Brutus(28)
Author: Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

“Oh, Colel…” he groaned.

Colel? Fucking Colel? Fina snapped her hand away lest she be tempted to rip off his manhood. That sonofabitch! Colel? He was dreaming of the bee lady?

Fina put his cock away, wiped her hand on the corner of the blanket, and got up. In this moment, she wanted to kick that smug, sleepy grin off his fucking face!

Fina went into the small bathroom to wash up. She hadn’t seen this coming—no pun intended—but she should have. I’m so ridiculous. Colel had been Brutus’s mate. His mate! She’d seen the way he looked at the tall, statuesque blonde—with those perfect perky tits and long legs.

I am a fool to think he could switch it off and just want me, only me, a handful of hours later.

While her mother might be a loon, perhaps she had been right about one thing: Men were poison to the mind. They made you weak.

Never again.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

When Brutus woke, the plane had already touched down at the Uchben base outside Sedona. He must’ve been exhausted from the past weeks’ events, because all he remembered was closing his eyes and then, boom. They were here.

Also, he’d had something very strange happen. A wet dream? Really? It must be Fina’s presence and the state of permanent arousal she provoked. He’d dreamed that Fina and Colel were fighting over his penis, and no matter how many times he told Colel he didn’t want her, she kept trying to grab him anyway. “Oh, Colel… It’s just not going to happen,” he said.

To which she replied, “But I haven’t released you yet.”

“Only Fina can do that! Stop touching me.”

It was a very strange dream, and when he woke, he had a little stain on his pants. I wonder how it got on the outside. Luckily, he was wearing camo, so no one would notice. I bet Fina will find it very amusing, though.

He smiled and looked around the cargo area with the huge open hatch in the back. Most of the women were outside standing on the tarmac, gathered around Cimil, who was giving directions to the prison and introducing them to one of the guards. The women appeared to be clawing at the poor man like a piece of meat, but that particular immortal was Andrus, an ex-assassin. He was mated to a half-succubus named Sadie and was only filling in to help out.

“Stop touching my pecs. That tickles,” Andrus said, angry giggling.

Brutus would be laughing and going over to fuck with Andrus, but Fina was nowhere to be found. Brutus checked the bathroom, the cockpit, and the immediate surroundings.

Brutus left the hold. It was a beautiful morning with blue skies for miles. Just perfect to romance his warrior princess. “Hey, Cimil. Have you seen Fina?”

“Oh, yeah. She was the first to get off.” Cimil looked down at his pants. “Make that the second. I think I saw her head into the prison with a pack of randy she-warriors out for a good shag.”

“Fina? Are you sure?” he asked.

Cimil nodded. “Yeah. They were all screaming about getting some wood.”

That’s odd. Why wouldn’t Fina wait for him? They were supposed to get married and then have their romantic event back at his place. He honestly couldn’t wait to be alone with her.

“Thank you. If you see her, let her know I’m looking for her.”

Cimil gave him a look that made his blood run cold.

“What?” he asked.

“Nothing…” She smiled sadistically.

“Cimil,” he said sternly, “I have always been a loyal servant in your army. I have never interfered with your schemes and head trips, but if you know something, I beg you to tell me. If what you say is true, and we only have a few hours left, I deserve to spend them with the woman who changed my life.”

“Oh…Bootius Maximus.” She shook her head and tsked. “You know, they don’t make ’em like you anymore—young, dumb, and hung—minus the young and dumb.”

Huh?

She went on. “I am sorry to inform you that the happy ending—aka, giant cum-dump fest—you were planning for this evening just ain’t gonna happen.”

He frowned in confusion. “First of all, I planned to make love to her tonight, not dump my cum on her, in her, or anywhere in her proximity. Second, I find your choice of words to be offensive. Third, why won’t it happen?”

Cimil chuckled and then stopped, bent over and moaned. “Oh! Oh! It’s happening!”

“Now? You’re giving birth now?” he asked.

“Call Roberto for me, wuddja?” She unzipped one of the tent pockets and produced a cell phone.

He hated to do this to a pregnant woman, but Cimil was truly a rotten red apple. “Not until you tell me what’s wrong with Fina.”

Cimil moaned. “Three!”

“Three? I don’t understand. What does that mean?”

Cimil winced. “The number of seconds until Minky arrives… Oh gods! Oh gods.”

He didn’t understand.

“One, two…”

Boom! The sky opened up as if someone had sliced through it with a giant knife, exposing the stars and darkness beyond the sun’s reach.

Brutus, Andrus, and some of the warrior women still lurking around fell back. Cimil fell forward on her hands and knees.

Brutus blinked, trying to register the enormous blurry figure with fire for eyes shooting toward them like an asteroid. Dear gods! The flames licked around Minky’s body, allowing him to see the shape and very recognizable horn. What is wrong with her?

At first he thought the creature had come to help Cimil, but no. It headed straight for an empty spot on the tarmac. Whatever the target, a ball of fire burst into the air and began swirling like a fiery tornado.

What in the world? He’d never seen anything like it.

“Brutus!” Cimil groaned. “Call Roberto!”

He got to his feet and helped Cimil up, which wasn’t easy considering the situation and the ten-man tent she wore.

“What is that thing? What is happening?” he asked.

“Just Minky finding her mate, ending the plague.” She groaned. “Who cares…Aah! They’re coming out.”

Brutus’s head was spinning. “Are you being serious right now? The plague is over?”

“Yes! Yes!” Cimil barked, wincing and holding her hands over her enormous stomach. “The whole thing was because Minky was sangry!”

“Sangry?”

“Yeah!” Cimil screamed. “It’s like hangry, but for sex!”

“Get the hell out.” Why hadn’t Cimil said so? Then again, who was he kidding? Cimil never said anything. She called it “spoiling the surprise.” Also, she really lived for these moments when utter chaos suddenly resolved itself in the blink of an eye under the guise of fate. In other words, she justified her lies with the excuse of: It couldn’t have worked out for the best had I told you all what was happening.

“It’s really over? Everything’s back to normal?” he asked.

Cimil shoved her phone at him, pregnant rage shooting from her eyes.

“Fine. I’ll call.” He grabbed it and started looking for the number. “I don’t see Roberto.”

“It’s under Mummy Knob.”

“Ah.” He found the name and dialed.
