Strong, Silent Cowboy (Moving Violations #2)(36)
Author: Lora Leigh

“Ah, baby, it’s so fucking good.” His tone was grating as he held her thighs apart, his gaze locked on the impalement of her body. “So fucking hot.” A grimace pulled at his expression and he pushed deeper, his shaft working deeper inside her. “God. Damn. Sallie, baby…” The harsh, graveled tone was followed by a short, sharp thrust that had her lifting closer with a shattered cry.

She’d never imagined so much pleasure before Jacob. Never known it could lay waste to her control in such a way.

Her head thrashed against the counter as sensation raced through her body, from nerve ending to nerve ending, like wicked bolts of inner lightning she had no hope of escaping.

“That’s it, sweetheart,” he crooned as her hips moved, fighting to push him deeper, harder inside her. “Take me. Work that sweet pussy on me just like that. Ah God, Sallie…”

A hard, driving thrust buried him those final inches inside her. He filled her, overfilled her, the sensations dragging a breathless scream from her as her hands tightened on his arms, feeling the muscles bunch and flex beneath her palms.

“Sweet heaven, Sallie,” he groaned as he came over her, his lips moving to her neck, stroking the sensitive flesh as his hips bunched, his muscles tightening as he pulled back, dragging the flared head of his cock over tender, nerve-rich tissue. “So fucking sweet and tight … Fucking you is better than a dream…”

Heat surged through her, lashed at her. The erotic words sinking inside her senses and pushing her higher as more of her juices spilled to lubricate his way. Her inner muscles clenched around the retreat, hips arching to hold him inside her.

“Jacob, please…” she whimpered, she begged. “Oh God, please. It’s not enough. Not enough…”

His groan sounded torn from his throat, ragged and in the next second he pushed inside her harder, faster, burying several inches. He didn’t stop. Each fierce impalement took him deeper, possessed her senses, as well as the emotions she’d kept locked inside her for so many years.

His touch, his lips at her neck, hungry kisses, stinging little nips that she knew would mark her skin later, and she didn’t care. She loved carrying his marks, loved knowing he lost himself to the pleasure just as much as she did.

Her nails bit into his scalp, moved to his shoulders, and she fought to memorize every second of the incredible pleasure he was giving her. She wanted each moment branded into her brain, as vivid as it was now, to take out and remind herself that if only for a brief time, once all this was over, Jacob held her.

She was lost in the almost painful ecstasy surging through her. Agony and ecstasy, a mix of pleasure and pain so extreme she had no idea how to process it.

As he thrust into her, pushing her deeper into the sensations amassing inside her, she fought just to hold on to enough of herself to survive with just a piece of her heart intact. The pleasure was that extreme, that intense. She wanted it to last forever. To never lose it.

To never lose him.

Holding tight to him, she lifted her lashes and stared up at him, caught immediately by the savage hunger in his gaze. His eyes held her, locked her to him. Her breathing became harder, tighter, and she swore she felt a part of her open to him as her orgasm caught her so unaware that she had no time to prepare herself for it.

Ecstasy slammed inside her. Her eyes widened, a whimper passing her lips as Jacob’s eyes narrowed and his thrusts increased, pushing her over that final edge and sending her flying.

The explosions of pleasure were cataclysmic, rapturous. Destructive. They tore through her mind, through her heart, and she feared they just might have laid waste to defenses she might have maintained against him, before this moment.

With a final, desperate thrust Jacob buried inside her a final time, his harsh groan vibrating around her. His hips pushed against her in several minute, hard jerks as she felt his shaft throb, pulse, his release pulling a hard grimace to his face before his eyes drifted closed.

Sallie collapsed beneath him, a final shudder working through her body before she felt the last of her strength ease from her limbs.

And she wondered if she could ever survive once she recovered and if there was any way she could ever be the same again?

chapter thirteen

Jacob gave Sallie enough time to catch her breath before easing his cock from the fist-tight grip her pussy had on him. He wasn’t nearly satisfied yet, but hell, he didn’t think he’d ever have enough of her. She was fiery, explosive in his arms, and kept him on his toes. That sharp little mind of hers took in too much, and pieced things together far too fast.

Adjusting his jeans and zipping them, he helped her from the counter and watched somberly as she rushed to find her clothes and dress. She didn’t say anything, but he glimpsed the shaking of her fingers and her desperate attempt to control her breathing.

Yeah, he’d taken her like an animal, and he knew it. But she did that to him. It was the reason he’d rushed from her bed before, desperate to keep his control around him long enough to keep from scaring her off.

Breathing out heavily, he dressed as well, knowing now wasn’t the time to rush her to his bedroom for seconds and further destroy both their senses. The information Justice had brought him earlier needed dealing with and as the other man had warned him, that information could threaten more than Sallie’s life. It could threaten any hold he had on her at the moment. She was too determined to run again, to try to hide, no matter the danger. And he was just as determined to keep it from happening. She’d run too long, too hard, it was time to stop.

The past six years had built a wariness in her, an anger he couldn’t even blame her for. She had believed he’d simply walked away from the fragile trust and innocence she’d given him that weekend in Switzerland. She’d returned to the States, married, and watched another man walk out of her life with no explanations. Then her life had been filled with nothing but the fight for survival while some bastard played with her. And they had been playing with her.

She had no reason to trust him now, no reason to stay with him once this was over and he couldn’t even blame her if she did intend to walk away from him.

Once they were both dressed, he stood at the end of the counter and watched as she brushed her hair back from her face, her pretty pale blue eyes watching him uncertainly.

She looked so delicate, so damned fragile standing there that the rage he’d fought since she’d been attacked reared its ugly head once again.

Six years ago, he’d marked her as his and then again, the night he’d left the bar with her. During the years without her, Jacob had known he’d lost something important at some time, something that had changed him, left him lost, searching. That search had ended when Sallie had come to Deer Haven, and by God, he wasn’t going to let anyone take her from him again.

And he damned sure wasn’t letting her run again.

“John was supposed to find you and let you know I was coming back for you if anything happened,” he told her when she started to turn away from him.

She froze for a moment then turned back to him slowly, gripping her hands together in front of her. She was tense, defensive, and in her eyes, he could see the vulnerable emotions she tried so hard to keep concealed from the world.

Jacob felt his chest tighten at the flash of pain she tried to hide. It was there, shadowing her face and darkening the blue of her eyes. She’d lived with the loss of what they’d found together, and she’d dealt with it. He didn’t think he’d have dealt with it nearly so well.
