Brothers in Blue : A Bryson Family Christmas (Brothers in Blue #4)(22)
Author: Jeanne St. James

Which made moving to Manning Grove to join the PD a bit easier.

That didn’t mean all the area folks accepted them, there were plenty who didn’t. Including Teddy’s own family who avoided them like the plague. As if homosexuality could be caught like a virus.

For the most part, Teddy’s parents avoided town, but the few times they’d run into them, they acted like Teddy was invisible. In fact, one time while he and Teddy were in Dino’s Diner on their regular lunch meetup, his parents walked in, spotted the two of them and walked out without a word or even a sign of recognition.

It was heartbreaking and he was glad Ron and Mary Ann had brought Teddy into their family fold. Even Adam’s own parents were more than accepting of their relationship and welcomed Teddy as their future son-in-law.

He was lucky his parents weren’t judgmental and never had been. So, he couldn’t imagine being “shunned” by your own family for being true to yourself.

He would love to have a few words with Teddy’s parents but he knew it wasn’t worth alienating them any further. Honestly, he just didn’t give a shit about them. They would never change their ways or their views, which were narrow.

They might not want Teddy in their life but there were plenty of other people who did.

But now Teddy was feeling insecure about the secrets Adam was keeping. He was keeping those secrets for good reason.

He skimmed his lips from Teddy’s tattooed hip to his other one. Fingers pushed at the top of his head. Someone was being impatient.

If anyone should be, it should be Adam. He had to work later and hadn’t come home from last night’s shift until after midnight. So really, Adam shouldn’t be taking his time, they should be having a quickie. But, with the insecurity Teddy was experiencing right now, that might make it worse.

Because of that, he would take his time, settle his fiancé’s fears and then go back to sleep so he wasn’t dead on his feet tomorrow.

He nuzzled the manscaped hairs at the root of Teddy’s erection, took his soft sac into his mouth, heard a hiss come from above, while fingers dug into his scalp, and then he slowly licked up the underside of Teddy’s cock, ending at the slick head.

“Lover,” Teddy groaned as Adam hovered over the crown.

He tipped his eyes up to the man who was holding his breath in anticipation. He took T into his mouth, sucking him deep, tasting that familiar, salty precum on his tongue. Teddy’s hips rose slightly and Adam kept his eyes on him as the man threw his head back on his dead duck pillow and let out a ragged sigh.

He hadn’t done this in a while. Now he regretted it. He enjoyed pleasuring his fiancé since he got off on T getting off.

Forgetting to take care of Teddy like this was just proof Teddy was right, Adam had been distracted and not completely “there” in their relationship. Again, he had a good excuse but needed to not be so hyper-focused on not only him working toward becoming a detective, but his secret.

Even right now, he wasn’t concentrating one hundred percent on what he was doing. He sighed mentally and forced himself to focus.

He wrapped his fingers around the root and squeezed, then followed Teddy’s lead on how fast or slow he wanted.

“That’s it, lover,” Teddy moaned, his slim hips surging up.

Listening to T’s noises as Adam sucked him, made him rock hard and leak against the sheets.

Adam released him with a wet pop.

“What? No!” Teddy complained, his head shooting up off the pillow.

“Prep yourself because I’m going to make you come and as soon as I do, I’m taking what’s mine. This is your one and only warning.”

“Oh!” Teddy scrambled to dig into his nightstand, grabbing a bottle of lube and, with shaky hands, popped open the cap and squirted a generous amount on his fingers. “Careful. I don’t want to knee you in the face.”

Adam shifted enough to let Teddy access the area he needed to prep inside and out and, once he was done, he closed the cap and tossed it down near his hip in case Adam would need more. They no longer used condoms since they had both been tested before moving in together, and both agreed to test yearly for peace of mind. But they never went without lube. Though, in a pinch, they’d found some interesting alternatives to commercial lubricants.

As soon as Teddy settled back into place, Adam took him deep into his mouth again and on the upstroke, circled the tip with his tongue. On the down stroke, purposely, but gently, scraped his teeth over T’s sensitive head. His whole body jerked and Adam pinned him down to the bed with an arm over T’s waist and increased his pace, getting a bit more aggressive with his actions.

That action got the reaction he was hoping for. Which was Teddy losing his mind and forgetting all about his unneeded worry that Adam fell out of love with him or wasn’t attracted to him anymore. That was far from the truth.

“Lover...”

Adam smiled around T’s cock, which had gotten harder the closer he was to exploding.

“Adam, baby...”

Adam ignored the warnings and continued on his path to bring Teddy to orgasm.

“I...” Teddy whimpered. “Oh... I’m coming...”

That was the whole point, so it wasn’t a surprise. Adam didn’t let up, didn’t slow down, he kept the same pace until Teddy’s hips shot up and he cried out Adam’s name, who was glad he had short hair, otherwise T might have ripped out a large chunk of it as he came. His future husband’s cum coated his tongue and slid down his throat as he accepted all of it.

He didn’t even let Teddy come off the rush of his orgasm before Adam was spreading his fiancé’s thighs wide and pushing his knees back toward his slender chest, giving Adam the access he needed and wanted.

He moved until he was on his knees, slid his dick down T’s lubed crease until he found his target.

“Yes,” Teddy hissed. “Please...”

The crown of his cock slipped past the tight ring of muscle and he drove himself into his man, claiming him.

Reminding him of one reason they were together.

They fit. Their differences complemented each other. Even though their personalities were opposite, they somehow worked together.

Teddy kept him from being too serious and he kept T grounded. Only to a point, because he didn’t want to stifle Teddy’s zest for life. Or who he was.

It was Teddy being in Adam’s face and not letting himself be ignored that day at Marc and Leah’s wedding that made him consider T as a lover. As a friend. And eventually his partner in life.

Once Adam was deeply seated, he hesitated for only a second, just long enough to interlace his fingers with T’s and press their joined hands into the bed. Then he stared into his man’s jade-colored eyes. Eyes so expressive, Adam could pick up on Teddy’s mood easily just by reading them.

“Hey,” he whispered as he moved slowly in and out of T’s hot, slick canal, physically connecting the two of them. Now, he wanted to connect them mentally. To show his fiancé he had no reason to worry. Adam wasn’t going anywhere.

“Hey, handsome,” Teddy whispered back, his eyes getting shinier than they should during sex. This was supposed to be a happy moment, not a sad one.

“You’ve got no reason to worry.”

Teddy bit his bottom lip and nodded his head, but said nothing.
