Were all sitting around the kitchen table the next morning, things have calmed down a lot from last night when emotions were running really high. I yawn for about the tenth time, Kenni looks across at me and winks before Jed pipes up.

“Well I’m guessing you’re here on a tourist visa at the moment?” Crap I hadn’t thought about that.

“Well I don’t think we’ll have a problem getting citizenship for the kids, they are mine after all, you may be a little trickier, were going to have to get my name on their birth certificates, I don’t suppose you brought them with you?” I jump up and retrieve them out of my handbag.
“Actually if you are married in England you can name the father in their absence if you have your marriage certificate or in our case licence.”
“Please tell me you did that?” He closes his eyes and pinches his nose with his fingers and I swear I can see him saying a prayer.
“Open them up and see.” He slowly opens them and reads all three of them and his smile just gets bigger and bigger.
“Well it’s official, I have three children. Kenni Emmett Bennet, Teddy Caleb Bennet and Betsy Ruby Bennet are officially my children. This makes things so much easier babe, seeing it in black and white is weird.”
“Did you have any doubt? The twins are your carbon copy.” Scarily like him.
“No as soon as they jumped out of the back of the car I knew they were mine, not sure about Betsy though she look’s nothing like me at all.” The arsehole is laughing.
“Guess she must be the milkman’s then.” His face drops instantly.
“Don’t joke about shit like that babe, I’ll book us in to see the lawyer sometime next week.” Just as quick as it began that the conversation is over with.
“When is this surprise party that Christie is throwing then?” I fail to hide my distain for the woman.
“Luci don’t be like that, I told you she’s harmless and to answer your question it’s actually this Saturday night, mom could you have the kids.” I’m just about to argue but Annett jumps in.
“Of course I can, I can’t wait, no need to come back early.” She’s beaming.
“Do I have to go? I won’t know anyone there.” Kenni sighs loudly.
“It won’t look very good if my wife is not with me babe, I would like you to come and I want to show off my gorgeous wife is that so bad?” Just like that he’s won the argument.
“Ok, do you think Jessica and Jake will be there?” I ask him.
“I think it’s highly likely, Jake is the same age as us.”
“Ok I’ll go, but only because you called me gorgeous but let it be known for the record, I do not like that woman.” I lean across and kiss his nose it seems like we have turned a corner in our lives and all the shit has been forgotten. A thought springs to mind.
“I need to go shopping then.” I look up to see Kenni was just about to put a mouthful of food in his mouth but has frozen in time, looking completely panicked.
“More shopping, really?” He gives me his pleading eyes.

“Luci they are my flesh and blood, do you think I would let them go without? Don’t you think I should pay for my own children, I can’t believe you would think I expect you to pay me back or that I would even take it? I’ll take the check back because all of my money is also yours, but you need to get used to being rich baby.” He air kisses me then gulps down the rest of his coffee, he makes to leave before kissing me properly and then moves on to Betsy, then the twins and then his mum.
