Tangled Sheets(469)
Author: J.L. Beck

“This isn’t my fault.” I feigned innocence. “Also, you may have just caused someone to need nasal reconstructive surgery.”

Cole didn’t respond to me and grabbed my elbow to pull me past the bar instead. “Vin, Drake, hold down the fort. Zoey and I are going in back.”

He slammed his hand into the swinging metal door and we walked down the hall to his office.

The light flickered on, and there sat the desk I wanted to jump onto. The small glowing light casted a shadow on Cole, and I noticed he was bleeding from the corner of his left eye, where he must have caught a rebound punch.

The blood made him cross just over the edge of dangerous, right where I knew I wanted to explore. And how could I resist when the man stood there looking like a Viking in the midst of a battle? Cheeks hollowing in and out as he worked to catch his breath, blood dripping from his face, and veins cording his bulging forearms and biceps.

“You need to stop wearing shit like those shorts here,” he growled.

“The guy was a perv. My shorts are fine.”

“They barely cover your ass,” he yelled, not appreciating my dismissal.

“Excuse me. My ass is completely covered.”

His laugh didn’t come from a place of happiness. It was low, dark, and lethal. He stalked toward me. “Prove it.”

My pussy clenched at his words, at his proximity, at his lips so close to mine. Cole was daring me to climb over that edge into uncharted territory with him.

I turned around and let him assess my full ensemble. My white tank displayed my black bra too. I was so proud of it at that moment because as I glanced over my shoulder, I saw him lick his lips. I pushed a strand of hair out of my line of vision to catch his eye. I started to bend slowly at the waist.

Cole’s calloused hands went right to my hips, and he squeezed to stop my motion. “I see your ass already.” I rolled my eyes, ready to tell him off. His thumbs slid up past my waistband and dipped under my white tank to push into my flesh. “Oh, no, baby. You’re not stopping. Keep bending, Zoey, I want to see how much of that ass you’re willing to show.”

I spun around and unbuttoned my shorts. “I’m willing to show all of it if you’ll show me yours.”

He shook his head. “We’re not doing this here.”

I dropped the shorts and the fishnets and stood there in my heels and a thong with the Heathen’s top still tied up with the words scrawled across my chest. “We’re doing it here, Cole. I’m clean, are you?”

“Of course I’m clean, but that’s beside the point.”

“Is the point that I’m yours? If so, you better lay claim to me.”

His jaw hardened, and I knew he was grinding his teeth as he stared me down. I wasn’t going to let him hold back anymore. He didn’t need to save me from himself.

“Once a heathen, always a heathen. Show me then. Let me have my taste of top-shelf whiskey. I’m ready for it. Show me how rough you really get.”

He growled before he stalked toward me. “You keep pushing us to that edge, woman.”

“Just where I like us to be.”

He grabbed the back of my head and pulled me toward him to devour my mouth. I met him as aggressively as he met me, my tongue warring with his. I jumped up and wrapped my legs around him so that he could walk me back and set my ass on the desk.

“You better get rid of your jeans,” I commanded as I yanked his T-shirt off and ran my hands down his abs.

He turned my face up to meet his hazel eyes. “I want you however you want me, more than you’ll ever want me, probably, but I want to do this right.”

“Here is right, Cole. Here is where I’m me. Here is my safe place with you between my legs.”

He searched my face for a lie and didn’t find one as he dropped his head down to kiss my neck. I moaned and arched into him.

“This time, it’ll be me you’re fucking on your desk.” I moved my panties to the side and unbuckled his pants to pull out his cock.

He was hard, solid, pulsing in my grip. He hovered over me, and I nodded, waiting for him to take the step. “This time and every single time after, Bug.”

When he thrust into me, he didn’t disappoint. He didn’t hold back, and he didn’t wait to see if I was okay. He let the heathen take over, and I screamed in ecstasy.

This was what I needed, what I wanted. My body had yearned for someone just like him, someone who would make me feel protected and safe but would ravish me to the edge of sanity.

“This is where I want to be always,” I moaned and fell back on the desk, writhing under him as he rode me harder and harder.

“The ladybug chooses to become a heathen,” he whispered as he stared at me under him. “I’m going to be even more obsessed with you now.”

I clung to him as he rode me faster and cried out when his hand went to my clit to rub the same rhythm. I orgasmed like I was releasing every part of me in that room and having a damn existential experience. I morphed in those seconds in that office back into who I wanted to be.

He pounded a fist on the desk as he pumped into me and came hard, falling over me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered, “Yeah, I’m ruined for anyone else. Whiskey’s my drink.”
