'Til The Last Lyric (Life of Debauchery #2 )(19)
Author: M. Robinson

“I wanna be you’re happily ever after. Please stay by my side. No matter how complicated this may get, love me through it.”

“I can’t unlove you, Cash McGraw.”

“Those damn eyes of yours will fuck me forever, Junie.”

It wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but I’d take it regardless.

“They’re wrong, though. ’Cuz I haven’t heard you beg me once.” Rubbing his nose on mine, he kissed me. “I’ve been waitin’. When are you gonna start beggin’ me for more, more, more, baby?”

“Would that make you touch me?”

“Not here. Not now.”

“Then what’s the point?”

“To make my heart ache for you.”

“I’m not a sadist.”

“Are you sayin’ I’m a masochist?”

“You’re something, Cash McGraw.”

“You’re right. I’m yours.”

I smiled like a fool. “What time do you have to leave for rehearsal for tonight’s show?”

“Soon.” He grinned.

“What?”

“Does my girl wanna go to a rock concert?”

“Are you being serious?”

“Mmm hmm.”

“I can come?”

“Oh.” He wiggled his eyebrows. “I’ll make you come, darlin’. I’ll make you come all fuckin’ night. In my mouth, down my chest, on my cock when I’m balls deep inside of you.”

“Promises, promises,” I gave lip. “So I get to be your groupie tonight?”

His tone drastically changed. “Don’t ever fuckin’ call yourself a groupie again.”

“Does that mean I’m your girlfriend?’ I asked, trying to lighten the hasty shift in his mood.

“I want you to be my wife, Junie.”

Every time he spoke those words, it took my breath away.

“But for now, you can just be my June. Get dressed, baby. ’Cuz today is the first day of many I’m gonna show you my world.”

I squealed like a little girl.

“Get ready to experience the best concert you’ve ever been to.”

“So I get a backstage pass?”

He didn’t hesitate in replying,

“Junie, I’m your backstage pass.”

Chapter 14

“Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.”

I sat on the couch in my private trailer at the arena, lacing up my sneakers. Mentally preparing myself to hit the stage for rehearsal for tonight’s sold-out show.

“Journey! What the fuck is takin’ you so long, darlin’?”

“Patience! I’m trying to look nice for you!”

I wasn’t used to waiting on anyone, especially a woman. I forgot how long they took to do anything.

“Junie, move that sweet little ass of yours! We gotta boogie!”

“Five minutes!”

What she really meant was twenty. I waited, going over the itinerary for tonight with my PA.

“You’ll do your rehearsal then come back and get ready. Your sound check starts at five o’clock sharp. Once you guys are done there, I’ll take you down to the meet and greet.”

“Can you make sure Journey is on every list she needs to be on?”

“Absolutely, I’ll grab her a lanyard. She can wait in here until the show starts, and I’ll make sure—”

“Naw, she’s comin’ wit’ me.”

“To rehearsal?”

I nodded.

“Alright, she can come back—”

“She’s gonna stay wit’ me until the show starts, and then she’ll watch from backstage.”

“You’re going to take her to sound check and the meet and greet?”

“What’s wit’ the tone?”

“Oh, I’m just ... confused.”

“Nothin’ to be confused ’bout. She goes where I go. Not just tonight, but from now on out.”

“Alright, then she needs to sign an NDA.”

“Fuck that, she don’t hav’ta sign shit. I trust her wit’ my life. Besides, she’s a journalist. She’s writin’ a piece on this tour for her college.”

“Cash, we didn’t get that approved.”

“I approved it.”

“That’s not your choice to make. Tony is going to lose his shit once he finds out you approved press on this tour without confirming it with him first.”

“Tony can kiss my ass.”

“Cash—”

“For Christ’s sake, Jamie. Quit givin’ me lip, and do as I say. It’s what I pay you for. Get Journey cleared on everything, now!”

She reluctantly sighed. “I need her driver’s license.”

I peered around the room, looking for the backpack she brought with her everywhere. Finding it on the far end of the couch, I unzipped it and pulled out her wallet. In my quick attempt of searching for her ID, a folded piece of paper fell out with her license.

“Here.” I handed it to Jamie.

“I’ll get it taken care of right away.”

For a second, I debated on whether or not to open the note. In the end, I couldn’t help myself. My curiosity won the best of me. I unfolded it, and in her handwriting, it read:

Bucket List

-Swim under a waterfall

-Hike Silver Falls State Park

-Go skinny-dipping

-Go on a hot air balloon ride

-Sleep underneath the stars in the desert

-Learn how to drive stick shift in a 67 Chevelle

-Set a Guinness World Record

-Have a star named after me

“Okay! I’m ready!” Journey exclaimed, making me jolt.

I threw her wallet back in her bag and folded the piece of paper, sliding it into my pocket instead. I wanted to finish reading the list that would lead me to her heart.

She walked outta the bathroom as I gazed up. “What the fuck are you wearin’?”

“What?” She played all innocent, holding a pair of scissors. “Don’t you like my outfit?”

“What outfit? There ain’t nothin’ left of it.”

“Sure there is. I just did some minor alterations.”

“Journey,” I warned in a low murmur.

“Cash! It’s a concert, and I’m wearing your merch!”

She’d cut up a Life of Debauchery shirt right underneath her tits. Slicing holes in the fabric to make it look like it was worn-out. Her jean shorts also received a makeover. The little minx cut those up too, showing off way too much leg and ass for my liking. To finish off her ensemble, she wore a pair of pink Chucks.

“Is that my belt?” I questioned, referring to the heavy metal strap she was wearing.

“Yep. I figured you wouldn’t mind, considering you love seeing me in your clothes, yeah?”

“Did you have all this planned out? Is that why you waited to change until we got here?”

She nodded, proud as fuck of herself.

“Dave!” I shouted for my head bodyguard.

My three-hundred-and-fifty-pound, six-foot-seven, pure muscle guard walked into the living room. “Yeah.”
