Bound by Fate (Ravage MC Bound #9)(59)
Author: Ryan Michele

“Ensley and I were sitting here watching the door you guys went into. Then Deke, Ax and Raid were gone. Then Booker went down, and when I looked at the man who had the gun it was Danny. He smiled at me and blew me a kiss as he came towards the car. There was some sound in the SUV then he went underneath us. Both Ensley and I tried to get out, but the doors were locked in a way we couldn’t escape. Then he held his hands out and went BOOM… That’s when Ensley and I freaked.”

“Do you know what kind of car he was in?”

I was finding this motherfucker and pulling out every one of his teeth and nails before I killed him. Just like we did to Tommy and Teddie before we dropped their asses six feet beneath the dirt.

“A blue Chevy Cruz hatchback. I don’t know the plates.”

“Micah!” I called as he stood with Ensley at the SUV that Princess showed up in to take the girls home. Buzz showed up in another for whoever needed a ride.

We met him in the middle. “Computer. Need to find a blue Chevy Cruz hatchback. Now.”

Micah got my meaning.

“I’m gonna find him and end all of it. Go home. I’ll be there soon.”

“Don’t go,” Katie asked me.

“Do anything in the world for you, Wild Kat. But he’s a threat to you and this club. He will be eliminated.”

Katie stood on her tiptoes and kissed me. I took it deeper, needing her like I needed air.

“Fucker,” Micah said, elbowing me for attention. If we weren’t in the situation we were in at the moment, I would’ve punched him.

We broke away, and Micah put his computer on the hood of the SUV Buzz drove. “I’m mapping out all possible ways he could’ve went from this direction in the span of sixty minutes.”

“It hasn’t been an hour,” I told him.

“I know. Just tryin’ not to miss anything,” Micah responded as red lines started forming on his computer. “Need the computer in the back of my SUV,” He grumbled.

“I’ll get it.”

“It’ll take too long. Give me a second to find some street cams so I can follow him.”

Within sixty seconds Micah tagged the asshole.

“Let’s fuckin’ go,” I demanded, turning to Buzz. “Need this, Buzz, to get to the fucker who did this.”

Buzz nodded and tossed me the keys. Micah was shotgun and Cooper, Nox, and Ryker were on their bikes following.

Micah gave me directions as I flew through town, turning this way and that. It felt like forever when Micah finally said, “There!”

A flash of blue zoomed in front of us, and I took off like a shot. Danny was moving in and out of traffic like he wanted to be killed or something. That was my job, not some fucking car.

Our speeds increased higher and higher. Who would’ve thought that little car could go so fast.

The bikes took off, trying to get in front of the car but were unable too.

“Fuck this;” Micah said, opened his window, pulled out his gun, and fired several times. The back end had holes, but it was the tire that would slow him down.

Except it didn’t. Instead, he floored it, causing the car to hit a side ramp. It flipped over and over and over again, rolling down the road. The sound of glass shattering and metal crunching was all around us.

Making it to the car, I slammed the SUV in park and jumped out.

Danny was upside down, and the only thing holding him was his seat belt. He was covered in blood and barely breathing.

“You’re not dying on me, fucker. I want that.”

Danny actually chuckled but coughed a bit with blood coming from between his lips.

“He played you,” Danny choked out. “Fuckin’ almost had you too.”

“What the fuck are you talkin’ about?”

Danny coughed again and moaned in pain. Good. “He traded with you. I got Katie. Done deal.”

I punched him hard in the face, hearing bones crunch.

“How did you know my twin?” I asked, furious but needing to know.

Blood was starting to trickle out of his mouth, telling me he had internal injuries.

“My brother,” Danny answered.

“What, adopted?”

Danny laughed. “I’m not tellin’ you shit.”

I punched him again right in the nose, breaking it.

“Dry. Too many people watchin’. Cover me,” Micah told me as my anger was tipping over.

Micah reached in with a cloth, putting it over Danny’s face. It took a few seconds and the asshole was dead. I wanted more information out of him, but Micah was right. Too much attention was on us, and Danny had to go.

“Let’s get the fuck out of here before the cops show up.”

Just then the sounds of sirens could be heard in the distance.

I wanted to spit on him, but didn’t want to leave my DNA. Fuck him. And that fucking twin.

May they burn in hell forever.

“Foster brother.” Micah started as we sat at his kitchen table, his laptop open. There were things I needed to know. Danny didn’t give me the answers I needed to deal with this shit on my plate.

The asshole died faster than I liked, but he gave me a few things to work on.

“Keep goin’,” I told him.

“Daniel James Stevenson was in foster care for the first thirteen years of his life. There he met Robert David Mitchell, your fuckin’ twin.”

My damn twin. I still couldn’t wrap my head around that shit. A secret that exploded into a mess of hell and hurt my woman. More than once. I wished I’d been the one to pull that fucking trigger and put him six feet under.

Katie got that honor. I didn’t like how it happened, but I’m so fucking proud of how she defended herself. She’s such a fighter. She may not see it that way, but I do.

“Daniel thirteen and Robert fourteen ran from a state home in Illinois. No records of them for two years, but Robert got a job at McDonald’s at sixteen and stayed there about three years. Then he was in and out of jobs; at least legal ones that show up in government records.”

“What about illegal? Both of them have to have had a history with it.” Hell, they had to make money to survive. The easiest money had always been on the other side of the law. Considering the skills he had to acquire to pull the wool over the Ravage MC, Robert had to have learned it somewhere.

“Two arrests. One for assault and battery and one for burglary, but he skated off those.”

“How?”

Micah shook his head. “Court case was thrown out. He was only nineteen but had a high-priced lawyer. Cornerfull was his name. He’s known for being on the Delta Crosses’ payroll.”

“The gang in Chicago?” The Delta Crosses were one of the worst in the Midwest. Even to this day, they were on the news regularly. They run things dirty. As in they have no loyalty, not even to each other. They tend to turn on one another at the drop of a hat.

Stealing and one-upping each other at every turn.

“Yeah. I’m thinkin’ he was in it. Both he and Danny.”

Micah went to another site and pulled up some pictures. He pointed to the screen. “This is Robert. See the delta?” True enough there was triangle with a cross. The markings of a member.
