The Raving Love_ An Enemies To Lovers Steamy Contemporary Romance(65)
Author: Emma Vikes

It wasn’t like she rarely said it. She did, sometimes more out of the blue than I did, but every time she did so, my heart would do this little jump and it made me feel like I was this school boy finally getting noticed by his crush. Audrey laughed when I let out an exaggerated gasp and hit me playfully on the chest and I pulled her close to me, kissing the crown of her head.

“You’re going to watch tonight, right?” I asked her and watched as she nodded with her eyes still closed.

“I’ll be in the front row.”

“I’ll tell you I love you on stage. In front of the whole crowd. Via microphone.”

Her eyes opened and she narrowed them at me. “Don’t you dare.”

Audrey and I have gone public and although for a while, everyone judged our relationship, she had learned not to take their opinions and comments to heart. I didn’t really care what people thought about the relationship that I was in but there had been a couple of times that I argued with internet trolls that dissed Audrey for how she looked and called her names. There was no way in hell that I would ever let them do that to her.

“If I ask you to come up on stage, would you?” I whispered because I knew that Audrey was slowly being lulled by sleep. My heart began to beat loudly and for a moment, I wondered if she could feel it. I needed Audrey to come up on stage tonight. There was a question I needed to ask her.

“Take a nap.” I couldn’t help but chuckle at the response but I allowed her to sleep.

Audrey was the one who fell asleep first. I didn’t need to be in the venue until 5PM and the concert started at 7. We’d done our blockings and practiced since we arrived about two days ago and this was the only time we had to take a break because we were in for one hell of a night, like it always was whenever we had a concert in any city.

I could rest right now but rather than sleeping, I used a little bit of my time watching Audrey sleep. I wanted to memorize her features even though I see her often when I come to LA. Since we got together, I’d stayed in LA more than I usually did and lived in her place rather than the house that I rented with the boys because it didn’t make sense to live there alone when the boys went to their hometown and I had a girlfriend with a decent house living in the city.

She came with me to Irving a couple of times too in the span of time that we’d dated and my family absolutely adored how fierce she was and how she managed to tame me. She fit right in with everyone and Max adored her as much as Violet did. Sometimes, it made me feel like my niece and nephew loved her more than they loved me.

But more than anything, in the year that I’d been with her, I was just truly grateful that I was doing this whole relationship thing with her than with anyone else. Audrey was amazing, the epitome of a strong, independent woman who had her world in the palm of her hand. Other guys would feel intimidated by the fact that she was dating a CEO of one of the biggest record companies in the state, but I wouldn’t want her to be anything less. Hell, I was proud of who she was.

Besides, I wasn’t drawn to her power. It made her sexy, I had to give her that. But I was more drawn to who she was at the end of the day. I was drawn to Audrey, the girl who had a lot of spunk in her, my very own spitfire. I wouldn’t want anyone else to tame.

“Julian…Jules,” Audrey was shaking me awake but I groaned and turned. I was too tired and too sleepy especially after the sex that went on between us earlier. I could hear her chuckling and then felt her hand slip under the blanket that was wrapped around me and her hand wrapped on my dick that instantly hardened at her touch.

I could feel her fingers caressing the sensitive organ and I groaned, opening my eyes. Audrey smirked as she removed the blanket and then positioned her lips on my dick, licking the length before swallowing the entire length in her mouth. Her head bobbed up and down and I gripped the sheets, my mind going crazy at the sight of my girlfriend giving me a blow-job hours before I was due on stage to perform.

“Fucking hell,” I whispered and then could feel the tension coil in my stomach, a signal that I was about to climax. I could feel Audrey’s nails gently toying my balls and that was it, I came undone and she was quick enough to pull away and I came on her bare chest. “Damn.”

She climbed out of bed and grabbed a roll of tissue paper in the bathroom and began to wipe herself. “You better start getting ready because I do not want to answer another call from José.”

I chuckled and got up, kissing her on the cheek and taking a quick shower. Audrey had a robe wrapped around herself when I came out and she was on her phone, talking to Amber via FaceTime. I gave Amber a little wave and she wished me luck for the show. There was a knock on the door and when I opened it, José was scowling.

“I’ve been waiting for you for almost an hour. We’re late!”

I pointed at Audrey with my thumb. “Our boss held me up.”

Audrey narrowed her eyes playfully at me before waving. “Good luck!”

I wanted her to come with me but knew that she had to get ready too and I couldn’t really wait for her but at least I knew that she would be there. Philadelphia was the last city in the last leg of our tour and right after that, Audrey and I could spend as much time as we wanted. “You’re so whipped.”

I rolled my eyes. They’ve commented the same thing over and over throughout the year and I didn’t really mind. If I was to be wrapped around any woman’s finger, it had to be Audrey. Funny how I was once allergic when it came to love but Audrey was the only exception. If it wasn’t her, then I’d rather not.

Whenever I toured, I was always overwhelmed at the sight of the crowd that wanted to watch us perform. It was always such an overwhelming and insanely gratifying to see so many people wanting to watch you perform and listen to your songs. The crowd was always enough to pump up my energy but the moment that we arrived on stage, there was only one person I wanted to see.

And she was right there, sitting in the front row with Theo by her side and I couldn’t help but grin and give my performance my all, after all, the only person in the world that I wanted to witness me at my best was her. In the second act, I finally mentioned to the crowd that she was there.

“I would’ve wanted my girlfriend to come up on stage and sing that song with me but I’m a little selfish and don’t want to share her voice with the world.” The crowd laughed at what I said and the camera panned to Audrey who was blushing on the front row, shaking her head at me.

“And here’s a little fun fact for everyone to add on Wikipedia for us. I’ve mentioned in interviews that there was this voice I fell in love with about six years ago, oddly enough, I found her six years later and fell in love with her before I even knew that she was the owner of the voice I had been looking for.”

The crowd went wild at the confession and Audrey looked down, trying to hide her smile and shy away from the cameras. Theo jabbed her on the side and she looked up, meeting my eyes. I couldn’t help but smile when my eyes locked with her brown ones. “I love you.”

The screams in the arena was deafening and Audrey was blushing harder this time around and tried to motion for the camera men to stop focusing the camera on her as she tried to hide behind Theo. Jesus, it was hard to get a response from the woman but I honestly didn’t mind. I raised a hand to silence the crowd and signalled the band to start the next song.
