Shattered Souls(86)
Author: B C Morgan

“I know, but you shouldn’t have to kiss me if you don’t want to.” I chew on my cheek, as he hits pause.

“Neither should you, but you don’t see me apologizing for it.” He’s so cavalier about the whole thing. Then again, I wasn’t the one gagging on the thought.

“Yeah, but the thought of kissing you didn’t make me want to gag,” I bite out.

“That wasn’t because of you.” He rolls his eyes as though I’m ridiculous, and it’s annoying the hell out of me.

“Yeah, that’s believable.” I can’t stop myself from scoffing. It’s probably why the breath whooshes out of me as his mouth slams against mine.

I gasp, and yelp, before my body folds into his. Thallon’s hands slide into my hair as he tilts my head to deepen the kiss. I clutch at his shirt, as he pulls back.

My breathing is already ragged, as he stares at me through half hooded eyes.

“I don’t need some damn mistletoe to tell me when I should kiss someone.” He shakes his head before hitting play and my fingertips rest on my lips, as I sit here numb.

I don’t move until the end credits start to roll. I barely mumble out a “goodnight,” before I disappear into my room. He kissed me, Thallon kissed me. Does that mean this crush isn’t one sided, or is he toying with my emotions? Upping the ante to try and make me crack at long last.

I strip down to my bra and panties, as my door creaks open, I look over my shoulder to find him staring at me.

“Do I affect you, Koala girl? Do you hate me, or is it more complicated than that?”

“Definitely more complicated.”iIt comes out harshly as he steps into my room and closes the door. It isn’t necessary, seeing as we’re the only one’s here, but it still causes my heart rate to spike.

“Good.” It’s all he says before he swallows the distance, grips my hips, and captures my mouth. He isn’t forceful as he claims me.

I’m well aware of how little I’m covered, but it’s barely registering. I should care, but I don’t. I should stop this, but I can’t. So many shoulds and yet, none of them mean anything.

My hands travel up his back as his hand slides beneath the waistband of my panties. He slides his fingers though the wetness building in my core. Spreading it across me, and over my lips. I break my mouth away from his, as my head drops onto his shoulder. His chuckle makes his chest vibrate, as I grip the back of his shirt and hold on for dear life. This right here, this is more than two people, one of which should be hating the other.

He drags his hand out of my panties, before sliding his fingers into his mouth, sucking my juices clean off, as he licks them dry. My eyes follow the movement as I lift my head up to watch. I don’t want to miss a single second, even as he grips my ass and hauls me against his body. My legs wrap around his waist as he carries me over to the bed. He drops me down, and follows straight after.

My bra is unhooked in a matter of seconds, and my panties are soon thrown into oblivion as his eyes track over me. I am utterly bare to him, and yet, he is still fully dressed. This hardly seems fair, but I don’t dare open my mouth in case it breaks the spell we seem to have fallen under. I don’t want to stop, not for anything.

His hands make deft work of his button and zipper, before he slides his jeans down past his ass, taking his boxers with him. I gape as I take in the tattoos adorning his cock. Why anyone would want to do that, I have no idea. It looks painful, maybe even more so than Emmet’s piercings.

“Touch me, Luna,” he speaks softly, his words nothing more than a caress as he brings himself back against me, his head lining up with my neck, as my hand wraps around his hard, throbbing dick.

I move my hand up and down, slowly. Until he grips my hand with his own, showing me how tight and fast he likes it. I move the way he wants, and his head rests against my collarbone as I drag him close to the brink. His hands seem to be everywhere at once, one on my overly sensitive nipple, another pushing two fingers inside me. His mouth is sucking on my neck, no doubt marking me, letting everyone know what happened here tonight.

I clench around him as stars explode in front of my eyes, and with one swift push, my hand is forced out of the way as he sinks himself inside me. His hands cup my face, stroking against my cheeks. It’s sweet, tender, a complete contrast to the violent jerks of his hips. He hits my sweet spot every time, as I arch my back, and meet him thrust for thrust. By the time I get close to my second orgasm, he is right there with me. We fall over together, fully sated, with no idea of what tomorrow may bring.

Aeron: Tucker is coming back!

Why would Aeron send that to Thallon? How is it even possible? Did he find a way out of his engagement, or… did they get married while we were away?

We board the private jet and take off. I have the books his mom gave me tucked under my arm. Boss by Scarlett Ross, Vengeance by Crystal North and The Boys of Burberry Prep by C.M. Stunich. I’ve read the first two before, but these are mine, and not copies that I’ll ever have to give back. The text Aeron sent Thallon this morning is swimming through my mind. It doesn’t make sense. Sir made it clear he had to marry Rachel, so how did he escape that witch? I always hoped he would, I just never allowed myself to believe it could actually be possible.

“What’s the matter?” He turns in his seat to look at me head on.

“I don’t understand how Tucker got away from Rachel? How can he be back?”

“Strange things happen all the time. I’m sure you’ll find out sooner or later. Unless they keep that a secret from you as well.” He opens up a paper and starts browsing through it.

“I think you guys live on secrets, yet you always expect full disclosure from everyone else. It’s tiring.” I rub at my eyes as I lean back against the chair.

A stewardess comes down the aisle, giving us both a strange look.

“Bedroom now, Vanilla.” His voice turns hard and harsh. I feel as though I’ve just been given whiplash as I look at him.

“Now,” he barks, and I scramble to my feet, before following him to a room at the back.

Why a plane needs a bedroom, I have no idea. Probably so they can have sex with the stewardesses.

“Back to this I take it,” I mumble, staring at the ground, and wishing we could go back to Australia where he was nicer.

“What did you expect, that I would fall hopelessly in love with you like those other saps?” He snickers as he pulls me into a bathroom and turns the shower on.

“I can’t be nice to you, Luna, not around people who could tell Arthur. I have to be an asshole, whether I want to or not. At least until I release you, and then I’ll no longer be beholden to him.” His hands grace my sides as my head tilts back to look at him.

“So, this is just an act?” I hate how hopeful I sound.

“Yes, my Koala girl. Pretend it’s Opposite Day. Whatever I say in public, I mean something else entirely.” He kisses my mouth softly, drawing it out until I can hardly breathe.

My toes curl and my heart warms as he tangles our fingers together. His head rests against mine and it isn’t long before we’re lying on the bed. Nothing else happens, he just holds me to him, with his head resting on top of mine.

“How can you even stand this with all the shit I’ve done to you? I don’t get it.” I can’t see his face, but he sounds almost vulnerable, not a word I thought I’d ever use to describe Thallon.
