Love is Contagious : A Charity Anthology(483)
Author: J. Saman

His lips are on my boob now, popping a nipple in his mouth and I buck up into him, reaching between us to unbuckle his pants and unzip him. He finally pops free as I drag down his boxers and I frantically put on the condom, hovering over him.

"Slow, Charlotte. We never did it like this, it might be a little deep for you."

I nod, steadying my breath as I feel him against my opening. I drop down a little lower as he slowly slides inside me, my body stretching and I groan.

"Oh dammit, that is...different."

"Slow," he commands, gripping my hips to stop me.

I move slower until I'm finally sitting all the way on top of him and he drops his head back closing his eyes.

"Give me a second," he says through clenched teeth. "I...this feels too good."

"It does, God, it does. So, so good."

I move forward a little, grinding against him and he twitches inside me, lifting me a little then dropping me back down.

"Like that Charlotte, just like that," he says out of breath.

I nod as I put my hands on top of his shoulders and start to move up and down on top of him. It's not the first time we've done it, it's been a hell of a lot of times since then, but this time is different. I feel my heart in it this time, more so than the others. I knew I loved Gabriel but right now, I never loved him more. I can't describe it but I wrap my arms around his neck and move faster, bringing us both to orgasm as he curses and hugs me back, his arms wrapped around my back so tight.

"I love you, Charlotte," he groans into my neck. "Fuckkk, I love you."

"I love you too," I pant.

Gabriel

I lay on the grass of the field with Charlotte straddling my lap, her books on my stomach. I watch her face twist up in that adorable little way as she looks at her notes. Everyday there is something else about her that I fall in love with.

"Pi will always boggle my mind. Why in the hell do we need to know what pi is? Am I gonna go into the grocery store and say, 'Oh, ma'am, those bananas are on sale, just calculate the percentage off with pi'?" she grumbles.

I laugh, grabbing her hands and lacing them with mine.

"As far as I'm concerned, the only math I need to know, I already learned in middle school. Addin', subtractin' multiplyin', dividin' and percentages. Everything else is a waste of time."

"I know it is but we still need to know it," she groans.

"You're super cute when you're all studious like that," I smirk.

She wriggles against my hips and I groan.

"Why don't we have a toss, get ready for your game?" I say, sitting up and hugging her waist, giving her a kiss on her lips.

"Oh fine, I ain't gettin' anywhere with this homework anyway. Lemme go change and get my glove. I'll be back. Can you put all my books back in my bag for me?"

"Sure thing, baby cakes," I say lifting both of us off the ground.

I smack her butt as she walks off towards the school and start putting her books back into her backpack. I walk it over to the dugout and grab my glove off the bench, reaching for a softball.

Charlotte's got her first game this afternoon and she's starting at third base. I know she's nervous, but she's playing it cool.

"I said piss off, Samuel! You don't learn!"

I glance up and see Samuel walking behind Charlotte and he grabs her arm, pulling her back towards him. I drop my glove and ball and sprint towards them.

"Everyone else sees it, why can't you? He's gonna break you Charlotte! Guys like him are gonna have their pick when they reach the big leagues! He ain't gonna want a small town girl like you!"

Samuel sees me too late as his eyes widen and I pop him straight in the nose.

"Gabriel!" Charlotte gasps.

"Fuck off, Samuel. I told you once, I ain't gonna say it again. Stop talkin' to my girl, stop lookin' at my girl, don't even think about my girl!"

"Son of...I think you broke my nose!" Samuel groans, through all the blood running down his face.

"You put your hands on her! You're lucky I didn't break your damn leg either! Get the hell outta here!"

He stumbles off and I feel a light smack on my arm.

"You're gonna get yourself kicked off the damn team, Gabriel Gavinwood! Why in the hell would you do that for?" Charlotte scolds.

"Baby cakes, he put his hands on you. I heard what he said and I--"

"I don't give a damn what he said, Gabriel. Samuel is a little rat and you played right into his trap. Ignore him, ignore everyone," she says softly, putting her hands on my cheek.

Her touch settles me, calms me and I take a deep breath, letting it out.

"I'm sorry, Charlotte, but you knew how I was when you started datin' me. I'm jealous, I'm a hot head and I don't sit by when someone is disrespectin' my girl," I say, shaking my head.

"I know and I love every part of you but if you got kicked off the team because of me, if it hurt your chances at the majors, Gabriel, I wouldn't ever be able to live with myself."

"It won't. He put his hands on you, Charlotte. I was defendin' you."

She smiles and shakes her head.

"Let's go, crazy man."

Charlotte is up to bat and her father comes up next to me on the bleachers.

"Hi Mr. Daniels, nice to see you," I greet, putting my hand out for him to shake.

"Gabriel," he nods. "How's the season goin'?"

"Good sir. 2-0 right now. Lookin' like a good squad this year."

I glance back over at the field and Charlotte steps into the box. I hold my breath at the first pitch and exhale as she keeps the bat on her shoulder.

Ball one.

"Good eye, Daniels. Wasn't your pitch. Wait for it," I yell.

She steps out of the box, adjusting her gloves and I see her exhale.

"Come on, baby," I whisper.

"So you love her, huh?" Charlotte's father asks.

"I...yes sir, I do. Very much," I say shakily, remembering his promise all too well.

"Well alright then. Me and her mama weren't too far off your age gettin' married. Right outta high school. I don't want that for Charlie, though. I want her to play ball at LSU, get her degree. Don't mess that up for her son, she deserves all of it."

I nod and reach for his outstretched hand, shaking it.

"O-of course sir, I wouldn't dream of messin' that up," I stutter.

We glance back towards the field, just in time to see Charlotte connect with the ball and crank it towards left field. I get to my feet, holding my breath as it lands outside the fence and I jump up, running towards the dugout.

"That's my girl! Nice pop, baby! That's how you do it! First hit of the season and it's outta the park! Wooooo, that's my girl!" I yell, fist pumping.

She runs the bases with a big smile on her face and runs to the dugout slapping everyone's hands. She gets to the end and hops up on the bench, leaning over to kiss me.

"That was one hell of a first hit, baby cakes. LSU is gonna be knockin' down your door in no time," I whisper.

"Thanks for workin' with me the past few weeks. Every hit is yours, boy," she imitates and winks at me.
