Deliver Us From Evil (Deliver Us From Evil #3)(31)
Author: Monica James

“Grand.” Before she can ask why, I grip the collar and tear it into two.

I want to be gentle as she is injured, but I don’t know if that’s possible with the frenzied state we’re both in. Or if this will last as long as I’d like it to. Just her scent alone has me threatening to come.

With a grin, she removes the now ruined garment before reaching around to unsnap her bra. The moment her breasts are free, I lower my head and suckle her nipples as she straddles me. They melt on my tongue.

She frantically fumbles with the button on my jeans, moaning as I take her breast into my mouth. We are losing control, but I’ve never felt more alive than I do right now. Lifting my hips, I tug down my jeans. I’m already hard, and she’s oh-so wet—the perfect combination. I lift her, only to slam her back down onto my cock.

“Fuck,” I curse, almost losing my shit right here and now.

She doesn’t move. She just sits still, clenching her muscles around my shaft.

“You keep doin’ that, and this will be over before it even begins.”

Her cheeky smirk reveals she doesn’t seem to mind.

She begins to move, the slide of her hips a spectacular torture I never want to end. She fucks me long and hard, taking and giving pleasure all in the same breath. Knowing this is forever has me gripping her hips, coaxing her to ride me until we’re both spent.

“I love you!” she cries, bouncing frantically on my cock.

I would speak, but the air is robbed from me when she reaches down and begins to play with herself. This openness between us is something I can only ever do with her. Our walls have been shattered, and I refuse for them to ever be erected again.

She rocks against me while rubbing over her clit, and the sight has me letting go. I come hard, a winded breath leaving me as I pump my hips, coming inside of Babydoll. I don’t even have the strength to pull out, but when she whimpers and follows suit, I know she doesn’t mind.

The moment she’s spent, she slumps forward, and I take her with me as I lower my back onto the mattress.

We’re breathless and sticky. Her heart pounds against mine. This moment is utter perfection and to know we have a lifetime ahead of us has me leaning up and kissing her lips softly.

She moans, kissing me back languidly.

I’m worried about her arm, so I gently pull out, missing her heat instantly. She rolls off me and settles against the pillows while I gather the strength to get up and find the bathroom to get her cleaned up.

“No,” she says, gripping my bicep. “I just want to lie here with you—sticky and sated.”

She’ll get no complaints from me.

Tucking her into me, we snuggle closely, basking in the afterglow. Exhaustion tackles me, and for once in my life, I’m willing to surrender because I’ll deal with everything tomorrow.

“What happens now?” she whispers, drawing patterns on my chest with her fingertip.

“It’s time I organized a meeting with someone who can help end this.”

“And what does he want in return?”

She can guess but wants to hear it from my mouth.

“He wants Belfast, and ye know what, he can have it.”

Her silence has me worried she’s not fond of the idea.

“Do you think you can do that? Do you think after everything, you’re ready to give it all away?”

Cian’s anger crashes into me as he doesn’t think I should.

“I have everythin’ I want right here,” I affirm, bringing her closer into me.

She doesn’t reply, and I know that’s because she agrees with Cian. They both seem to think handing over my legacy isn’t what I should do. But if I don’t do that, we will just be back at square one.

I need someone bigger than this to help me, and if his terms are taking my kingdom in exchange for destroying the men who betrayed me, then that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

Belfast needs to be purged, expunged of the filth so she can be reborn.

As Cami and I succumb to sleep, a small voice whispers that doing that may be easier said than done.

I hate meetings—I especially hate meetings with men I’ve never met before. But to get what I want, I need to put my faith in a stranger.

If Austin is lying to me and this is another trap, I’ve come prepared.

“All right,” I say to Ron as I conceal my gun into the small of my back. “Ya stay out here unless ye hear trouble. And in that case, you come in, and shoot first, ask questions later.”

Ron nods firmly.

He has the pub, Lucky Leaf, where Austin organized for us to meet, surrounded. But we’ve come to learn that no matter how prepared we are, things can change in the blink of an eye…which is why Cami is here.

Bad things happen when we’re apart, and as much as I don’t want to put her in harm’s way, being by my side is the safest place to be. Besides, this is as much her fight as it is mine.

Cian isn’t here. I sent him a text with the details, but when I didn’t get a reply, I figured he’d finally had enough. I know he sees this as surrendering, as me shitting on the memories of our fathers, but it’s because of them that I’ve chosen to do this.

I won’t end up in a hole in the ground beside them because that’s where I’m headed if I don’t give this life away. But a small part of me, one that hasn’t kept quiet since I agreed to meet with Austin and Aleksei, has continued to nag me—can I give this life up?

Taking Cami’s hand and walking toward Lucky Leaf, I will soon find out.

Cami and I are quiet, unsure what we’re walking into. But knowing she’s with me, that she’s safe, I can handle anything.

The place is jammers, which is why Austin chose it, no doubt. He wants things to appear casual, but experience has proven that witnesses or not, it makes no difference to me. If someone pisses me off or does wrong by my girl or me, I will kill them all.

The owners have changed since the last time I was here. Ron said they’re on our side. We will see.

Drunken eejits shout at their mates, not aware of how loud they are, thanks to the many pints they’ve had—how nice it must be to live a simple life. The atmosphere is light, which puts me at ease. But I don’t let my guard down, and neither does Babydoll as she nestles closer into me.

The last time she was in a pub, she was almost blown to smithereens. The thought has me clenching my jaw. Sean’s death can’t come soon enough.

I make eye contact with Austin, who raises his pint in greeting. The man he’s sitting with has his back turned, but he instantly looks out of place as he is wearing a crisp white shirt. His dark hair is groomed neatly, and I am immediately hit with the air of authority surrounding him.

We walk toward the booth, and when I lock eyes with the man sitting at the table, I subtly draw Cami closer to my side. He is a handsome devil, even for an aul’ fella. He reeks of power and control. He is someone you do not want to fuck with.

He is someone you want on your side.

Cami enters the booth first while I slide in after her, never taking my eyes off Aleksei Popov. However, he surprises me when he bursts into a husky chuckle.

“I like you already, мой друг. You need not worry; she is safe with me. I have my own красавица at home.”
