hit the eighth month. Evidently, he’s got it in his head that he’ll end up giving the baby a black eye or something. Didn’t matter if I told him differently.

“Coyote, I’m fine. I don’t need to lay down and I don’t want to unless it happens to be where you’re in bed with me. Maybe your dick inside me,” I giggle.

“Not happenin’, baby, I’m not about to give Chase a black eye,” he mutters but I see the way he adjusts his dick behind his fitted jeans.

The day we’d found out we were having a boy, Coyote immediately called him Chase. I knew why he’d picked the name and tears filled my eyes instantly. Chase and Cody. Two peas in a pod. Brothers who will be there for each other the way he and his best friend should have been.

Though we did talk to Izzy about it and made sure it was okay. We didn’t want to upset her. She’d been ecstatic about us naming our son after her brother.

Since our initial meeting of each other, Izzy and I have become close. I’d shared my past with her, and she’d shared hers, seeing we both had horrific pasts brought us closer. Now we’re inseparable when we have get-togethers. I’ve even become close to her friends. Kenny is hilarious and so are the others.

“Whatever, I keep telling you it’s impossible for you to do, but you won’t listen to me,” I murmur.

“You don’t know that for a fact, Tinsley,” He grumbles as he makes it to me. Glancing down at Cody playing on the floor in front of me, he smirks at his son then turns his attention back to me. Coyote braces his arms on either side of me, he leans forward and captures my mouth in a soul capturing kiss. It happens every time he kisses me.

When he breaks the kiss, I whimper in need wanting him to continue kissing me. It’s like the world freezes around me when we’re touching.

“So, Luce Mia, what’s it feel like?” he asks, sitting down next to me.

“What do you mean?” I retort, not understanding what he means by what’s it feel like.

“I’m asking what’s it feel like knowing you’re the one to tame the beast within?” he grins.

Sucking in a breath, tears fill my eyes as his words hit me. “It feels damn good, Cody.”

“Good, so that means you’ll continue doing it for the rest of our lives,” he announces as he grabs hold of my hand and places a ring on my finger.

Oh shit.
