“I know you are all right, so I have decided to Skype them tomorrow lunchtime, which should be around teatime in England. I’m scared though Kenni, will you be with me?” He seems flabbergasted that I have asked him and I think I may have made a mistake, when he sees the panic setting across my face he speaks up.
“Luci, fuck, I did not expect that. You’ve gone from wanting to hide me to wanting me to meet them. I am very happy to do this with you, I’ll hold your hand darlin.” I didn’t actually mean meet them I only meant for him to be in the room with me, I need to stop being scared and face my decisions head on, I know right now, even after just a few days of being with him that Kenni will be a part of my life forever and my parents need to know this.
“Thanks babe, you have no idea what this means to me.” I kiss him sweetly and pretty soon things become more heated. We have both taken to sleeping naked so there are no clothes to remove. “I’ll come down with you and sort you out if that’s ok?” He grins widely at me.
“You want to take care of your man, that’s sweet, but you don’t have to, why don’t you go back to bed for a bit.” Kissing me on my nose he attempts to step out of our embrace before I tug him back.
“Yes of course I want to look after you, is that wrong of me? I’ll come down with you. I’m wide awake now anyway.” I move myself away from him before he can argue with me and he follows me back into the bedroom.
“Babe can you at least put some more clothes on, I don’t want the others seeing you like this.” I laugh in his face before putting a cardigan on over the top, I can tell he’s still not happy so I walk out of the room before he can argue anymore. I walk into the kitchen straight into his mum and dad.
“Good morning Luci, did you sleep ok honey?” Annett, his mum asks me. I can’t tell if they heard anything last night so I play dumb.
“Lovely thank you, it’s so peaceful here.” Heading for the coffee pot I grab two mugs and pore myself and Kenni a coffee each, making his to his specification, adding 1 sugar and milk, I take mine the same. I sit myself down at the table in the kitchen next to them when Kenni walks in, winking at me his bends down to kiss his mum.
“Morning, thanks babe.” Grabbing his coffee, he sits down next to me, jumping into conversation with his dad about what they were going to be doing today.
Annett busies herself making breakfast for everyone, I offer to help but she flat out refuses me. Jed walks in next, whilst he makes himself a coffee he looks at me and winks, I’m a little freaked out so I flick my eyes back to Annett, who looks like a natural in the kitchen.
“Sleep well Luci?” Jed asks and I can’t help blushing, I think I know why he’s asking and if my suspicions are correct, he heard us last night.
“Fine thank you, did you sleep ok?” His eyes light up like he’s hit the jackpot.
“I did, when I eventually got to sleep, the animal noises were pretty loud last night.” Fuck, he definitely heard us and I walked right into that one.
“Maybe you should close your window tonight or wear earplugs that block the noises out.” I don’t know where that come from, it’s really quite brazen of me.
“Hell, you’re a sassy little thing aren’t you darlin, I like you, you can stay.” He’s still laughing when Kenni pipes up.
“Jed, shut the fuck up and stop embarrassing her, and stop winking at her, I told you about that last night.” His parents are watching the exchange between the three of us with interest, I hope they didn’t pick up on what we were talking about, but looking at the grin on his dads face I don’t think anything escaped them at all.
Annett serves me my breakfast, which was great. After another coffee. I kiss Kenni goodbye and head towards the shower, Kenni tells me he’ll see me at lunchtime.
