“You don’t have to romance me,” I told him. “I came here to have sex with you, Anthony.”
“That’s very direct,” he said with a laugh.
“Most people just call me blunt. I have a tendency to say what’s on my mind.”
“I happen to like that in a woman,” he said.
“Then let’s get down to business.” I started walking back to the bedroom, losing clothing as I went.
By the time Anthony caught up to me, I was down to my bra and panties. I watched as his eyes went from my head to my feet and back up again.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you,” she said. “I thought you saw me here.”
“It’s fine and I didn’t see you. I’ll just leave you alone now,” I said, getting up to leave.
“Wait,” she said. “I wouldn’t mind the company, that is, if you want to stay.”
“Sure. I guess, I could use the company too. What’s your name?” I asked her, and went to sit beside her.
“Tiffany,” she told me. “And yours?”
“Bodie.”
“Well, Bodie, it’s nice to meet you. What brings you out here tonight?”
“Just needed somewhere to be that wasn’t the dorm.”
“Terrible roommate?” she asked.
“No, he’s not even going to be there. Just didn’t feel like being there I guess.”
“Broken heart?”
“No,” I said, with a small smile. “I don’t do relationships, so there’s no broken hearts here. What about you? Why are you out here all alone in the middle of the night?”
She laughed. “Midnight is hardly the middle of the night. And I’m out here because I’m in love with my best friend’s boyfriend.”
“Ouch. So did one of them find out?” I asked.
“No. It’s just hard watching them together all the time. Sometimes, I can push my feelings away but tonight wasn’t one of those times.”

“It sure does.”
“Want to talk about it?” I asked her.
“Not really. Do you want to talk about the real reason you’re out here?”

“Then let’s talk about something else,” she suggested. “What do you do for a living?”
“I’m a college student. You?”
“Full time college student and part time barista.”
“Bay State?”
“No, I couldn’t afford to go there. I go to the local community college.”
