His First Cherry Pie (A Double Virgin Valentine)(9)
Author: Hope Ford

She wipes her hands on the napkin, and I know it’s just because she’s nervous and needs to do something with her hands. “Uh, I like the way you smell too.”

I lean forward and smirk. “Oh yeah, probably right now you do. I’m sure yesterday I was ripe and offensive.”

She instantly starts to shake her head. “Both. I mean, you smell good either way.”

She leans back in her chair, and her nipples are hard underneath her shirt. It’s nice to see I affect her just as much as she does me.

I point to her food. “Eat up so we can get that interview over with.”

We finish our meal, and I clean up while she goes to set up in my office. Once I have everything stacked in the dishwasher, I wipe off the kitchen table and then make my way to my home office.

Willa is sitting cross-legged on the couch, and I sit on the other end. She turns to me. “Okay, so I’ve thought of some questions, but remember sports is not my thing so feel free to jump in if you think I’m asking something I shouldn’t or...”

I turn toward her, drawing one leg up on the couch to face her. “You’ll be fine.”

She nods and sets her phone down between us and then gets her pen and paper out. “I’m going to record this, okay?”

I nod. I hate talking about myself, but I know it will be easier with her. Plus, I trust her. “Sure.”

“Okay, you hold the league record in domination blocks. You have zero penalties...” She goes on to talk about all my accomplishments and records. When she’s done, I realize that she hadn’t read any of that. She had it all committed to memory.

“I thought you didn’t know anything about football.”

She shrugs, but I can tell she’s lying before she even opens her mouth. “I did some research.”

I don’t call her on it. She stretches her legs out on the couch, and when her foot bumps my knee, she tries to pull back, but I don’t let her. I grab her feet and put them both in my lap. Her mouth falls open while I massage them. Her pink toes flex as she groans, “Oh my, that feels good.”

I readjust a little so her feet are nowhere near my cock. She’s going to think I can’t control myself if I keep sporting wood every time I touch her.

Her eyes are closed, and I clear my throat. “Okay, back to work. What’s the question?”

She taps her pen on the paper. “Okay. So you went to high school here, you went to college here in town...”

I correct her. “Junior college.”

She rolls her eyes. “Same thing. And then you got drafted for the Knoxville Knights.”

I nod, agreeing with everything she said. She has her facts right, so I wait for the question. “Is that the team you wanted to play for?”

I stare back at her. “That’s the only team I would have played for.”

Her eyes widen. “Why? I mean, obviously it’s a good team. But you’re saying if you were drafted say at New York or Ohio, you would have turned it down?”

I don’t even have to think about it. “Absolutely.”

“Why?” she blurts out incredulously.

“Because I wasn’t leaving Knoxville.”

Her eyes get big. “But why? I mean... because of your family?”

My mother wasn’t around. My father was an alcoholic and usually only came around to watch my high school games and normally didn’t make it until the end of the games because he got kicked out. No, the reason I wouldn’t leave Knoxville is simple: I wasn’t leaving her. Even if she wasn’t mine, I couldn’t leave her. “I wasn’t leaving Knoxville because there’s someone important here.”

Her mouth drops a little, and she stares down at the pad in her hand. “Uh, okay, next question. Watching you, there was a difference between the guy you were in high school and the one you were when you went to Juco. What happened?”

“By the time I got to college, I had things I needed to prove. The coach saw something in me. I gave a hundred percent, he wanted a hundred and ten. I put in the work.”

She tilts her head. “What did you have to prove?”

I jut my chin. “That I could be somebody... that I was worthy.”

She frowns, and I hate the pity I see on her face. She knows about my home life. Heck, everyone at Knox High did. It probably had something to do with why she didn’t want anything to do with me back then. She’s going to ask for more, and I don’t want to go there. “Next question.”

She looks at me, and I wait for her to continue, ask for more, but she doesn’t. She doesn’t want to push me, and I appreciate that. She looks at her paper again. “Okay, high school.”

I shake my head. “I’m not talking about high school.”

“Why not? You played football in high school. Surely, you know people are wondering about it.”

I laugh. “I was fat and lazy in high school football. I was lucky to walk on at Juco, and that’s where they kicked my ass and got me in shape.”

She jerks her head up. “You weren’t lazy. Why would you think that? You were our only offensive lineman that stopped every play.” She holds out her fingers, ticking off the school awards I won, the records I broke.

I wrap my hands around her legs. “I don’t understand. How do you even remember that? Why do you know that?”

She rolls her eyes and looks down at the paper in her hands. “I was on the school paper. We covered the games.”

“You didn’t. You covered the clubs. You didn’t cover athletics.”

She shrugs her shoulders, still not looking at me. “I still read it.”

I’m over this for now. The way she’s talking about me she makes me feel like I’m special, and I want to do the same for her. I slide my hands up her legs. She’s curvy, but compared to me she’s small, and my hands wrap easily around her legs.

“I want to taste you, Willa.”

She smiles and rolls her eyes, but she does scoot toward me. She leans in, and there’s no way I’m going to turn a kiss down. I kiss her thoroughly. In the process, she’s knocked her paper and pen to the floor, and she’s all but crawled into my lap. When I pull back, I have one hand on her cheek, and I force her eyes on mine. “That’s not what I meant.”

She shakes her head, and then her eyes get big when she realizes what I mean.

“The question is, are you going to let me?”

Chapter 10

Willa

Really! How could I say no to him? Not because of his status or money, but because of who he is... the guy I’ve longed for all this time. My mouth dry, I nod.

He sets me back on the couch and gets up, moving the coffee table. He then picks me up and lays me on the plush rug. It’s amazing how he manhandles me. A normal size man wouldn’t be able to, but I’m learning there’s nothing normal about JD.

He’s on his knees, hovering over me and looking at me as if I’m the most important person in the world. “Just a taste, baby. Just to tide me over.”

I can’t deny him. I don’t want to. I nod, and he undoes the button of my shorts. He has them and my panties down in an instant, tossing them over his shoulder. He’s looking at me as if he could eat me alive. The longer he stares at the apex of my thighs, the more I start to squirm under his scrutiny. “No,” he says, putting a big, beefy arm over my thighs to hold me still.
