Badger's Claim (Devil's Riot MC #7)(28)
Author: E.C. Land

Wasn’t my fault he decided to go double or nothing. Let’s just say the man is a sore loser.

However, the argument started after I’d looked across the room to find Nikki, one of the clubwhores, rubbing up on him, and he hadn’t done anything to stop her. Though he didn’t pay any mind to her either, it didn’t matter to me. We’re married and if he’s gonna claim me as his ol’ lady, I’m doing the same to him.

The argument ended up with him apologizing with his head between my legs and me getting two orgasms from his mouth before he fucked me to exhaustion. Though, he did tell me I’m not allowed to play pool against any of his brothers again.

Fine by me. I guess Timber and his brothers would be laughing their asses off knowing they’d taught me well.

My chest aches at the thought of Timber and everyone else. Last time I’d talked to my mom, trying to work out a time to come visit, she’d told me to hold off for a while. Things there weren’t pretty, and it was best with everything going on around me to wait.

Knowing it was best to hold off, I hated it. I’m tired of other people controlling my life. Even not being around me anymore, my dad and Kayne are still controlling me.

Doesn’t matter if I feel an ounce of safety as long as they’re still out there.

“Hey, babe,” Badger calls out as he walks into the clinic, drawing me from my train of thought before it could go down the dark path it was heading.

Glancing up from the screen I’d been blankly staring at, I give him a smile. “What are you doing here so early? You know we don’t close for two more hours.” I ask as I peek around him at the clock above the door.

“Was hoping I could convince my woman to get off early.” Smirking Badger rounds the desk to come sit in the chair next to me. Swirling my own chair to face him, he pulls me as close as he can before planting a kiss to my lips that draws a moan from me.

“Can’t you two ever keep your hands off each other?” Dragon’s deep voice causes me to jump back, almost falling out of my chair. Turning my head in his direction to find him standing on the other side of the desk with one of the twins in his arms.

How is it possible a man Dragon or Gadget’s size is able to sneak up on someone? For that matter, any of these guys.

Ugh, I’ll end up dying of a heart attack one of these days from them walking in here without making a sound.

“What’s up?” I ask as I re-situate myself at my computer.

“Wanted to run something by you before Gadget and I went to Doc. Would you watch the twins and Logan this evening? We haven’t had a chance to take our woman out since Keegan and Kagan were born. Connors needs a night out,” Dragon explains, running his hand soothingly down Keegan’s back.

Wow, this is the first time he or any of them have asked me to babysit. Nervously I rub my hands along the top of my thighs and glance in Badger’s direction to see what he thought. Though he doesn’t say anything, he gives me a reassuring smile and nods his head.

Giving Dragon a smile, I ask, “I’d love to watch them. Would it be okay if I pick them up and bring them to our house?”

“Yeah, that’s fine. Can you pick them up right after work?” Dragon asks.

“Of course.” nodding my head in agreement.

“Thanks, Jordan, I’m gonna go let Doc know then head to the house and help Gadget get everything ready,” Dragon says, readjusting Keegan in his arms he taps the top of the desk then heads toward the back where Connors office is.

“Guess my plans will have to be postponed until later this evening,” Badger murmurs as he leans in close to me.

“What plans were those?” I giggle, my imagination taking hold.

“Honey, you know exactly what my plans were from that blush covering your cheeks,” he says, lifting a hand to my hair, pulling gently on my ponytail.

“I’ll make it up to you later. We’ll have all weekend to enjoy your plans,” I whisper heavily.

“Wish that were true but I gotta head out tomorrow for a run with a few of the others.” Sighing, Badger leans back in his seat.

“That stinks,” I mutter, disappointed not to have him to myself all weekend.

“Yeah, but we’ve got time. I’ll make sure when I get back, I’ll take my time to show you just what I was planning. Tonight, I’ll just give you a sample when the kiddos go back home.” How Badger can get me worked up with just his voice is beyond me. I didn’t even know that was possible, yet he does it to me constantly.

“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” Connors asks as I place the diaper bags into my car while waiting on Gadget and Dragon to bring the twins and Logan out.

“Yeah, I’m looking forward to watching them,” I say honestly. Sure, I’m nervous but way more excited to spend time with my niece and nephews.

“Well, if you need us to come get them, please just call,” Connors says. Glancing at her, she looks like she’s about to have a panic attack.

“Connors, if you’re not ready to have me watch them, it’s okay,” I murmur. Disappointment filling me that she’s getting so worked up at me watching her kids. I know I’m not the best person in the world, but I love these kids as if they were my own. Especially in the last few months of us coming by for family dinner.

“Oh, Jordan, it’s not that at all. I’m just nervous about them being away from me besides when I’m at work. It’s the only time I’ve been away from them for a period of time. Even at the clubhouse during the parties and such, I’m constantly checking on them when they're asleep. Guess you could say I’m still extremely paranoid after what happened with Logan,” she explains her fears.

Her reasons are completely understandable. If I had a child of my own and he or she was kidnapped by a sadistic asshole, I’d be just as nervous if not worse.

“How about I promise to send you constant updates? Would that help set your mind at ease?” I ask her.

“This is why I love you so much.” Smiling, Connors draws me in for a hug.

“Are we interrupting something?” Gadget asks as he comes up to us, holding both car seats. Dragon’s right behind him with Logan in his arms. His eyes focused on what Logan’s signing as he walks. The smile on his face is one I only ever see when his kids or wife says something funny.

“Nope, just wasting time till you slowpokes came out here,” I say jokingly. “You ready to have some fun?” I voice and sign my question to Logan. Even though time’s passed, Logan still has a hard time talking to many people. I’ve found that if I sign and speak at the same time, he feels more comfortable using his own voice.

“Y . . . Ye . . . p I . . . I . . . re . . . a . . . dy . . . Jo . . . Jo . . . ” he says, smiling, calling me the nickname he’d given me at the first family dinner I came to.

“Alright, little man, then let’s get going. I might have convinced Badger to get you your favorite pizza for dinner,” I tell him, gaining a huge smile as he wiggles out of Dragon’s arms and runs to me.

“B . . . be . . . st . . . Jo . . . Jo . . . ev . . . er . . . ” he yells, wrapping his arms around me.

My heart soars at his excitement. I’ll do anything to keep him so happy.
