Grown Enough For Love(24)

“You mean, you’ll clean up?” Savannah grinned now, holding onto Gabriel’s shoulders.

“Yes, kitten. I’ll clean up.” Savannah giggled and pulled Gabriel in for another earth-shattering kiss.

As he kissed her heatedly, rolling his tongue against hers, Gabriel worked at slipping off Savannah’s denim shorts. Once he’d gotten them to her knees, Savannah kicked them onto the floor and Gabriel kicked them behind him. Savannah’s hands worked at his jean buttons, but Gabriel was too impatient. With haste, Gabriel undid his pants and dropped them to the floor, kicking those out of his way, too.

Gabriel worked off Savannah’s panties as he wiggled his boxers off. Forgetting the only condom within reach was in his pants pocket, he pulled away to grab the wrapper out of his wallet. Grinning stupidly, he rushed back to where Savannah perched on the kitchen counter.

As soon as he had the condom on, Gabriel thrust himself into Savannah roughly. She cried out in a combination of pleasure and pain, bringing her knees in to squeeze Gabriel’s hips. As Gabriel began thrusting, harder and faster than he’d ever before, Savannah moaned loudly. She clung to Gabriel, with her arms wrapped around his neck.

“Oh, Gabriel!” Savannah cried out as his thrusts reached an intensity he didn’t even know he was capable of. Savannah had never screamed his name in bed like that, and the sexiness of it spurred him on. It was as though he never pulled back before thrusting himself deeper.

“Damn, you like that, don’t you kitten?” Gabriel panted as he pressed his face into Savannah’s throat.

“Mhmm…” Savannah bit her lip. Suddenly, her body tightened and she reached her climax. The feeling of her already tight muscles clenching around his cock brought Gabriel to his climax. Panting, he leaned his weight against Savannah even as she rested limply against him.

“Oh my God… that was amazing. I’ve never had sex quite like that before.” Savannah whispered the words, still breathless.

“You mean rough?” Gabriel felt Savannah nod. “Oh, damn, that’s my favorite kind.” He laughed against Savannah’s throat.

Savannah threw her arms and legs both around Gabriel and squeezed. “I love you, Gabe.” She kissed him in a purposefully exaggerated motion that made a loud smacking sound.

Gabriel laughed and hugged her back. “I love you, too, kitten.”

Gabriel helped ease Savannah off the kitchen counter and handed her clothes to her. After he’d slipped back into his clothes, Savannah glanced at him with a devilish look in her eyes. “And now you can clean up?”

Gabriel laughed. “Yeah, sure thing, Sav. I’ll clean up.” He walked over to kiss her once more before grabbing the disinfectant wipes. He knew Savannah would be happy with nothing less.

Savannah was ecstatic. Over the last two weeks, she’d gained three new clients for her digital marketing agency. One of them was a big client. They wanted daily blog posts, twice daily social media posts, and an entire website reboot. That meant steady money, good money.

Sarah had been working out perfectly as the new graphic designer. Her resume hadn’t lied – Sarah knew her stuff. One of the new clients had even been brought in by Sarah, and Savannah had offered her a small bonus for the referral.

Things couldn’t be going better for Savannah’s career, and things around the house had improved. Since their little argument, Gabriel and Savannah were working on communication. They learned it was especially important when they were both exhausted and frustrated.

Gabriel was in line for a promotion, himself. His manager at the landscaping company was retiring, and they wanted to promote from within. Gabriel put his name in, and Savannah hoped he got it. He’d been working hard at Dade City Landscaping for years now. Plus, the promotion came with a $2 an hour raise, and he’d get two weeks paid vacation every year. That would be great for them.

Not that they were joining their finances right now, of course. But Savannah knew if things got serious and they decided to continue living together, that would eventually happen. Her gains were his gains and vice versa. Savannah assumed Gabriel felt the same, but it wasn’t something they’d talked about. Still too early in the relationship for that.

Savannah was sitting at her desk, now positioned in the hallway, thinking about what the future might hold when she heard a knock on the door. She didn’t bother getting up to see who it was, because Savannah knew Gabriel was home today. It was Saturday, and he was in the living room playing with Rio.

“What are you doing here?” The voice was Gabriel’s, and the tone of it made Savannah’s skin crawl. Curious, she stood and peeked her head around the corner. She couldn’t see the person from her vantage point, so she walked further into the living area.

A woman’s voice answered Gabriel, but Savannah couldn’t quite make out what was being said. “Gabriel?” Savannah asked. “Who is it?”

Gabriel turned to face her with a look of disbelief and… fright?... on his face. Sighing, he was about to answer when the door banged open. When Savannah saw Marissa, her heart dropped.

Chapter 14

Gabriel couldn’t believe Marissa had the balls to come here. But, that was Marissa for you. “Papi, we need to talk.”

Gabriel shook his head. “What is there to talk about?”

“Us. I want to be a family again. I was wrong, Papi, and I’m sorry. Come on,” Marissa grabbed onto his arm and pouted her thick lips. “At least let me talk to you. I’m sure I can convince you of things.” She trailed a finger down Gabriel’s shirt… in front of Savannah.

Gabriel pushed away her finger and shrugged his arm to loosen her grip on it. Marissa sighed. Gabriel turned and looked at Savannah with helplessness. Savannah only stared. “Kitten, listen…”

“Why do you seem to care so much what she thinks?” Marissa asked. Then her eyes became knowing and she laughed. “Aye, Papi, you finally hit that?” She laughed, shaking her head. “Don’t worry, I don’t care you wanted to fool around a bit while I was gone.”

“Callete la boca, Marissa. Leave it alone. I didn’t ‘hit that.’ I wasn’t fooling around. I’m with Savannah.” Gabriel shook his head. “You think I’d wait around for almost a year? Raising our son while you screw half the town and then take off?”

“Aye, Papi, it wasn’t like that.” Marissa’s long black hair swayed as her head bobbed to her words.

She’d lost weight, but those curves were still there. Gabriel remembered what those curves felt like under his hands. How it’d felt when she let him come inside her when they’d made Rio. Marissa and him had history, but it was far from all good history. Marissa could be an absolute nightmare when she wanted to be, and you never knew when that would happen. Her moods changed like tides, sweeping in for seconds before allowing another to replace it.

Did Gabriel still have feelings for Marissa? The memory of her touch and the way it popped up so willingly shocked him. But he shook his head. “Tell me what it was then?”

Marissa smacked her lips together. “I don’t want to talk about this in front of everybody. Come outside, Papi.”
