Work Me Good(100)
Author: Ali Parker

“God, I like this so much better,” he whispered.

I offered a lazy smile. I was still craving him, but I liked the slowdown. “I have to say the bed is certainly a lot nicer than your desk. Or my desk.”

“Or the floor.”

I laughed. “You’re going to spoil me.”

“That’s just a little wrong,” he groaned. “I should have done better.”

“You’ve done just fine.”

“I’m going to do better,” he said and kissed me again. The intensity of the kiss rekindled that fire that had been burning bright a moment earlier.

He rose over me, supporting his body weight on his arms before pushing slowly inside me. I closed my eyes and relished in the moment. He didn’t move for several seconds. I felt him shudder. I opened my eyes and looked up at him. His clenched jaw and heavy-lidded eyes told me just how hard he was fighting the ecstasy. I felt it too.

I slid my hands up his arms. I squeezed the biceps that were both covered with tats. I was vaguely familiar with his tattoos. The one on his left arm had been there when we were together all those years ago. He’d added to his artwork.

“It feels so good inside you,” he breathed.

I rubbed his bare shoulders and then down his back. “I like when you’re inside me.”

“This is something I want again,” he said in a harsh voice. “You have to let me do this again.”

“Absolutely. Yes.”

“Baby, remember what I told you?” he said in a harsh voice.

“I do,” I gasped when he thrust.

“Get ready,” he groaned. “I can’t stop.”

“Don’t stop.”

He thrust again. I groaned and arched, taking him deeper inside me. “Do it again.”

I dug my heels into the bed and pushed up. We both let out a grunt. Then it became a fight to see who could thrust the hardest. When we finally reached the height of our ecstasy, the explosion between us was earthshattering. My nails dug into his back as I pulled him against me.

He collapsed on me, his full body weight smashing me against the mattress. I wrapped my arms around him and held him close. “I’m suffocating you,” he said and tried to pull away.

“Not yet.”

He kissed my forehead and then slid to the side just a little. I dragged in a deep breath. “Does the clock start now?”

He chuckled. “I might have to up it to ten minutes,” he said. “You wrung me dry with that one.”

“I doubt that.”

“You’re insatiable.”

“I can’t help it. You made promises.”

“I will fulfill those promises and then some,” he said and rolled to his back. He dragged me into his arms.

I rested my head against his chest and took a moment to enjoy the intimacy of the moment. A million thoughts ran through my head. “Do you think you’ll ever have a relationship with your father?” I asked him.

“No, why?”

“How long has it been since you talked to him?”

I felt him stiffen. “Not long enough.”

“Do you know where he is?” I questioned.

“I don’t care,” he snapped.

“Do you think you could get some closure if you reached out?”

He took a deep breath. My head rose and fell as he released the breath. “Saige, I’m lying in bed naked with a woman. I’m basking in the aftermath of a pretty good orgasm. The last thing I want to talk about is my father. Can you drop it?”

I patted his chest. “I’m sorry. I won’t push it. I hate to see you carrying around the burden.”

“It’s not a burden. He doesn’t matter to me. He walked out of my life a long time ago. I’m not going to think about it. He doesn’t deserve my time or energy. Now, I’m done talking about it.”

I pushed him too far. I had no business meddling. I rubbed his chest. “Okay. I don’t want to push it. Do you mind if we take a little nap before we start round two?”

“I’m way ahead of you,” he murmured. “Thirty minutes.”

I smiled but didn’t point out he said ten minutes earlier. We had worked extra hard. I didn’t mind snuggling with him. It was a nice change to quickies in the office. But I couldn’t get used to it. I didn’t want him to break my heart again.

This was nothing more than a little hot sex with no strings attached.

Chapter 64

Nash

I walked her to the door. “Are you sure you guys don’t want to hang out?” I asked Saige.

“I wish I could,” she said. “I have to take Jace to his competition thing for the STEM program he’s in.”

I nodded. I couldn’t ask them to give up something important to hang out with an old guy like me. “Tell him good luck for me.”

“I will. Enjoy your Saturday. Don’t work. Just kick back and relax. Go swimming in that fabulous pool.”

I smiled. “I might do that.”

“I’m serious. Anything to do with business or money can wait until Monday. You can take a day. Besides, I think you might need to recover.”

I laughed. “I might take a nap. What about you?”

“What about me?”

“Are you going to take a nap?” I asked.

She threw her head back and laughed. “I’m a mom. I don’t nap.”

She left and I was once again alone. It was nice having a sleepover. If she wasn’t careful, I was going to get used to it and want it again. Now I had to figure out what to do with myself. I was so bored. My life felt empty. What the hell was I doing? I needed to get a hobby. A real hobby. Maybe I needed to think about dating seriously. But if I did date, I couldn’t have Saige. I didn’t think she would want to date me. Not after she brought up the past. I hurt her back then. I knew I did but to hear her say it made it all the more real.

That afternoon, Davin called and invited me out for drinks. How could I say no to that? It was the best and only option I had. The day dragged on. I felt like I was counting down the minutes to go to the bar. I really needed to get a life.

I got to the bar early because I couldn’t wait to get out of my house. Davin arrived about fifteen minutes after I did. “This is a first,” he said.

“What?”

“You beating me anywhere. I’m always waiting on you. You are always running late because you are trying to make another million or two.”

“Not today,” I said and sipped my drink. “I think I’m leaning toward the idea of changing some things in my life.”

“What does that mean?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know. I’m in a weird place. Things are strange in my life.”

“How so?”

“Saige stayed the night.”

His brows shot up. “You let someone stay the night at your house?”

“Yes.”

“Wow. That is serious.”

“I’m not sure it is,” I said. “I don’t know what it is. Things are weird.”

“How so?” he asked.

“I took her to my childhood home,” I said.
