Dirty Intentions : A Dark High School Bully Romance(8)
Author: Sarwah Creed

I was tempted to say something else, but then decided that seeing as he was already on the edge of a bad mood, that it was best to keep my mouth shut.

I was distracted by a knock on the window. I grinned as I spotted the two hot blonds outside the car. Obviously, they wanted to come in.

“You weren’t leaving without us, were you?” Claire frowned, then quickly changed it to a grin as Trent opened the door for them.

“After all, we told you about the party. I sent you messages, didn’t you read them? I told you we needed a ride to the party.”

She did tell us about the party, but it wasn’t until she mentioned it that both Trent and I looked at our messages. We’d been avoiding our phones like the plague, worried that Hawk would summon us, and once again we’d have to see our mom. That was something that neither of us wanted to do again, once bitten twice shy. Who knew how long she was staying around, and who really cared? She didn’t, that was clear.

“We wouldn’t dream of it!” He laughed as they both jumped in. They both had on fur coats even though they’re banned in most States, and I wondered if they had anything more than their birthday suits on underneath them.

“You ready to party!!” Goldie screamed, and it was clear that she’d had a little too much of something, because she was really happy. Then again, she was like that all the time. Always on a high as she lit up the academy with not only her hair and eyes, but her smile too. Damn, I wish that I had that much energy, the type that was from a natural high. It made me even more curious as to why Claire was hanging around with her, when Claire hated being upstaged, and loved being the center of attention.

Trent grinned and responded with as much energy as Goldie, “You ladies ready to party?”

I couldn’t believe that he was happy for them to come along for the ride, and I felt like the old man that wanted everything to be in control, before we even hit the party.

When did I get to be so boring?

“Fuck yeah!” Claire shouted out, and I started the car with a wince at all the shouting. We were on our way to the house that had a jacuzzi, sauna, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and so much more. We called it Jet’s Dynasty, because it is a fucking mansion with about three separate grounds, and stables. Sometimes, it didn’t feel like a house but a fucking hotel, and we loved hanging out there, not only for the space, but because it was a happy place. Jet knew how to entertain, from food and alcohol to drugs, there was no room for disappointment in that house, and we knew it.

“Goldie you been to Jet’s before?” I asked as I pulled out of the gates.

“Of course, she’s been before, did you think that I wouldn’t be taking her out, when you guys decided to dump me? I had to find some entertainment seeing as I was so lonely, because Sarah left, and I had no one to talk to.”

I took a quick glance in the rear-view mirror, and she was air kissing Goldie as if they were best friends. I hated to break Goldie’s bubble, and tell her that Claire was just using her, but who the hell was I to break up their bond? Claire was trying to make us feel guilty and ruining the mood that I was trying to build with some light conversation.

“Wait, that reminds me. Where is your little princess tonight?” Claire asked with venom underscoring her word. Both Trent, and I glanced at each other after I put in the security code at the and waited for the fate to open.

“She’s with her dad,” Trent said but he wasn’t looking at Claire, he was staring at me, and shaking his head as if to tell me not to jump in this conversation. I hate to tell him, but I had no intention of doing that anyway. If anything it just made me want to drive even faster. I was regretting letting Claire come with us, and I knew that pretty soon, I’d probably regret going to the party. That sucked hard because I’d been looking forward to it since she gave us the details yesterday.

“Oh. So, she’s not an orphan then? I thought that she had no one. If she’s got a dad, then why the hell isn’t she living with him?” Claire was shooting questions out, and I remembered that I needed to talk to Trent about her. It was as if I’d suddenly woken up from a bad dream as Claire continued her litany in the back seat. Between Mom coming back, and Trent being obsessed with Vicki, I forgot to tell him about Claire, and her craziness.

“Gee, what’s with all the hate, Claire? And if you hate her so fucking much, why all the interest?” Trent asked, and then spun around to face her. I could feel her eyes piercing the back of my head as she said nothing and avoided his question.

She wanted to know, because she should have found out this piece of information with all the digging she’d said she’d done, right? She was disappointed, and probably wanted to dig some more as soon as she had the chance to be on her phone alone.

I didn’t get her, if she had endless amounts of money then why didn’t she just pay someone to kill Vicki if she wanted to get rid of her so badly? The really bad part was that I knew the answer to my own question. She very well might have.

Claire was the type of girl that didn’t want to get her hands dirty and was happy for someone to do it for her. If she hired someone to do her dirty work, then it would involve her somehow, and might come back to haunt her. But if she’d tracked down Vicki’s stepdad, who knows what she’d talked him into with her guile and seductive ways?

She’d like that, especially since whatever would not be directly linked to her, or so she probably thought in some fucked up way.

The old me would have been proud, because we’d taught her well, but now all I could feel was disgust knowing that the blue eyed beauty behind me who couldn’t do any wrong, was the devil in disguise.

“Damn, I thought that we were going to a party. Now, it feels as if someone has died,” Goldie said, and then flicked her hair. She pouted as I looked in the rear-view mirror. Both Trent and Claire were staring out of their windows. Claire was probably dying to get out of the car to find out whose Vicki dad was.

I’m sure it was killing her that she hadn’t know about the dad until tonight. I wanted to gloat and say something, but I didn’t want to rock the boat too much. Claire was more dangerous than I’d ever imagined, and I needed to keep her happy.

“You’re right, Goldie, and I can’t be dealing with all this drama. Claire whatever your deal is with Vicki, just zip it, and get over it. We’re all going out to have a good time, and that’s exactly what I need right now. I’ve had enough drama for one week!” Trent said, and then he rolled down the window, and put out his hand to feel the cool breeze from outside blowing into the car.

I glanced in the mirror to see that Claire was about to say something, but then she shut her mouth. Thank fuck for that!

Goldie giggled as she talked about Jet’s house, and the difference between hers and his. No one was listening to her, especially not me. No one commented or said anything as I drove over 100 miles per hour, thinking that the sooner we got to this party, the better, because I felt like a drink or even something stronger because there was enough tension in the car to tip it over.

“Free at last guys! Welcome to my humble abode!” Jet said as soon as he spotted us. As usual he was surrounded by girls, a blond, and a red-haired girl who smiled as soon as they saw us. No doubt they were into us because we’re twins, and even Jet with his emerald eyes and dark hair couldn’t sway them to stay with him.
