To My Dad's Hot Best Friend (The Inappropriate Bachelors #8)(11)
Author: J. S. Cooper

“Oh my gosh, Shelby. You’re fucking hot. You can get away with a little risqué.”

“You haven’t seen my outfit. Let’s just say I’m not leaving much to the imagination.”

“What are you wearing, girl?”

“Sexy negligee.” I laughed.

“Shit. I bet the frat guys wish they never canceled their party now.”

“I bet they do,” I said. “So what are you wearing to the party? Should I go home and change?”

“Well, I was actually about to get ready myself. If you’re wearing a negligee, I’ll wear a negligee.”

“Oh, yeah?”

“Yeah. There’s this one dude that is fucking hot. I would love to fuck him. Shit, I would love to just give him a blowjob. He’s that gorgeous.”

“Okay. Well, I mean, if you don’t think they’ll think we’re some sort of prostitutes or something.”

“Girl, come on now. Look at us. Could anyone ever believe that we’re prostitutes?”

“True,” I said. “We’re way too classy for that.”

That was technically not the truth. I was too classy to be considered a prostitute, but Natalie definitely wasn’t. Everyone knew that she got around. And it’s not like I was judging her for it. It was just something that guys talked about.

You didn’t even have to take her out for a meal. She loved to give blowjobs. In fact, she was the only woman I knew who would give a blowjob at the drop of a hat. She said there was something about knowing that her lips made a man hard that turned her on. I didn’t want to tell her that literally anyone woman’s lips could make a man hard because I didn’t want to burst her bubble.

“So, you down, bitch?” she said.

“Sure. Text me the address and I’ll head over.”

“Okay. Awesome,” she said. “I’ll text it to you. See you soon.”

“Okay,” bye.”

I chewed on my lower lip for a couple of seconds, thinking maybe, just maybe, I could come up with another plan. Maybe I could make Sam jealous. I immediately called Sam, who picked up on the third ring.

“Hey, what’s up?” he said in a low voice.

“Just wondering if you’ve already left and gone to your party yet.”

“I’m not going to a party. I’m going to meet my friend at a bar.”

“Really? And you forgot you were meeting your friend at a bar and you just conveniently remembered when I showed up looking all sexy and shit?”

He huffed a dry laugh. “You’re really full of yourself, aren’t you, Shelby?”

“I’d rather be full of you.”

“Okay then,” he said in a low drawl. “So you’re turning up the heat.”

“Yes, I am.”

“I’m guessing there really wasn’t a party tonight?”

“Yes, there was and there is, and I’m on my way there now. And in fact…”

“In fact what?” he said.

“I might just have to let one of the young men at the party take care of business for me.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Well, you got me turned on, and now I need someone to release me.”

“To release you,” he said. “What the fuck does that mean?”

“I need to come.”

“Well, it seems to me that you could take care of yourself,” he said. “I mean, when you slipped your fingers into your panties and started fingering yourself.”

“I didn’t finger myself. I just rubbed my clit,” I said.

He chuckled. “Gotta hand it to you. You are the only woman I know who is so open and honest and straightforward about her sexuality.”

“Then I guess you haven’t been with many real women, then.”

“I guess I haven’t,” he said. “So you’re on the way to the party?”

“I mean, I could come back to your place…”

“Shelby, no.”

“Fine. Then I’ll go to the party and let someone else take care of me.”

“Shelby, I don’t think that’s a good idea. I think you should go home.”

“Why?”

“Because I don’t think you should let some random guy fuck you.”

“I’m not going to let a random guy fuck me. I don’t need to be fucked to come.”

“Shelby, I…”

“Can I come back over?”

“It’s not a good idea.”

“Then bye, Sam,” I said and hung up.

He immediately called me back, and I smiled to myself. I guess I was getting to him a little bit. I knew that he wasn’t going to let me come over, though, so I didn’t bother answering the phone.

I checked my messages and saw that Natalie had sent me the address to the party so I put it into my GPS. It was about twenty-five minutes away. It wasn’t the nicest part of town, but it wasn’t the worst.

When I pulled up outside the house, I could hear music blaring. I texted Natalie to let her know I was there and knocked on the door. A cute guy with light brown hair and light brown hair answered the door and smiled at me.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“I’m just here for the party.”

“Sure. Come in. What’s your name?”

“Shelby,” I said. “You?”

“Hank.”

“Cool.” I looked around. The place was absolutely packed. Everyone looked appeared to be in their mid to late twenties, and I didn’t see anyone I recognized. I texted Natalie again.

“Hey, I’m here. Are you here yet?”

She texted me back immediately. “Be there in 25.”

“Okay.” I looked around and figured I’d get a drink while I waited for her. I headed over to the side of the room where there was a table, grabbed one of the red Solo cups and poured myself some vodka. I took a sip and shuddered. Definitely wasn’t the best vodka, but it would do.

“Hey, there. You going to take off your coat?” A cute guy with curly blonde hair next to me asked.

“Not yet,” I said, smiling at him. He was wearing a pair of boxers and had on no shirt. He wasn’t buff, but he wasn’t fat either.

“So you’re not going to let us see your PJs?”

“Not yet. I haven’t had enough to drink,” I said looking around. “So this is a pajama party?”

“Yes, it is.”

“Cool.” So I guess that really was a thing. I sent Sam a text message quickly. “I’m at the party. Last chance for you to say I can come over.”

He responded immediately. “Go home, Shelby.” I glared at the phone and put it back into my handbag.

“So, you want something to drink?” the guy with the curly hair asked me.

“I got something,” I held up my cup, “but thanks.”

“Okay. You want to dance maybe?” He nodded towards the living room where music was blasting from, and I shook my head.

“Nah, it’s okay. I’m just waiting on my friend.”

“Oh. Your boyfriend?” He looked disappointed.

“Mm, yeah. Sure,” I said, shrugging, and turned away from him.
