Darlin' Don't Leave Me(45)
Author: Crystal Bella

“Something’s different about you sweetheart, I don’t know what, but something isn’t the same.” I smile at him because it’s the only thing I can do and attempt to not look guilty.

“Are we going out tonight?” I ask him, deliberately changing the subject. He is still looking into my eyes I can see he wants to argue some more but I see the point when he must decide to leave it.

“I thought we could go out for dinner, did you bring something nice to wear?” I can’t contain the excitement I feel at seeing him, I didn’t realise I had missed him this much.

“I did. You know you’re going to make quite a scene; people are not used to seeing cowboys around these parts.” He laughs loudly and starts washing my hair with the hotel stuff, I don’t argue because it smells nice and I’m enjoying the contact with him.

After washing my hair he starts to wash my body and I release my hands and start washing his hair trying to distract him, it works. After I have washed his hair I feel his once again hard cock trying to gain entry in my pussy.

“Are you insatiable or something?” I ask him, he laughs but continues to seek entry, eventually picking me up and wrapping my legs around him.

“When I’m around you I turn back into a horny 18-year-old and I have a lot of time to make up.” He proceeds to fuck me nice and hard against the shower wall, this time he doesn’t grab my boobs as he’s using both his hands to take my weight, thankfully.

“I went so long without this, are you close? Please be close cause I’m about to come deep inside you.” Fortunately for him I’m there, I scream my release and hug him tightly.

“I’ve missed you babe.” I tell him, probably the most honest words I’ve ever spoken to him.

“Are you keeping something from me?” He asks me directly, eyes full of suspicion.

“Of course not, why would you say that?” He doesn’t answer me, he just shakes his head and lets me down. I turn away from him and quickly wash myself before getting out before him and grabbing a towel and wrapping it around me, it’s turning into a bit of a charade.

He suggests going for a walk into town, I walk with him hand in hand along the promenade. Which is quite pretty and romantic. I point out different landmarks and show him a couple of places I used to hang out when I was younger. He causes commotion wherever we go and people openly stare at him.

Fortunately, the restaurant we’re going to is attached to the hotel, it’s probably the best around so he agrees to eat there later. We head back to the hotel and get ready to go out for dinner. When Kenni is in the shower my mum phones and I tell her what happened, she is shocked but assures me the boys are fine, I tell her I’ll be back in the morning.

At dinner he fills me in on everything that has been happening on the ranch, he really has thrown himself into work, he speaks passionately about it and tells me his dad has pretty much handed control of it over to him and Jed.

I tell him about my job, well the few months I was doing it and what’s going on with my family, I think he was a little disappointed not to meet them but masked it well.

He is quite tired and knowing he has a long drive tomorrow we head to bed fairly early, we don’t make love we just cuddle up together spooning and talking. We both fall asleep eventually.

During the night he rolls me over and makes love to me, the lights are off so I can relax, he has my legs pushed back to my shoulders and is hitting me really deep, we come together and then fall back to sleep.

I wake up fairly early to an empty bed, glancing around, I know instantly that he is not in the room, looking around I see a note next to my bed, tears creep down my face as I read it aloud.

My darlin Lucille

Sorry but I couldn’t stand saying goodbye to you this morning, it hurts too much. I know you are not ready to come home yet but please don’t leave it too long. I have left you a traveller’s check for £30,000 please cash it in, I have also left you a credit card should you need to use it, the pin is 3435. Could you please use the credit card to settle the bill at the hotel? I’ll call you as usual on Sunday, thanks for yesterday and last night, I love you so much baby.

Your ever patient husband

Kenni XX

Looking down at the bed side table I see the cheque and the American express credit card with my name on it, Mrs Lucille Bennet. I’m flabbergasted, I can’t believe he left without saying a proper goodbye.

I suddenly know exactly how he felt last year when I left him. Quickly getting dressed, I gather my belongings and head to reception to check out. It’s the same receptionist as yesterday and she looks at me smugly, obviously noticing that I’m on my own.

“Sorry my husband, Mr Bennet had to leave earlier than expected so I’ll settle what’s owed if that’s ok, here’s my credit card.” She looks it over thoroughly, obviously clocking my name on the card as final confirmation that he was indeed my husband and loses the smile of her face.

“Could you add on £100 for a tip and see that they get it shared between the restaurant staff and the cleaners please.” I deliberately leave her out and she looks gutted. The payment goes through without issue and I make my way home.

It’s still fairly early, early enough that everyone will still be at home when I get back to my parents.

When I walk in I can hear the boys in the kitchen, they are in the play pen attempting to crawl around, everyone looks up at me when I enter, I grab a mug and make myself a coffee.

“Well, where is he then?” My dad asks, looking through the kitchen door, expecting Kenni to suddenly appear.

“He’s gone, he had to get back to run the ranch he was only ever going to stay one night” It hurts when I say it out loud.

“He flew all the way here to spend one night with you on your wedding anniversary?” My dad once again.

“Yep.” Is the only thing I can say.

“I have to say Luci, I’m having trouble finding any faults with the man.” I raise my cup of coffee to take a swig and I make my mum gasp, she grabs hold of my hand, looking at my wedding rings, a huge smile comes across her face.

“I like this man more and more, he finally got his rings back on your finger then?” I have to laugh because it did seem to please him putting them back on me. I show them to my dad and Caleb.

“He’s phoning as usual on Sunday.” I don’t know why I added that piece of information.

“But he still doesn’t know he’s a father to those two boys, he was probably stood about half a mile from his sons yesterday and he never met them?” I understand where he is coming from but I still don’t want to hear it.

“Dad please.” He drops the subject and I give them another piece of information for them to worship him further.

“He also left me a traveller’s cheque for £30,000 and an American Express credit card with no limit.” This gets everyone’s attention.

“I’m sorry Luci but I’m really failing to see why you spend so much time running away from this man.” Once again my dad and his cut throat wisdom.

“He does seem like a proper gentlemen Luci.” My mum adds her two pennies worth.

“I know, I am going back to him I’m just not sure when.” This should pacify them.

“May I suggest sooner rather than later before someone else makes a move on him and he’s asking you for a divorce.” I worry about this on a daily basis.
