Dirty Truth : A High School Bully Romance(33)
Author: K. Walker

“I’ll figure it out, you know. You might as well just tell me whatever secret you’re trying to keep from me.”

I let out a sigh, then shut my locked and rolled my eyes. “I think you’re going crazy. How was Jaxson and Hunter last night?” I asked eager to change the subject.

Adrian giggled as she blushed. Then, she hooked her arm in mine as she led me toward our first class of the day. “Well, considering they were both still at my house this morning, I’d say they were pretty damned good!”

That had been the perfect subject to get her attention off me. I didn’t want to hear the intimate details of her sex life any more than I wanted to share the details of mine with her, but mercifully, she spared me the intimacies of what they’d gotten up to last night, focusing instead on her having to sneak them both out of the house before her parents woke up and saw their cars still parked outside.

I’d have been lying if I said it didn’t make me thankful Wes and I lived in the same house as each other. It certainly made sneaking around much easier. And yet, somehow, Adrian had managed to get not one but two lovers out of her house without anyone discovering what she’d been up to while I’d gotten busted only minutes after Wes and I had finished up last night.

It was hard not to be just a little bit bitter about that part. I doubt Adrian and her guys had paraded naked through the halls of her house, though, which I still firmly blamed Wes for. Him and I were going to have to have a discussion about the importance of subtly since he didn’t even know the definition of the word.

And, in case I was on the fence about that fact, he proved it to me at lunch. Adrian and I had been sitting with Sebastian and his friends like we did every single day when Wes had walked over, Jaxson and Hunter in tow. Everyone watched as he set his food on the table next to mine.

Before I could tell him there was no way we could fit three more chairs at the table, Wes scooped me up out of the chair I’d been sitting in and sat down himself. Then, he settled me down onto his lap. I sat there in dumbfounded silence, unable to believe he’d just done that.

It wasn’t until Hunter did the same thing to Adrian, with Jaxson pulling up an extra chair next to them, that I finally snapped out of my daze. I turned and glared at Wes, fighting back the urge to slap him again. “What are you doing?” I hissed, keenly aware of everyone in the cafeteria watching us now.

Wes sitting at a different table on its own would’ve been enough to get everyone’s attention. The fact that he’d just scooped me up and put me in his lap on top of it? God, the entire school, was going to know about us before the end of the day. I just knew it.

“What?” he asked, trying and failing to look innocent. “Am I not allowed to eat lunch with my girlfriend?”

I continued to glare at him. We still hadn’t discussed exactly what our relationship was. And yet, hearing him call me his girlfriend certainly made my heart flutter. I really liked the sound of that, no matter how badly I wanted to deny it.

And it was one thing for him to call me his girlfriend. It was another for him to expect me to spend lunch sitting on his lap. That screamed we were more than just boyfriend and girlfriend. Even if it didn’t confirm anything, everyone would assume we were sleeping together.

God, I wanted to kill him right there in the cafeteria. Subtle was most definitely not something he seemed even remotely capable of. I couldn’t for the life of me imagine why Lucas would ever trust Wes with a secret, especially one that was supposed to be so important.

It was a small wonder we didn’t already have cartels lined up outside the house to get to me.

“I hate you so much,” I grumbled, still glaring at him. On my right, Adrian sat happily in Hunter’s lap, enjoying her lunch like that was how she ate every single day. God, I wished I could be as laid back and easy-going as she was. The heat in my cheeks left me no doubt I was still blushing, especially since I could still feel everyone’s eyes on me.

When I glanced over at Sebastian on my other side, he was snickering as he looked at his pizza. Unable to stop myself, I reached out and smacked him on the back of the head.

“Ow! What’d I do?” he whined.

“That’s for thinking any of this is amusing,” I told him. Then I leaned forward to look at Todd on the other side of him and gave him a warning look. “And don’t think I won’t walk over there and smack you, too.”

Todd’s eyes went wide as he quickly turned his gaze toward his own pizza. He knew as well as I did his brother wasn’t going to come to his aid if I decided he needed a good walloping too. Besides, he was too busy making flirty eyes with Adrian to even notice.

When I looked back at Wes again, he was still grinning at me. “You and I are going to be having a very long conversation tonight,” I declared, which just made him grin, so I elbowed him in the ribs. “And I do mean a conversation. One, I’m not sure you’re going to like very much.”

I turned back to my lunch and tried to ignore the rather large bulge pressed into my backside. I wasn’t sure who I was annoyed with more - Wes for thoroughly enjoying having me on his lap or me for actually enjoying being on his lap. The longer I sat there though, the larger that bulge grew, and the harder it became to ignore it.

Adrian switched over to Jaxson’s lap after a few minutes, and then bounced between the two of them for the rest of lunch, clearly enjoying the attention from the guys. If she even noticed the rest of the cafeteria watching us, she didn’t show any signs of it.

God, I really wished I’d been able to ignore the constant looks. I could only imagine what everyone was saying about the two of us. The rumor mill was no doubt in full effect, and if I had to guess, I’d say the news was already spreading beyond the confines of the cafeteria, too, judging by the number of people glancing at us with their phones in hand.

The only good part about spending lunch on Wes’s lap were the constant glares coming from Paisley. She was still sitting at Wes’s usual table with her little group of cheerleaders and the other wrestlers. Even though she had practically an entire table full of attractive guys she could’ve been flirting with, she spent the entire time looking pissed off.

So maybe it wasn’t all bad, I thought with a grin as I shifted in Wes’s lap, feeling his hardness still pressed against me. The uniform slacks he had to wear sure didn’t do much to hide it, and now I knew just why Paisley had always enjoyed sitting on his lap so much.

I also knew why they always disappeared together near the end of lunch, too, though if Wes thought that was going to happen with me; he was in for quite a shock. I may not have been a virgin anymore, but I still wasn’t going to go for a bathroom stall hookup. Or the back of his car. Or the band closet or whatever other semi-private space he used to use for his hookups.

But I wasn’t going to lie; I certainly spent the rest of the day thinking about him, remembering just how good it’d felt to have him inside me. It’d been so tempting to hang out after school ended to wait for him, but I figured sitting in the gym watching him wrestle in his singlet wasn’t going to do much for my already overactive imagination.

Plus, I had homework to do, and I figured it would be best if I took care of it before Wes got home.

He came to my bedroom and leaned against the doorway, still dressed in his singlet with everything on display. God, it was so hard not to lick my lips at the sight of him. Whoever had invented the singlet deserved some kind of award because holy shit!
