Tug of War(10)
Author: T.L Osborn

Reaching the hem of her shirt, I slide my hands beneath it to connect with the skin of her sides and lower back. It’s warm, silky smooth. I rub seductively, hearing her moan. I pull her closer to me and rub my lips across her shoulder to the crook of her neck. She smells like lavender—an intoxicating smell and one I’ll never get enough of.

I place light kisses on her skin and whisper. “Steph, give me the remote.”

“No.”

“Stephanie,” I command. She wriggles herself closer in my lap. The apex between her thighs rubs harder against my rock-solid cock. Fuck. I’ve taken this too far. I should stop, but I really don’t want to.

“Jake,” she moans. It’s seductive, husky and raw. I’d like to hear that as I lick her sweet pussy while she’s tied to my headboard and unable to move. I’d lick her so good she wouldn’t be able to move afterwards.

Suddenly, I feel the remote moved from beside me. Leaning forward, I wrap my arms around her, holding her against me while I clasp her hands which are wrapped around it. She’s trying her dandiest to wriggle free from my grip, but I’m bigger and stronger.

The little vixen thinks this is a game. It’s a game she won’t win.

“Give up already, J.”

“No, sugar. I can play Tug of War all night long.”

“I bet you’d rather I was tugging on something else,” she whispers in my ear before licking it. Yuck! Grabbing her before she can get away, I press my lips to hers. I merely hope to distract her long enough to get the remote back.

A clang of something hitting the floor comes before her hands begin to rub over my biceps and chest. She’s fierce but gentle in her kiss, a passion I never expected. It’s heaven. She rips her mouth away from mine, her face mortified at our action.

Does my breath stink, or am I bad at kissing?

“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that.” Her face flushes red as she dashes across the room.

“Steph, wait.” She leans on the doorframe and slowly turns her head to face me. “I’m sorry I took that too far. You’re hurting, and I know you don’t want to tell me why. It doesn’t excuse the fact that I took advantage of it. For that, I am truly sorry.”

“It’s okay Jake. It’s my fault as much as yours.”

“I can go if you want.” I’d rather not leave you alone.

She shakes her head. “No, stay, please. It’s nice to have the company.”

“Does this mean I get to pick the movie?” I ask with a smirk.

“Not a chance.” She smiles back as she walks over to me.

She picks up the remote from the floor, and we settle down on the couch to watch the film of her choosing. Each of us is sitting on opposite ends of the sofa, sipping the wine until we drink the entire bottle. Throughout the movie, I steal glances at her.

Not long into the film, I hear light snoring coming from her side of the couch. Glancing over, I find her curled up, hand resting beneath her head and mouth wide open. I wonder if Sleeping Beauty ever drooled during her one-hundred-year sleep. I’ll make a note to ask Charlotte—the expert on all things princess—when I see her next.

I turn the TV off, gather Stephanie into my arms and carry her into her bedroom. Carefully, I pull back her blankets and lay her in the bed.

“Jake…” she murmurs dreamily.

“Shh, Steph. I’m still here.”

“That’s good.” A snort comes out as she rolls over and I pull the blankets around her.

“Goodnight,” I whisper as I exit the room, pulling her door almost shut, but leaving it ajar. Fetching myself a blanket from the hall cupboard, I make a bed on the couch, then settle in, resting my hand behind my head as a makeshift pillow. I’ve slept in worse conditions.

Staring at her bedroom door, I wish I was sharing the bed with her tonight, but I won’t push it. I know something happened with the guy she’s been seeing. From what I saw earlier, I think he was the guy that came after us. His face looked absolutely crushed when he saw me with his woman. Selfishly I’m delighted they might not be together anymore.

Maybe now I can make her mine.

Stephanie

I’m awoken the next morning by banging and clanging from inside my house. I groan and pull the covers over my head in a poor attempt to drown out the noise.

Not only did I embarrass myself with Ben last night, but I sure as shit shouldn’t have let things go as far as they had with Jake. But God...I wanted him to rip my clothes off, carry me to bed and make me forget the events of the night. I wanted him to make me his even if it was for one night.

I throw the blankets off myself and decide to make my way into the kitchen to find out why he’s making so much damn noise.

Wait a minute. I’m in my bedroom.

Where did Jake sleep last night?

I sit up and see there’s no sign of him around the room. I grab my robe and exit my bedroom. As I pass by the lounge, I see a blanket neatly folded on the couch.

That answers my earlier question.

I find him cleaning my kitchen, the dishes are done, and he’s drinking a coffee whilst dancing around the room. His ass looks fantastic as he sways his hips to whatever he’s listening to through his phone.

I giggle, and he turns around a pink tinge on his cheeks.

“Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you,” he says as he pulls the buds out of his ears.

“I don’t think anyone would mind a hot man cleaning their kitchen in the morning.”

He smiles. “I’m making coffee, would you like one?”

“Yes, please.”

“How do you take yours?”

“Milk with one sugar please.”

“Same as me.”

“I used to have two sugars, but I’m slowly trying to cut back.”

He looks at me with a grin but doesn’t say a word. He brings two coffees over to the table and takes a seat. I take a sip of the hot drink and look at him. “Listen, about last night.”

He holds up his hands. “I was a gentleman, I swear. You should know you talk in your sleep and it was mostly my name that came out last night.”

“I wasn’t assuming you weren’t a gentleman. I wanted to apologise to you again for my behaviour. I took things too far, and I should’ve stopped it. But truthfully, I didn’t want to. You made me feel alive and desired.”

He smiles and reaches his hand across the table, taking mine in his. “I didn’t want to stop either. You have no idea what I was thinking about.” He picks up his drink in his other hand and takes a sip. I do the same; my eyes never leaving his over the edge of my mug.

“Let’s leave last night between us. It’s our little secret.”

He leans forward, places a kiss on my cheek. “I’d better go. I promised Toby I’d join him at the gym this morning, and if I’m late, he’s going to pull his detective shit on me and question me until I can’t take it.”

“Have fun. Thank you for taking care of me.”

“Anytime, sugar. Remember, I’m here if you ever want to talk.”

He gets out of his seat, places his cup in the sink and exits my house without another word.

I finish my coffee, suddenly missing Jake’s company. Sighing, I put my cup in the sink next to his and make my way into the bathroom to shower in lukewarm water. No matter how many times I try to tell my landlord that he needs to get the hot water checked, he doesn’t.
