Dirty Intentions : A Dark High School Bully Romance(7)
Author: Sarwah Creed

“Why not come to Jet’s party? He’s having one this weekend,” she purred as she held on to my arm without permission.

I must admit, I was tempted to go. Jet went to a different academy not far away. It’s a little different over there, though. Unlike here, not everyone that goes there stays in the dorms on the campus. So, Jet was one of the guys that we met and got to know because he was a local and lived in a house. He had the freedom to do whatever he felt like all the time since his parents were hardly at home, and he nearly always had the place to himself. When he was at home, he spent more time with the housekeeper than his parents. We met him when we had a ball game at his school once. He’s the captain of their football team and that seems to be his ticket into a good university.

It was strange, because we hadn’t seen him since last summer, which felt like years ago, not just a few months. We used to hang out there all the time, especially with Claire. As much as I hated to admit it, I couldn’t think of a reason not to go to the party. If anything, it was a great escape to get out of here, and not accidentally or even on purpose bump into Mom.

“Trent, it’s not a bad idea. It would do us good to get out of here.” He shrugged, then I gave him a wink, and a smile, to let him know that I wasn’t just saying it for Claire’s sake. I really meant that it would be a good idea to get some fresh air and take a break from all the studying.

“Why not, right? We need to get out of here together!” He said, it was a jab at me, to let me know he hadn’t forgotten that I’d gone off to Maine without him, and I shouldn’t have done it last time. I could tell by his tone that he was feeling exactly the same way that I was right now. Fed up with this place, and the woman that had abandoned us a long time ago.

“Oh, I can’t believe that I have my men back! I’ll send you the dets,” Claire gushed, kissed my cheek, then before we could say anything she was talking to Ruby, and Goldie about the party.

“Since when did they all become friends?” Trent asked, his eyes fixated on the three of them walking away together as if they were a little posse.

“Trent, I was thinking the same thing the other day when I saw Claire with Goldie. By the way, have you seen Sarah lately? It’s weird that Claire’s spending so much time with Goldie, but hey, that’s her business.”

I sighed thinking about Claire, and partying. She hated it at first; but once she got a good a taste of it, she couldn’t get enough. Neither could I right now, for that matter. It wasn’t just the getting high and drunk part that I liked. It was the music, and the vibe which I craved at the moment.

“She’s gone,” Trent blurted out with his eyes still fixated on the three ladies as they walked Sarah, and Claire, but when I asked them the same thing, I was told just what I just said to you - gone. That could mean anything, but then I heard a rumor that Sarah had to go. Something about money trouble with the family…”

“Of course, it was all over the news and social media. Shit, I forgot about that, it was just before Christmas. I remember everyone talking about it. Her dad was arrested for scamming loads of people out of money.”

“Great. She’s having to suffer for the sins of her father. We know that feeling all too well.”

I ignored his comment and decided to change the subject. We hadn’t talked in a while, even if it was meaningless bullshit gossip. Fuck, I didn’t care what we talked about, I just wanted that connection that I was craving right now. It was there now, and I didn’t want to spoil it.

“You want to get something to eat? I feel like having a bite, and then afterwards, we could hit the gym.” He asked, his gaze cautious but hopeful.

I laughed, “Shouldn’t it be the other way around?”

“Sure, but when I’m this hungry, I can hardly work out, and it’s just pointless. So, I’m not going to stuff myself, because I know I’ll get sick, but something light just to get me in the mood for a strong workout sounds good.”

I touched my abs, and said, “Maybe I should workout. Feeling a little sluggish lately.”

He nodded, “Yep, you are being a bit lazy lately. I could do with a training partner, and besides I can’t have my twin getting all fat and looking slobby. It would look bad, me being the sexy twin, and you the flabby one.”

I laughed, “Hey, slow down. I’m not that bad. We ended up eating one too many of Vicki’s pancakes over the holidays, and now it’s showing on me. How come you look the same?”

“Because I always work out,” he said with a wink. He didn’t just mean at the gym either, he meant with Vicki.

I nodded with pursed lips and then smiled to let him know it was all cool. “Show-off. OK you got a deal!”

I stretched out my hand, and we shook on it. Then we closed our lockers instead of lurking near them like creeps. There were a lot of students around, and with it being a Friday, everyone was preparing to leave early. We’d all rush out of here as if the building was on fire. We’d decided that we were going to grab a quick bite, workout, and catch some zees. We agreed that at some point during the weekend, we’d study but tonight wasn’t that night, and tomorrow wouldn’t be it either. That left Sunday, which was better than nothing. This weekend was going to be fun, that was for sure.

Chapter Four

It was Saturday night, and we were ready to party hard, and enjoy ourselves. I couldn’t remember the last time I drove, but it felt good to be behind the wheel. When I first got my Tesla for my eighteenth birthday, I couldn’t stop touching it. Now, most of the time, I forget that it even exists because there's no need for me to drive it. I never have to shop or go out, when most of the things that I want I bought online or Magdalena or Marta buys them for me.

“A penny for your thoughts?” Trent asked as I ran my hand along the steering wheel, admiring the engineering of the car.

I guess he noticed, since I was just sitting there and hadn’t started the car yet. We were both dressed to impress in our white Gucci suits, and ready to hit the party.

“Yeah, I’m good, just thinking about this car, it was the love of my life back then when I got it.”

Trent laughed, “Yeah Hawk bought them, and said that they were from Mom. As if we believed that she even remembered our birthdays, let alone would buy us a car. That’s another thing that worries me. Do you think that there’s anything left of our trust? I haven’t been keeping tabs on the quarterly statements. I mean, for all we know we could be penniless, and everything that we do have, comes from him, and not what we inherited from our grandparents.”

“Neither have I, shit, I don’t even open them anymore. I have asked Hawk a couple of times when it did pop into my head, and he told me not to worry, and he’s right there is nothing to worry about. We have credit cards, cars, and we never have to worry about where the money comes from. One thing is for sure, Hawk isn’t that bad is he really?”

He shook his head, “Don’t push it. I’m here looking good in my white suit, and ready to party. Don’t push it and start a fight. I’m not in the mood, not tonight. Let’s just enjoy ourselves without mentioning parents or even stepparents. Fuck, let’s just have fun!”
