ALAN (MEMBERS FROM MONEY SEASON TWO, #40)(20)
Author: Katie Dowe

“You saw how he was when we were leaving darling.” She settled back against the pillows. “I will give him a few days before I approach him. I know that something is bothering him, and I need to find out what it is.”

“In the meantime, can we stop talking about our son concentrate on us?”

“Gladly,” She whispered as she put her hands around his neck and drew him down to her.

“It’s Flight 105.” Alan paced the length of the living room, a frown on his brow. “It was supposed to have arrived at five and it’s now almost six thirty. Can you tell me what’s going on? Yes, it’s a private charter flight.” He listened for a moment. “Bad weather…? Do you know what time the flight will get here?” he listened again, dragging his fingers through his hair. “It’s there now?” He closed his eyes in relief. “Thank you.”

He walked over to the liquor cabinet and poured himself a full glass of bourbon, his hand shaking slightly as he brought the glass to his lips. He had slept well last night. After he had climaxed and made sure she did the same, he had been unable to go to sleep. Not only that, he was depressed about his parents way of thinking. It had not bothered him very much in the past because he had never been involved with anyone like Athena before. He had always known that he was troubled by racial injustice and had joined a few organized protests while he was in college, but things had changed drastically for him now. He was in love with a black woman, so in love with her that he couldn’t function without her. Even if it meant giving up everything, he would have to do it because being without her would mean that he no longer wanted to live. But he also loved his parents and being estranged from them would break his heart. He sipped the bourbon as he sat on one of the sofas. He had rushed home from work because he knew that she was due to arrive at five. When he had not heard from her, he had panicked and wondered if something had gone wrong. He was not even able to take the chance to go to the airport to meet her. There would be press there and if they got wind of what she means to him, it would be all over the papers. He was beginning to see what Athena was talking about. The secrecy was killing him!

He heard the door opening and without finishing his drink, he put the glass down and rushed to the door. As soon as she walked in and dropped her bags, he pulled her into his arms and crushed her against him, breathing in her scent. Athena felt him crushing her but did not move out of his embrace. The flight had been bumpy and extremely long and all she had wanted to do was to hear his voice.

“I am crushing you,” he murmured as he buried his face into her neck.

“It’s okay,” her hands raced over his back and felt the muscles clenched and relaxed. “It was an experience, but I am here now.”

He released her then, his blue wandering over her face. “I was worried,” his hands came up to frame her face.

“I am here now.”

“I know I cannot stop you from traveling….”

“I am not going on another plane without you.” She vowed.

His eyes flared at that. “I can’t hold you to that my love.”

“I am holding myself to it.” She took his hand and led him upstairs. Halfway up the stairs, he took her into his arms and carried her up the rest of the way, putting her down on the side of the bed and taking off her shoes. She had worn a faded denim and a thin red cashmere sweater. The weather in the Bahamas had been humid because of the impending storm but as soon as she touched on US soil, she had felt the cold biting into her jacket. She had called her mother while she was in the car coming to the loft and promised her that she would come and see her tomorrow at the shop. The shoot had gone very well, and they had been given time to rest up for the next week. She had a few minor commercials she had to do but that was in the next two weeks. She intended to spend the next week or so being a wife to her husband.

“I love you,” he whispered as he took off his clothes and stood before her. Her heart-rate spiked as she gazed at the rippling chest with the furrows of dark blonde hair before going down to the full sex.

“I see you are ready!” She whispered as she took off the sweater and bra.

“Aren’t I always where you are concerned?” He helped her with her zipper and the clasp, working the pants down her hips and her legs, dropping it onto the carpeted floor. The cranberry colored lace that covered her sex was so revealing that he saw everything. “I like this.”

“Hmm,” Athena eased back against the pillows. “It’s one of the many that you ordered for me. Brand new too.”

“I have good taste.” He put his fingers into the waistband and pulled down the flimsy material over her hips, discarding of it the same way he had done with the jeans. His cock was straining, but he was determined to concentrate on her. Lifting her long legs, he wrapped them around his trim waist and eased her bottom towards him. He cupped her breasts, groaning as he felt the pebble like nipples at his fingertips. “You have no idea how much I missed you – missed this.”

“I have a pretty good idea.” She moaned as he teased the tight buds. “Alan….”

“Yes darling?” bending his head, he took a nipple inside his mouth and started to suckle. A cry escaped her as he reached between them to tease the swollen flesh, rubbing his thumb over it. The minute he dipped his fingers inside her, she exploded, her body jerking towards his – the tremors racing along her spine. Lifting his head, he took her lips with his and shoved her towards the headboard before climbing in and on top of her. “I cannot wait!” He told her thickly as he eased into her. Rubbing his forehead against hers, he tried to even his breathing before plunging into her, the climax coming swift and brutal and taking him by surprise.

Chapter 8

“Darling you are here!” Debra Blakely greeted her daughter enthusiastically as she rushed from behind the counter and met her halfway with a hug. “Let me look at you.” She held her at arm’s length, taking in the faded denims, the thin cashmere sweater the color of ripe plums and the obviously expensive jacket she was wearing. Large silver hoops were at her lobes and diamonds at the ones above that. She was not wearing any makeup except the strawberry lip gloss. “You look stunning! And there is something different about you.”

“Mom you saw me last week.” Athena protested as she allowed her mother to lead her towards her tiny office after telling her assistant to take over. Athena had slept in after Alan had left and had gotten up at noon to make something to eat. She had called him as she was leaving the loft.

“Don’t bother cooking tonight. I will pick something up when I am coming home.” He had told her.
