I had the concept of this story hit me in my first year in publishing and it feels good to finally tell this story. Or… some of it. I can’t wait to write (and for you to read) the rest!
It wasn’t until I got into it that I realized it was going to be a duet. And I had no freaking clue how much I would love these two and how big their story would get.
I mean, I absolutely adore every couple I write, so to have this feeling again is a gift. I hope I always feel this way. That’s my goal, to fall in love with the couples I write so that they can bring you a few hours of reading enjoyment.
And boy, do I love these two…
Violet, trying so hard to be strong after feeling weak for so long.
Killian, wanting to protect her and right some wrongs while transforming Violet’s life from a nightmare to a dream… and getting caught up in his own darkness along the way.
How far, how dark would you go for revenge?
And would you forgive someone for lying to you when they believe they did it to protect you? To avenge you?

In Memoriam
Sending love into the universe for dearly departed Chickadees Wendi Hales Rhodes and Tammy Barrentine who both passed while I was writing this book. You’re both missed by the book community already. Thank you for the love.
And sending love, butterflies, and hugs into the universe for my little almost-cousin MM who tragically took her own life just days before I hit publish on this book. I’m so, so fucking sorry that life became so filled with pain and darkness for you that you couldn’t see the light anymore. We will miss you. Please hug Auntie B and Auntie M for us.
