Mountain Topped(24)
Author: K.M. Neuhold

“Well, good night then. See you in the morning, Thorne.”

“See you in the morning.”

I shuffle back to Bowen’s room, finding him still asleep and wrapped in blankets. I burrow my way in, pulling his naked flesh next to mine as I wrap my arms around his warm body. He murmurs, bumping his delicious ass into my dick, and as much as I’d love to sink inside him, I can wait. I kiss the back of his head and close my eyes.

“Aldis?” he whispers. “Everything okay?”

“Yeah, baby, everything’s good. I was just getting water. Go back to sleep.”

“Okay.” He snuggles closer and holds my arms to his chest. “I wish Thorne was here too,” he says so softly I almost don’t hear it.

“Me too, baby. We’ll work on that. I want you to have everything you want.”

He twists his head to look at me. “I want you too.”

“I know.”

“But—”

I kiss him to stop his words. “I know, Bow. Don’t worry. It’ll all work out.”

He nods, and his frown relaxes slightly. “Okay.”

“Trust me?”

“I do.”

“Good.” I kiss him again. “Go back to sleep, gorgeous.”

As Bowen nestles back in my arms, my thoughts wander to this weekend. I’m so glad they both agreed. What we’ll get up to is anyone’s guess, but three hot guys, insatiable sex drives, and nature are a damn good start.

BOWEN

The soft knocking on the door pulls me out of my deep sleep. I blink a few times at the sun filling my room. What fucking time is it?

“Come in.”

Hawthorne appears, fully dressed for work. “We going or what?”

“Fuck. What time is it?”

“Seven-thirty. Aldis left about an hour ago. Said you were still sleeping.”

“Damn. I feel like I was drugged.” I stretch and sit up, letting the blankets fall away before realizing I’m still naked. Hawthorne’s eyes immediately shoot to my dick that is making a total nuisance of itself, already hard. “Morning wood.”

“Yeah,” Thorne says, still looking at me with a heated expression. He licks his fucking lips, and I’m two seconds away from crawling across this damn floor and swallowing his cock. “I should let you get dressed.”

“I’ll only be a few minutes.”

“You didn’t, um, you don’t need to, um, last night…” He shakes his head.

“Did we have sex last night?” I help him out, and Thorne offers a curt nod. “Only what I had with you.”

Was that relief I just saw flash across his face?

“I had a good talk with Aldis last night. He was up.”

I nod, watching my best friend.

“Anyway, looking forward to the weekend. I’ll go get our coffee ready.”

“Thanks, man.”

He nods, tearing his eyes away before leaving my room. Fuck. Now my cock is throbbing with need, but I’ll just have to ignore it for now. No time for a quick solo sesh, and as much as I’d love to offer relief to Thorne, I don’t think we’re there yet. Not sure if we will be, but since the hot tub night, I haven’t stopped imagining what it would feel like for him to enter me. Or fuck, what my cock in his mouth would look like. Even better? Aldis’s cock in his mouth. And this is not helping my situation.

I grab a pair of briefs and shove my erection inside before pulling on a pair of jeans. After throwing myself together, I join Thorne in the kitchen, where I grab the travel mug of coffee he made for me.

“I’ll drive,” he offers. “You don’t look awake yet.”

I laugh. “Yeah, I don’t know why I’m so out of it this morning. Guess that was one hell of an orgasm.”

Hawthorne smiles, but it doesn’t make it to his eyes.

“Did I say something wrong?”

“No.” He playfully punches my arm. “Let’s get going. Those trees aren’t going to trim themselves.”

The rest of the week goes by painfully slow. I’m dying to get to the camping trip, but at the same time, I couldn’t be more nervous. I couldn’t catch Aldis this week at the gym while he tried to catch up on some work so he could clear the weekend. Hawthorne and I have been mostly normal, but unless I imagine it or it’s just one-sided, the sexual tension is so thick you can see it.

We’re expecting Aldis any minute now, both of us sitting on the couch next to each other. It feels tense and weird, and I don’t know how to fix it, so I go with honesty.

“You don’t have to do anything, Thorne. You know that, right?”

“Yeah. I know that.”

“Good. I just feel some tension coming off you.”

“It’s not bad tension. It’s anticipation. Don’t you feel that too?”

“I do, but I guess I’m worried about you.”

“Well, don’t. I’m a big boy.” He reaches across and gently pinches my chin. “I know what I’m doing, Bow. It’s all good.”

“Cool.”

“We’re just three bros going on a camping trip. Whatever we get up to is consensual, right?”

I nod, feeling my nerves dissipate a little. “Right.”

He leans in as if he’s going to kiss me, and I panic, but his lips land on my cheek. I don’t know why, but I feel like allowing his kiss will somehow break the spell he’s under. Kissing is so…intimate. You can’t go back from that. Fucking? No problem. Kissing? That’s next-level shit. Although kissing Aldis was easy and immediate. I wanted it. But Aldis isn’t my best friend in the whole world. I won’t lose everything if things go south. Just another broken heart, but I’ve nursed myself back to health plenty of times. I could do it again. Losing Thorne? Not something I’d survive.

“Damn, you’re thinking awfully hard over there.”

I laugh. He knows me so well. “I’m fine.”

“Good.” He grabs my hand, squeezing it. “Let’s stay out of our heads and just enjoy what comes next. Think you can do that?”

I nod, noting how good his hand feels wrapped around mine. “I can do that.”

A few minutes later, there’s a knock at our door. Hawthorne smiles. “Ready?”

“Yep.”

I walk over and open the door, grinning at Aldis. He’s wearing the casual clothes I normally see at the gym—sweatpants, a hoodie, sneakers. He leans in and plants a sweet kiss on my lips before doing some sort of weird bro shake with Thorne. They have a bro shake?

“Hey, man,” Hawthorne says to Aldis. “Ready for this weekend?”

“I’ve been counting down to it.” Aldis winks at me, sending shards of heat through me with just a simple gesture. He rubs his hands together. “I’ve got all the equipment.”

“We’ve got the alcohol, the weed, and our gear,” Hawthorne says.

“Perfect.”

I follow both men out to Aldis’s SUV, filled with near-giddy anticipation. Hawthorne is taking all of this well, so I should take his advice and get out of my head. Go with it. That’s the plan.
