Defender (Kensley Panthers #3)(14)
Author: Nicole Dykes

“Are you close? I want to feel you come so damn bad, Travis. I want you to scream my name when you do.”

“Oh, Jesus,” he says, his cock sliding over mine, our precum making the glide easy because we’re both leaking like crazy.

“Oakley,” I correct, and he bites my bottom lip, but he’s smiling and panting.

“Oh fuck, Oakley.” He tosses his head back, and I take the opportunity to suck on his neck, over his Adam’s apple and his jawline. I nibble as he pants and throws his hips forward. “I’m so damn close.”

I grip his ass in both hands, pulling him to me. “Me too. Come with me, Travis. You’re so fucking hot.”

“Oh, God,” he moans, his head still thrown back, and he looks blissed-out. “Oakley,” he gasps, not exactly a shout, but it’s just as beautiful as I imagined. His body draws up tight, the veins in his neck banded with tension just as he comes, and his warm, sticky cum coats his hand, my cock, and our bodies, which is enough to set off my own orgasm.

Pleasure shoots down my spine to my balls as I empty them, combining our releases as he strokes us until neither of us can take it anymore.

He lowers his chin, and I press my forehead to his, both of us trying to catch our breath as I take in the sight of our cocks in his hand, covered in cum. His stomach muscles flex with every single pant of breath.

It was slow and frantic at the same time. The best damn orgasm I’ve ever had in my life. The best kiss. The best fucking everything.

His eyes close as he takes a deep breath, and then he pulls back to look into my eyes. Fear floods my system because I don’t want him to say this was a mistake. I don’t want him to push me away.

I don’t want him to overthink this.

His eyes open, and I see a blissed-out, sexy grin on his swollen red lips. “Damn, Oakley. Sometimes you do have good ideas.”

I laugh and shove him playfully as he laughs too, releasing us and shoving me back. “We should get cleaned up.”

“Your shower big enough for the both of us?”

His eyes slyly slide over my body before he shrugs. “I guess we’ll find out.” He starts toward the bathroom, and I take a moment to admire his firm ass as he walks. Goddamn, he has a nice ass. He shoots a wink over his shoulder at me like he knows exactly what I was just doing, and he doesn’t scold me for it. “Come on. I want to do that again.”

Well, hot damn. I think he’s actually going to just go with this for once. No overthinking. Not being very Travis Wyatt. While that’s not always a bad thing, and I’m sure I could stand to think about some things a little more, I’m glad he’s going to give this a try.

For once, he’s going to try the Oakley Easton way.

And I’m determined to show him just how fun that can be.

TRAVIS

This should just be a one-time thing. That’s the smart thing to do. It was insanely hot, and I got to take my time exploring his body. His gorgeous, insanely perfect, large body. I always thought my type would be someone smaller than me—lean with little muscle. The opposite of all the guys I’ve been around most of my life.

But goddamn, Oakley’s body—touching him and exploring those hard muscles with my hands—it was a huge turn-on.

“You’re totally thinking about it, aren’t you?” Oakley whispers, leaning in, his warm breath softly passing over my ear.

We’re supposed to be working. Preparing Mrs. Rich’s flowerbed before the first frost. But he’s not wrong. I can’t stop thinking about the other night. Just four nights ago, I had my lips on his, and our bodies were pressed against each other’s in my small apartment.

And then again in the shower. I wanted so badly to drop to my knees and take him into my mouth, but I chickened out and settled for another mutual hand job that nearly melted my brain with how good it felt.

After our shower, I thought he’d leave, having been satisfied, but instead we hung out on my couch for a while, watching nothing on television and talking before he finally decided it was time to go home. He hasn’t brought up fooling around again. Not yet. I was surprised he didn’t bring it up the very next day, but his devious looks and flashed grins told me he was thinking about it every time we were around each other.

I’m tempted. I can’t say I’m not.

But he’s calling me on it now because I can’t stop thinking about that night. It runs through my head nearly every minute of the day. It’s starting to get a little frightening, like I’m addicted or something.

“No. Get back to work,” I say with absolutely no conviction, unable to keep the grin off my lips.

“I am,” he rasps against my ear and a full-on shiver slides through me. “I can’t stop thinking about it.”

I turn around, smiling when I see that playful mischief I’m slowly becoming addicted to as well. “We should probably leave it as a one-time thing.”

His smile fades instantly, and I want to call my words back, hating that I took away that shine. “It was hot.”

I smile, hoping that his will come back. “It was.”

He nibbles on his plush lower lip, and I’m transfixed by that motion, lost in the memory of feeling those lips on mine too much to fully understand he’s nervous. “Did I do it wrong? Is that why you don’t want to?”

My eyes snap from his lips up to his eyes in shock. “What? No,” I say emphatically. “It was . . .” I shake my head, getting flushed just thinking about it. “No. Not wrong. It was good. Really good.”

Shut up, Travis.

Jesus. This is why I’ve always been quiet. When I start talking, I apparently say stupid things.

His smile finally returns, and it’s even brighter than before. “So why can’t we?”

“I . . .”—don’t have an answer for him.

“Are you meeting up with that Ryan guy?” he asks, and I swear I see a hint of insecurity in his eyes. But that can’t be right.

Oakley Easton is the most confident human being I’ve ever met.

“No.” I haven’t talked to Ryan for a while now. He hasn’t messaged, and neither have I. He’s probably already moved on to someone with the balls to actually meet him in person.

“Then you’re free?” he asks, a crooked grin on his handsome face.

“We’re friends.”

“Aw, you called me your friend.” He puts a hand over his heart, and I roll my eyes, shoving him playfully.

He laughs and recovers fast. “You’re a jackass.”

“But I’m your friend too,” he says and then waggles his eyebrows. “Your hot friend. Who you like getting naked with.”

I really, really do.

“Oakley.” I sigh, but his smile doesn’t leave him this time.

“Tonight,” he says, stepping close to me where I can feel his body heat despite the cool fall air around us. I just nod because I can’t turn it down.

I don’t want to mess up our newfound friendship, but I don’t want to miss out on whatever the hell this is either. No. I don’t have any delusions it’ll ever turn into more—not that I would ever want that—but the chance to have this experience with him, it’s too good to pass up.
