To My Dad's Hot Best Friend (The Inappropriate Bachelors #8)(23)
Author: J. S. Cooper

“I don’t want another man fucking you.”

“I’m not going to fuck another man, Sam. I’m not that sort of person.”

“But you’ll let another man go down on you?”

I sighed. “Does it really matter?”

“Yes. That pussy is mine. Do you hear me? I don’t want any other man going down on you or fucking you now that I’m in your life.”

“Fine. So does that mean your cock’s off-limits, as well?”

He growled into the phone. “Shelby, don’t play games with me.”

“I’m not, Sam. But what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Just remember that.”

Chapter Sixteen

“Hey, Ann,” I picked up my phone as I walked up to my parents’ front door. “What’s up?”

“I was just calling to make sure that you’re going to be at the party tonight. I told Matt you were going to be there.”

“I’ll be there. It’s cool. I’m just getting to my parents’ house now. I can’t imagine dinner’s going to last very long. What time’s the party?”

“It’s at seven-thirty.”

“Yeah, I’ll be there in plenty of time. Who all’s going to be there?”

“I think it’s going to be Matt, Justin, Brian—you know, those guys.”

“Cool.” I thought about Brian with his thick shoulders and hefty muscles and bright blue eyes. Maybe I’d flirt with him tonight.

“I’m really excited that we’re going to get to hang out again, Shelby,” Ann sounded excited. “Matt said he couldn’t believe that you were free tonight.”

“Yeah, well, you know, I figure I haven’t seen them in a while.”

“I think Matt is so dishy,” she continued. “You’re not going to go after him, are you?”

“Don’t worry,” I said. “I’m not interested in that.” Now that I knew she was interested in Matt, I wouldn’t flirt with him. I didn’t want to be one of those girls.

“Okay. I just wanted to make sure because I kind of was hoping, well, you know.”

“Girl, go for your man if you want him. Out of those guys, I think Brian is the dishiest.”

“Oh yeah, he’s really good-looking,” she giggled. “And I heard he has an enormous penis.”

“Oh yeah?” I paused outside my parents’ front door. “By enormous, you mean…?”

“I’m talking nine inches,” she said. “At least that’s what Sarah said.”

“Sarah who?”

“Sarah Greenery.”

“Oh, okay.” Sarah Greenery had been with a lot of guys. She knew her penises. Huh, maybe I was interested in seeing Brian and his penis. But not really. I’d only told Sam I was still interested in flirting around with guys because he’d made me mad, but I wasn’t really. You couldn’t be with a man like Sam and then settle for someone like Brian, even if he did have a big cock. It was like having filet mignon and then trying to tell yourself that ground turkey was just as good. It just didn’t work that way.

“Anyways, I’m here. I’ll see you later. Okay, Ann?”

“Bye, Shelby,” she said, and we hung up.

I knocked on the door and then pushed it open. “Hey, Mom, Dad, I’m here.”

I walked into the house and looked around. I knew Mom would have something to say about my outfit, which was short shorts and a crop top, but I didn’t care. It was hot, and I wanted to be comfortable.

“We’re at the back, Shelby. Come on through!” Mom called out. “And we have a guest.”

“Yay,” I said, rolling my eyes, wondering which one of my parents’ annoying friends would be there. They all asked the same things: are you dating anyone? What? You’re not dating anyone? When are you going to get married? When are you going to start a family?

As if the only thing I’ve gone to college for was my missus degree.

“Hey, Mom,” I said as I walked into the kitchen, a big smile on my face, then I froze when I saw Sam sitting at the table drinking beer with my dad. Sam’s eyes widened. He looked as shocked as I felt.

My dad stood up. “Hey, there, doll. How have you been?”

“Hey, Dad,” I said as I walked over to him and gave him a hug. “Hey, Sam,” I gave him a little wave.

“Go and give Sam a hug,” My dad patted me on the shoulder. “It’s been a long time since you’ve seen him.”

“Yep, it has been too long,” I said with a small smile.

Sam stood up and gave me a peck on the cheek. I pulled him into a hug and made sure I pushed myself into his crotch.

“Hi, Sam,” I said, staring at him with wicked eyes. “How have you been?”

“Fine. Thank you. I didn’t know that you were going to be here tonight.”

“I didn’t know you were going to be here tonight, either,” I said, pulling away. “Hey, Mom.” I gave her a hug. “Is it just us, then?

“Yes. We thought it would be a small, early dinner. Dad was talking to Sam about possibly going golfing, but it was so hot today.” She looked me up and down. “As I can see you realize from your attire.”

“What, Mom?” I said.

“Well, could those shorts be any shorter? What are those college guys are going to think?”

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with them. Right, Dad?” I said with a smile.

“I don’t know.” My dad didn’t even look up from his beer.

“Sam, what do you think?” I said, grinning at him. He looked at me and then his gaze fell to my short shorts. I placed my hand on my ass and squeezed. “I mean, there’s nothing wrong with a little jiggle-jiggle, right?”

“Oh, honestly, Shelby, really?” Mom scolded. “Please ignore her, Sam. Now that she’s in college, she thinks that she’s a big girl.”

“Um, I’m a woman now, Mom.”

“You think you’re a woman, but—”

“Don’t you think I’m a woman, Sam?”

“I don’t really have anything to say.” He shrugged awkwardly.

“Can I have a beer, Mom?” I walked over to the fridge and opened it.

“I guess you can have one,” she said.

“Thanks.” I grabbed a beer and then went to the table and sat down. “So, what’s for dinner?”

“I made a nice pot roast,” my mom said, “with some mashed potatoes and some broccoli and carrots.”

“Sounds good.”

“And some apple pie. And I got your favorite vanilla ice cream.”

“Um, cool. I don’t know that I’m going to have apple pie, but—”

“You love apple pie and ice cream,” Mom said, frowning. “Since when don’t you like it?”

“Well, since I don’t want to be a fat-ass, Mom.”

“Darling, you’re not going to be a fat-ass, as you say it.”

“Plus, didn’t you say that the men like a little jiggle-jiggle?” Sam shot me a sly grin, and it was my turn to glare at him.
