He looked at his watch. “I think I am,” he said. “Thank you so much for a marvelous meal. I had a great time.”
My mom looked disappointed. “Oh, we were hoping you could stay a little bit longer.”
“Next time,” he said. “I just remembered that I have a date this evening.”
“A date?” My father looked interested. “Don’t tell me—a hot young blonde.”
“I think that she would fit that category,” Sam replied.
“Does she know she has a date with you?” I asked.
“She is always available when I call,” Sam said.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” I said. “Anyway.” I walked over to my dad and gave him a hug. “Love you. See you later.”
“Love you, too.”
“Bye, Mom,” I said giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.
“Bye, Shelby. Come next week?”
“I’ll see,” I said. I leaned over and gave Sam a big hug. “It was so nice seeing you, Sam. Hopefully, I’ll see you soon.”
“Yes, I agree,” he said hugging me back tighter. He let go after a couple of seconds, and I felt slightly cold without his touch. His body had felt warm and hard next to mine, and I shivered thinking about the things he’d done to me in the bedroom. “Not so fast, Shelby,” Sam said with a smile. “I’ll walk you to your car.”
“Okay. Thanks,” I said. We headed towards the front of the house and then closed the front door behind us.
“What the hell do you think you’re playing at, Shelby?” Sam looked at me, his eyes furious.
“What?” I said, innocently.
“You asked your parents what they’d think of you dating me?”
“I was just curious what they think if I was dating someone your age. Not you in particular.”
“You’re really playing with fire, Shelby. Are you trying to get us in trouble?”
“Um, you’re the one that fucked me, Sam.”
“Yeah, because you’re the one that came on to me.”

“Well, you’re not.” He shook his head. “You shouldn’t be bringing up our sexual exploits in front of your parents when you know full well that them finding out is the last thing either one of us would want.”

He sighed. “You know this is complicated.”

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?”
“Um, you know where I’m going. I’m going to a party.”
“No, you’re not. You’re coming back to my place.”
I started laughing. “Really? You think after you just told me off and said I was immature that I’m going to come back to your place?”
“I don’t think,” he said. “I know.”
“Yeah. Okay, Sam. You might be able to get away with that with other women, but I’m not someone that you can boss around.”
“I’m going to enjoy spanking your ass tonight,” he said in a low voice.
The confident, slightly menacing tone of his voice sent a shiver of desire through me, but I just smirked at him. “Um, you can enjoy it in your dreams, because I won’t be there.”
“You want to bet?” He stared into my eyes and took a step closer. “I’m going to yank that long blonde hair of yours so hard tonight, you’re going to be screaming my name.”

“We told each other?” I stared at him for a few seconds. “Or you told me?”

“No,” he said. “Now get in the car. Go to that party. Spend no more than an hour there and then get to my place.”
